Tyson Kidd and Jinder Mahal

MoizH28

Pre-Show Stalwart
Last week we saw Kidd and Mahal in a backstage segment on SD with the Big Show and it got me thinking. Currently these two are doing nothing and Mahal still isnt that great in the ring. Why not have these to team up?

To those that think this is random Mahal actually grew up in Canada so they can say him Kidd grew up friends or something. Kidd could carry the wrestling aspect while Mahal improves a bit more in the ring. Together they could make a team which consist of Strength and Speed.

So do you guys think Kidd and Mahal in a team could work? Do you agree it would be a nice fix for both of these men?

I believe Tyson has what it takes in the ring, he is rather good. But as you stated Jinder isn't the greatist. I would have no problem seeing these guys tag together on Nxt or for the belts. It could be a good small push for a heel tag team, I wouldn't put the belts on them. But in working with other superstars with in ring tallent Jinder could really get better.

I hope WWE doesn't do this as I think Tyson Kidd could really move up in the ranks if he was moved to Smackdown. But nonetheless, if it'll help out the tag team division, I don't see why not. Kidd will obviously carry the work load and Mahal would gain experience and would improve greatly.

So yes, I think they'll work as a tag team. Don't know how they would explain them tagging though, but maybe what Uncle Phatso said above about Canada being a common ground would work.

This could work. They would complement each other well. Mahal is comfortable on the mic (even when he speaks in English) and gets a bit of heat (atleast more than Kidd) and Kidd is quite good in the ring. This could be a good chance for both to showcase their skills.

I wouldn't buy that. Saying Mahal grew up in Canada would just have me thinking what the fuck, he's from India. Just looking at them together would look ridiculously thrown together and I don't think anyone would actually care much what 2 jobbers are doing in a tag team.

Even if you found some perfect reason to have them team together, it still wouldn't work. Mahal is just awful. Kidd is okay, not very entertaining though.
Wouldn't work.

I suppose it could work as long as it's conceptualized as a lower mid-level tag team without a lot to prove and without much room to grow.....in other words, filler.

Tyson Kidd is an underrated ring worker but uninspiring on the mic. Jinder Mahal still looks to me to be built more like a pro basketball player than a wrestler. He can bring some mild interest to the mic, but he's surely nothing special in the ring.

With Jinder bringing the mouth and Tyson the body, they might have the elements of a tag team. Or not.

Good idea actually. Just like it's been said, one has the skill in the ring, the other has it on the mic. Which is what you really need. It's a very odd pairing for a tag team, without a doubt, but it's also a tag team I could see in the future. You'd only then have to hope though that in the future, they don't split up too soon, otherwise you'd look back on it as being totally pointless.

Why not? Neither one of them are doing anything important at the moment and the tag team division could always use more people. They would already be the second best team in the division behind Air Boom because The Usos really suck and I don't see much good coming from the Epico/Primo team either. Tyson could handle most of the in-ring work and promos while Jinder can work a foreign comedic relief sidekick type character. Teaming with Tyson could also help Jinder improve some. Works for me. Make it happen, WWE! Or don't, since both guys are so busy with all of the nothing you are currently having them do.

Nope. I want Kidd to be pushed. He's in the top 5 best wrestlers in-ring in the WWE. Mahal is below average. All I see this doing is dragging Kidd even further. Mahal needs to develop his skills in FCW. Kidd should just try his best to get better on the mic.

I don't think it would work. We have already learned much of the backstory to Jinder Mahal but now all of sudden he grew up in Canada. The team wouldn't make much sense and neither one is very good on the mic either. The WWE doesn't focus enough on the tag division for these two to really ever become a threat and I doubt they would get any TV time whether singles or in a tag team

Yeah i'm not sure about this one, while they could mesh together well with each of them bringing diffenet elements to the team I really don't see them catching on. I don't want to sound undecided here but while I think that considering the current state of the tag team division it's a good time to give it a shot, I really think that the Jinder Mahal boat sunk right after it left port. I personally really enjoy Tyson Kidd, I think he's underrated and could carry the team with his great ring work, but Mahal is such a damn buzzkill. I really expected him to be a success when he came to the WWE with the hype he had but damn did he fall short of those expectations. His mic skills were what I thought would carry him when he got here but it's done the opposite and has just become annoying, kind of like Alberto Del Rio with all the damn switching between languages, and his ring abilities are nothing to get excited about. So while it would be something interesting to see I don't think it would work out well and it would most likely die after a few appearances on Raw. I really would like to see Kidd get into another tag team though, he isn't doing great as a singles wrestler and atleast in a tag team he'd have a chance to shine.

The last thing one needs in reviving a flagging division is a pair of talented but voiceless grunts teaming up and contending against another pair of talented but voiceless grunts.

What the tag team division needs is a pair of wrestlers who can talk who could be a believable foil to Air Boom (or whatever replaces Air Boom if Kingston gets punished for his partner's actions and stripped of the championship). Tyson Kidd and Jinder Mahal aren't those people.

Talented?? Tyson maybe but even still he's meat to be fed to the big dogs and thats his only use he won't become anything higher then what he is now as for mahal just release this guy he is boring in and out of the ring and dnt get me started on his mic work zzzzzzz

Anything to get Kidd on TV. The guy's way too talented to not at least make other people look great. I'm not entirely convinced that Jinder is terrible, but only because we haven't seen much of him in the ring. If Kidd could at least teach him some things then we might get another quality midcarder out of this. The tag division is about as dead as can be, so getting some more bodies in there can only do some good, and Kofi and Evan are gonna need someone to feud with once Evan's suspension is up.
