On August 20, 2012, the Ottumwa Police Department received a report from TNA Enterprises that their heavyweight wrestling championship belt had been stolen during a show in Ottumwa on August 18th. TNA Enterprises is a national professional wrestling organization based out of Nashville, Tennessee. The belt, valued at $6,000.00, along with a replica valued at $400.00, was taken during TNA’s performance at the Bridgeview Center located at 102 Church Street in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Following an investigation into the theft, 33-year-old Joel Ryan Luke of Ottumwa was arrested on August 29th and charged with Theft in the 2nd Degree in violation of Chapter 714.1. Theft in the 2nd Degree is a Class “D” Felony. Luke was released from the Wapello County Jail after posting $5,000.00 bond.

On August 30th, 39-year-old Forrest Courtney Jamison of Ottumwa was arrested and charged with Accessory After the Fact in connection with the theft of the belts. Accessory After the Fact is an Aggravated Misdemeanor. Jamison was released from the Wapello County Jail after posting $3,000.00 bond.

The report notes that both the TNA Title and the replica belt have been recovered and returned.

If they can plead this down to misdemeanor and some community service, I'd say it's totally worth it.

You know, if I was a law-breaking hooligan.

If I were Hogan and Dixie, my mindset is to bring these two guys into TNA as an angle. Let them serve their time or drop ll charges and get them out quietly, but may come off better letting them serve time. Then when they get out have them in an angle where they come in as uncontracted aspiring wrestlers who want and will do anything for the belt. Have Hogan say if they want the belt so much that they'll go to the lengths of stealing it then that shows some balls to risk their freedom for the belt.

They dont have to start invading the show cause they could never be what his nWo was but rather a cheap rip off, and not even that, so he's gonna let them into the company and have them unleash their passion for the belts, but they'll have to work their way up from the bottom and either feed them to a duo or two singles matches have them lose against some monster talent. Or have them fight each other on their first night in, maybe keep one and lose the other. winner gets a title shot, loser gets fired.

No matter how you do it I would let those guys in TNA and just have the basic reasoning be if they'll go to those lengths to get the belt then they belong there and they may just desire that bet more than any of the boys in the back

Call me stupid, I dont care. If I'm TNA I'd want the publicity of letting two people charged with theft on my belts in my company AND I'd have them kick the stagehand's ass on live TV before firing that person for real on the air.

Take that shit and roll with it and Hogan's always talking about TNA being real and stuff, this and that, here's your chance Hollywood.

The problem with that idea is it would encourage more fan jackassery. Like some guy will figure "Well if those two got to be on the show for stealing a belt I'll bet I can be on TV for starting a drunken brawl in the seats." You'll also get more morons deciding to jump over the barricade and disrupt the show and start fights with the wrestlers. No the best way to handle it is let the cops give `em three hots and a cot down at the jailhouse.
