Unified Tag Titles

This is a pet peeve of a topic but its been bugging me for a while. We all know that they tag team titles were "unified" at Wrestlemania 25 and can appear on all WWE programs and defended on the latter in an attempt to add prestige to the tag division. Since the titles were unified, why don't they just make one new belt? Instead of the wrestlers each carrying 2 belts, why not make a newly designed unified belt? I don't know if anyone likes the 2 belt look but I think it'd make sense with just one new belt. Thoughts?

they are probably keeping the two belts because at some stage they could become two different championships again. personally i think ECW should be a two hour show like smackdown and Raw and have their own tag title, the cruiserweight or light heavyweight title and the hardcore championship.. it would make it more interesting
