Universal Studios Implementing Anti-Spoiler Movement

I don't really have a problem with them doing this. I do read spoilers but I'm sure people can just remember what happened and write them after the show.

I just find it a little petty for TNA to be blaming Universal Studios for this when Universal has no real stake in whether the show is being spoiled or not, as long as they're going to the attraction. Just because they're using Universal Studios Security doesn't mean the decision came from Universal.

But in all reality, this is really a non-issue. Spoilers will be posted regardless and not much will change for Universal or TNA so, who gives a shit?

I don't have a problem with this. I've always thought that part of the reason why TNA and Smackdown get low ratings are because people read the spoilers then don't watch the show.

Though I do think that it is TNA doing it and not Universal Studios, why would US have any problem with this? I think it's TNA trying to do something to help TV numbers since they're terrible. So that part is pretty petty.

But overall it's a good idea. Yes, spoilers will get out anyway but to limit them as much as you possibly could is a good thought.

Somehow it would not surprise me if this was TNA's decesion to do this more so than Universal's. I think they are trying to save face because their Ratings are terrible and don't want everyone to read what happens. As someone said earlier people are going to remember what happens,go home, and send the Results to someone who runs a News site like this one. So its really another petty move by TNA. Im glad WWE hasn't done this.

You wanna link to the post where it says they cant use cell phones at all?
I read the headline on the main site several times and it says they cant use cell phones TO TEXT SPOILERS! Nothing about texting in general so maybe you should learn how to read before calling anyone else's post illogical?

Guys like Seth and Brian don't care about that. It is funny how you don't see them around until there is negative news weather they post it or chime in with their usual hate comments. Now before anyone starts calling me a fan boy remember this. I don't mind criticism on TNA as long as it is informative and researched information.

If anyone actually did any research on this the person that did get kicked out because of UNIVERSAL was a PWInsider reader who would send in the results. Well both him and PWInsider reported that TNA apologized and told him he wasn't banned and he was able to return the next night and he was back sending in reports.

Also TNA doesn't tape shows months in advance for who ever said that earlier. They tape two shows every two weeks. The first taping on Monday airs that week on Thursday. Then Tuesday's taping airs the following week on Thursday. Then they repeat that process.

Even though this is Universial's doing, I still don't get this idea at all.

It's a taped show, spoiler's will get out one way or another. Somebody can write them on the back on a sign with a crayon, it does'nt matter, spoiler's will leak out unless they don't allow anyone in the Impact Zone during the show, or they go live. People don't even have ot write detailed spoiler's, just who who faced woh, who won, and who was in a promo. There done.

People have brain's, people have memory. Universial is acting like since that can't text during the sho then there wont be any spoiler's, people will forget what happened. Let's say a big name debut's on a taping, say Goldberg, it'll leak out becuase people that went to the show will go home and talk about it.

The only way TNA, or Universial can stop spoiler's is if they go live.

Agreed , but there is a reason that they don't go live. Like i said earlier, TNA wrestlers/knockouts can wrestle for who they want around the world (except WWE and now ROH) if its not on tv. They could go live , but going live with maybe 20% of your roster is not good.

You wanna link to the post where it says they cant use cell phones at all?

That's the impression I got from the copious number of articles about this and from shattered dreams, whose post I'm challenging.

I read the headline on the main site several times and it says they cant use cell phones TO TEXT SPOILERS! Nothing about texting in general so maybe you should learn how to read before calling anyone else's post illogical?

Oh! You read the headline?! BRILLIANT! But, have you thought how hard it would be to prevent people from texting certain information? No? Well, it would be a very hard. Now stop embarrassing yourself.

Wrong already. I judge all wrestling the same. TNA just isn't a good product, therefore I criticise it. You ARE a fanboy purely because you criticise others for criticising TNA fairly.

If anyone actually did any research on this the person that did get kicked out because of UNIVERSAL was a PWInsider reader who would send in the results. This is the first I've heard of it. Isn't it weird that TNA would override a Universal instruction to eject people texting spoilers just one day later? Seems very bizzare to me and if it's true, it sounds like TNA originally implemented this rule and then backtracked when they saw the potential negative coverage they could get. I'm not saying that's what happened, but given that they went over Universal's head one day later, it looks like it could have.

What's wierd is someone who obviously has nothing better to do than come into forum about a company he doesn't like and talk shit about it. You don't like TNA good stop posting here because your nothing but a annoying troll.

How am i embarrassing myself? There is no reason why saying that you are wrong should embarrass me at all.

Something i find weird with the is they say universal Studios is making this policy is that if you go to the Universal Studios they say video cameras and audio recording devices aren't allowed but nothing about texting.

Video cameras and audio recording equipment is not allowed. We reserve the right to deny admission at any time for any reason, and audience members may be moved or removed from the venue at our discretion. Show may cancel and schedules and/or audience requirements may alter at any time.

Just another reason for TNA to leave Universal Studios. Spoilers and reports of house shows will happen anywhere. How can you stop people from texting on their phones? Either you have to ban cell phones from the arena or look at the audience like a hawk. No wrestling event I have been to has told the audience not to use their phones. How does Universal know whether someone is texting a friend or writing a report? Its asinine.

They can ban camera's, but they can't erase people's memories. That's why I don't understand what their trying to do, a fan can take a crayon to the show and write what happen's on a show on the back of a poster.

People can go home right after the show and post spoiler's on a forum, or a website, who's gonna stop them. Spoiler's will get out unless they go live. I never compare wrestling to a sport, but it's like a NFL game's being taped happening and the NFL trying to stop people from posting spoiler's, but they WILL get out. Unless they erase people's memory, they will get out.

Well its not stupid to try and keep what happens on the show a secret until it is aired, not at all. I commend them for trying but truthfully its just a big waste of time.

I understand why they are doing it and they aren't the 1st company to try either, seinfeld made the entire audience sign a confidentiality waiver for the series finale because they wanted the public to be surprised so it wasn't ruined for them.

The problem is in this day and age you have the internet that will spoil anything that leaks and its not hard to remember for someone to actually remember the results and write about it an hour later, no matter how hard they try they are fighting a losing battle, they would have to labotomize the audience after every impact to pull this off!

I get what they are trying to do but there is no point to fight a battle they can't win. The only show that pulls that off is raw and that's because its live, its the only way they can accomplish their goal.

deanerandterry, agreed there is no way to prevent spoilers from appearing. The only way to do this would be to do it Men in Black style, but you would risk that the wrestlers wouldn't remember how to wrestle.

I think we can all agree on this and then move on.

It is stupid for Universal to do this because people have a memory and can go home and just give the results. However it is not that big of a deal they are doing this and there really is no point in beating a dead horse.

Stupid? Yes. Does it really fucking matter? No.

TNA IS NOT THE ONE MAKING THE DECISION HERE.

If this is true, and I'm very skeptical, why does Universal care? It's a legitimate question, and if you have an answer, please share.

I really hope WWE introduces a literacy test requirement to view their product.

Of course, you had make this about WWE fans. Because this really has a lot to do with WWE and their stupid fans, right?

Personally, this doesn't bother me, as I live nowhere near Orlando, and will never see a live taping of Impact (probably). However, it's a bit silly. TNA/Universal can do what they like, seeing it's a free show. However, this seems like a rather aggressive reaction to a problem that won't be solved anyway.

If you don't like spoilers, go live. Same goes for Smackdown.

Dixie is such a huge TNA mark that it's numbed her brain. Same goes for Universal. This is why TNA is a bush league and a second rate "promotion" that will never amount to anything. So you grab people by their hairs and kick them out if they text spoilers to the sheets, but the spoilers still come out. O ... kay. Where's the logic in that? It's like wiping your ass and still having a dirty ass when you go out of the bathroom. If wiping doesn't work .. don't do it.

TNA sucks so bad and this is one of the reasons why.
