FlexAmerican Dynamite
WZCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
Some interesting comparisons from last year's Unscripted to now I thought I'd share. Excuse me if some of my history a little screwed up, I wasn't around during that time and the only thing I'm going off is the show itself and the Unscripted 2011 preview from Pheonix.
World Title Scene
Last year Ty Burna, Steven Kurtesy, Big Dave, and Baller were all in the HIAC World title match.
This year Ty is seemingly gone, Kurtesy has also left, Dave is no longer an active wrestler and Baller's not even on the card.
Rookie Tournaments
Last year there was a tournament to crown a no.1 contender at AON. It was eventually won by Gordito, and while I think Gordito was around for a while during that time the tournament comprised of up and comers such as Saboteur, Saxton, Black Dragon, Chris Beckford, and the Internet Warrior. Out of those six Saxton and Saboteur are the only competitors still here.
This year there was a Mentor Program which saw eight rookies attempt to battle their way towards some goal (which is currently unknown). Only two rookies remain in the running, and just barely a step up from last year only three of the competitors in the program are still with the company.
Sam Smith and the Elite X title
Last year Sam Smith defended his Elite X title against Steven Holmes in a two out of three falls match.
This year Smith is once again defending the Elite X belt against Triple X while Holmes is one of the four men inside this year's HIAC.
Barbosa and SHIT
Last year SHIT was in a Mayhem Turmoil match and Barbosa was battling Wasabi Toyota for the KFAD briefcase.
This year SHIT and Barbosa are battling each other in what people are predicting to be one of the most brutal matches ever witnessed.
Eurasian Title
Last year the belt was defended by Blade against Black Dragon, Chris Beckford, and The Internet Warrior, all four of those competitors are now gone from the company.
This year the belt is being defended by Rush against Celeste Crimson, Matt Tastic, and El Califa Dragon, all four of those people weren't around last year with the slight exception of Tastic who technically was called Baez at the time and was waging war against Titus who is another man in the HIAC World title match.
Tag Team Titles
Lat year Stantime( Stan Rogers and Showtime Cougar) defended the belts against Runn Reynolds Runn (Austin Reynolds and Ricky Runn) and Mind Over Matter ( Hiraku Susmu and Alexander Stark).
This year the belts are held by Saboteur/Saxton and being defended against Strikeforce and everybody who was in last year's match is gone except Ricky Runn who is now trying his luck in singles competition. And Showtime Cougar who is currently World Champion and is defending his belt in the HIAC match.
That's pretty much all the comparisons I have the made the connection to, if anybody has any they can think of feel free to post them. It's interesting how similar or not similar things can be in a year.
