Throughout the years, we've seen a wide array of uniforms used in the sports world. Which one would you rate the best, and which one would you rate the worst?


I'll list the worst on first for me. The current San Diego Padres alternate uniform is disgusting. Not only does camo not look cool as a uniform, it has nothing to do with San Diego, or the team name. Thankfully, they'll only dust it off for use about 3 times a season.

Honorable Mention for worst: Quebec Nordiques (Awful is the nicest word I can think of)

The best, in my opinion, is the Washington Capitals jersey. I don't like the team, but their jerseys before they switched to the stupid eagle, were among the best in hockey. They were simple, but they were easy on the eyes. They have something very similar to it now, but the original ones were much better.

Honorable Mention for best: New York Yankees pinstripes (I loathe the Yankees, but you can't deny the beauty in these)

Best: Toronto Maple Leafs. What more can you ask for? It's the logo and the team name with their colors. That's as simple as you can get and it looks perfect. There's no overly complicated design or anything like that. You have no doubt who they are and it just looks awesome to me, always has.

And, what does that have to do with "Padres"?

I'd rather see them walk out in all black, with a white collar, then see them play in camo. It doesn't look good, and I don't think they've ever won a series while wearing them.

The only player that every made the camo looks good, was Trevor Hoffman. But, with as good as he pitched, he could make any uniform look good.

Yes, even the old school Pirates.

I have been searching around trying to find some pictures of some of the AFL jumpers that I think are the best and worst, so I might add to this thread later.

Below is an old AFL jumper that I believe is shocking. That of the old Brisbane Bears. Jumper was crap and the team was crap until they merged with Fitzroy to become the Brisbane Lions and then won 3 flags in a row.

Well, I'm sure some of those marines have kids...making them the padre to that child.

Seriously though, I think they just wear them during appreciation promotions for those at Camp Pendleton. Most of their fan base consists of Marines, so I have no problem with the camo. My problem is with their not trading Jake Peavy to the Astros when he asked for it this winter.

I disagree completely on camo not looking good on a uniform..

Army debuted these in the Army/Navy game last year. Bad fucking ass, Nothing more needs to be said. Camo helmet, numbers and pants. Epic.

Penn State would be the other. Simple, classic look and great colors.

The worst uniform are those shitty Padre Taco Bell unis from the 70's-early 80's. You think the camo is bad, just google it. It's turrable.
