Okay, simple enough question to everyone out there. If you go back in time, & could change one match, title change, storyline or decision in wrestling history (yes, WWE, WWF, ECW, WCW, TNA etc) then what would it be? Why? What would happen in it's place? What reprocussions would it have today? You can go into as much detail as you like, or not, depending on the enormity of the change. Or would you keep everything the same? If so, hy?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is...

If you could turn back the pendulum, what would you change?

First of all, do you know what a Pendulum is? You can't really "turn it back" since it just swings back and forth and doesn't tell time.
So I think it's better to say "turn back the clock".

What I'd change isn't exactly a title change or story line, but if I could I'd prevent Triple H's quad injury in 2001 so we could see what he would have done with the Invasion Angle.

Summerslam 1997 - WWF Intercontinental Championship - Owen Hart (C) vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin - I would tell Owen to not use the sitdown piledriver, instead use like 3 neckbreakers or tombstone piledrivers. This change's two things, Austin would not of been out most of 2000 this giving us that Dream 3 -Way of the Attitude Era's Top Stars, it gurantees Austin at Mania, and maybe not him quitting in 2002 and carrying on after Wrestlemania XIX

I would change 2 different things.

First would be the Owen Hart & DX fued right after Bret left. First give Owen the title & have him lead the Hart Foundation. WHile that give Anvil & Bulldog the tag titles for a little. When they have the belts have them threaten to leave for WCW (just for ratings). Th ehart Foundation would of gotten even bigger if possible.

Second is the Invasion angle. Make it go longer till Goldberg n& all of them came in. Alot of ppl have said that but no one mentions how if they would of kept arrivals the same Brock Lesner would of been ECW. They could of had a great yr or two of matches and fueds leading to a War Games Match @ Survivor Series.

I would change the main event of Wrestlemania 8. We never did get Hogan vs Flair for the WWF title.

Always wanted to see it in a WWF ring, always felt shafted from that one.

HAVING STING BEAT HOGAN CLEAN FOR THE BELT AT STARRCADE 97, have sting run through nWo in title defenses til june, have hogan win it back at great american bash, goldberg wins it at bash at the beach, move ddp/malone vs hogan/rodman to road wild, have wolfpac vs hollywood, loser disbands at wargames, wolfpac wins, hogan moves on to feud with bret hart til starrcade, then u have a starrcade 98 that looks like this :

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE (Face vs Face)
Goldberg vs Sting

Hollywood Hogan vs Bret Hart

US TITLE
Chris Benoit vs DDP

TAG TITLES
Nash/Hall vs Giant/Stiener

I would change the fact that Nash ended Goldberg's undefeated streak. It should have remained intact until he had a chance to defeat everyone. That way someone else could have been built up at the same time, someone who could have really gotten a massive push out of it, Jericho perhaps, and then have that person be the one to end Goldberg's streak while he had gotten to the very top still undefeated. That person whoever they were would be instantly over. I would rather have seen this scenario because ending Goldberg's streak was one of the many downfalls of WCW.

I wouldve changed the way miz became WWE champion. I think he wouldve gotten more over if he wouldve been a face and then won the title, Because it wouldve established his place as the next "face" of the WWE. When he won the title, No one saw him as the face they just saw when he lost it.

David Von Erich never dies and beats Flair for the belt at Texas Stadium instead of Kerry. David would have had a longer reign and would be talked about as one of the greats today of this happened.

Someone put's Starrcade 97, so I'll put my second choice:

I would stop Bob Backlund from beating Superstar Graham in 78. Graham was so over in 77-78, he was the first real anti hero in wrestling. More people began to cheer him than boo him, and McMahon Snr. did not know how to handle it. He decided to drop the title to Opie Cuningham himself Bob Backlund, who was an amatur wrester. Big mistake, if Graham had his chance, he would have become the face of the WWWF, and could have been in the main event of the first Wrestlemania
