Underestimated/Underated WWF/E Moments

TheKev

Dark Match Winner
Not sure if the title explains this as well as I want.

We al know the big OMFG moments that WWF/E push down our throats on the best of DVDS. Mankind HIAC, Rockers Split, Hogan lifting Andre. Nexus, Rock Hogan Hardy jumping of anything he can find because he was pretty shit etc etc.

So I wanted to know what you all thought were moments that shocked you. Ones you didnt see coming a mile off, that you search high and low on you tube to find.

For me it was the arrival of the Radicalz. I had just got back into wrestling at the time and was only just begining to learn of Monday night wars and all that. I remember watching WCW one week (I dont know why) and then the next seeing these 4 guys turn up. I think their heel turn on Foley was another one too. I thought that was really well done, especially by HHH. That man sure can play the arrogant all powerfu heel.

yours?

Some are Mark out moments but Besides the obvious ones, here are some of mine:

* Most recently Rock returning to Host WM, i was caught of guard. I had read the rumors and all that though, including it being Justin Bieber, in all honesty though The Rock rumors i didn't believe, as it just seemed like he was never gonna come back, Then he came out, it was one of the best moments in recent memory.

* Brett Hart coming back to WWE, again rumors and stuff built this up, But until it was actually Official, i was shocked, especially since i had only finished his book 2 months prior, and some of the stuff he said in it, it just seemed he would never come back.

* DDP being revealed as stalking the Undertaker's wife, this was during the time before i discovered wrestling site's such as this, so i honestly had no clue, and it completely caught me off guard, was a great moment to see him in WWE, despite how ppl think he was used, he had a decent run for someone his age at the time.

* Not a great moment but the Katie Vick storyline sticks out (would like to see WWE put that on a greatest moment DVD) but seriously it was shockingly awful, and just plain shocking as well, as in are WWE seriously doing this? i seriously questioned whether i was watching on of them late night Murder file TV shows or Jerry Springer it was bad. to the point i almost didn't watch WWE again.

* The First Time Brock Lesnar used the F5 on the Big Show, i honestly thought he'd never do it. Hogan's slam in comparison was just nothing (it was big for it's time) but yeah i don't think there were many displays of a move like that in many years being done on the biggest guy around.

* and Finally, The Shockmaster!! (though technically not a WWF/E moment, i just had to throw it in). And cause it's so funny : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3CL28vgE4U

A couple of shocking moments that come to mind that are not always featured on highlight dvds or packages are Alberto Del Rio winning the 2011 rumble and Matt Hardy betraying his brother at the 2009 Royal Rumble during the WWE Championship match between Jeff Hardy and Edge. The 2011 rumble is pretty obvious, because the winners of it usually are already main eventers and at this point of his career, Alberto had barely been with the company for six months. Put Simply, it was the most surprising royal rumble winner ever.

As for Matt Hardy hitting Jeff with a chair and costing him his WWE Championship, it was very shocking because Matt had been always helping his brother for the past year and also becuasat e this point, everyone was expecting a returning Christian to return during this match and not return on ECW of all places the next Tuesday.

1. King Kong Bundy destroys Little Beaver @ WMIII. Jokes everywhere.

2. Rock vs Mankind @Halftime Heat. That was just a great match. No crowd, obvious fake bits. The best part was the camera view as the forklift's arm was smashing the ROck. Pricelss stuff.

3. Ronnie Garvin on Frenchy Martin @WMV. We had to suffer the last year or two of that piece of garbage Frenchy, unloading all of that French garbage everywhere. Then in one night Garvin does EVERYONE a favor and takes him out with a Garvin Stomp. A week later, Dino Bravo has Jimmy Hart as his manager. Ron Garvin will always be one of my favorite guys, just because of that moment. Well that and when he dressed in drag to take out JJ Dillon, but that's another story.

4. Mean Gene trying to interview Rick Rude at Summerslam 89. The sign falls, Gene unloads a F-Bomb and the camera cuts immediately to the crowd. GOOD STUFF!!!!

5. The debut of the music video Jive Soul Bro on Superstars in 1987. Oh man, that was the greatest music video ever!!!!!!!!!!
