Triple H, The Greatest Ever

I'll never deny that HHH is a great wrestler, but he is not the greatest ever... not even close. You need more than title reigns to be considered the greatest ever (although I'm quite aware there are other reasons for him to be considered the Greatest such as longevity).

My biggest problem with HHH is that he has been at the top for so long that most people (including myself) are just sick and tired of seeing the same shit like we had for the last decade (and to be fair, you can't blame HHH for that, even if he is bangin the bosses daughter, its Vinces company and he makes the final decision). WM25 would have been a great time and place for HHH to lose to Orton and maybe make the WWE feel a little more fresh and new. HHH is great, but he is stale and old and it is time for other superstars to take his spot (Orton, Edge and Jericho are at this point ahead of HHH and all 3 could take his spot). Just like Hogan, HHH has run his course and it's time for him to step down.

He had a great run but it has to end.

PS. I would put Hogan, Austin, Andre, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and a few others ahead of HHH for the greatest ever. In my opinion (just my own) these guys were just leaps and bounds better.

OK Triple Hollywood isn't the greatest of all time that title would go to "NATURE BOY" RIC FLAIR WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!! Triple Hollywood is a good worker and has done great for the business I agree with that but he's not the greatest of all time OR of this Generation that would be "STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN !! a gret aface and heel turns Triple Hollywood wasn't and never will be a good face plays a MUCH better Heel . I would put him in the top 20 All time greats Top 10 of this generation .

After the performance at Wrestlemania 25, i think we can all safely say that HHH is the greatest wrestler of the generation. From humble beginnings as Hunter Hearst Helmsley to The Game, we have seen the evolution of a true champion.

Obviously there are some detractors. Some people who say that randy orton should have been the one walking out of reliant stadium with the title around his waist. I must disagree respectfully. Randy Orton is no where near ready to be able to take HHH spot. The Age of Orton is still at adolecence. HHH did what was absolutely necessary for the company, and wouldnt keep the title otherwise. The IWC may love orton, but he is not yet ready to carry the company, and HHH is the most over man of the decade no doubt. Could you find a better face to carry the company? I believe not.

I ask you this. IF RVD, Booker T and Randy Orton have all been "buried", then riddle me this. If they were truly the future of the business, how come they couldnt kick out of a pedigree? Something isnt right there and im sure you alll know it.

HHH is also known to carry giants and behemoths to excellent matches. Last year against Mark Henry during the 3 hour draft RAW was some of the most exciting and fast paced minutes of my wrestling watching life. His battles against Khali and Big show have left me breathless is wonderment.

Alas, Triple H is the greatest champion of all time, 13 times to be precise, and I truly believe that main event was Match of the night, if not year material. Perhaps im not ingratiating myself to those such as Y 2 Jake, but im calling him out if he believes there is a bigger drawing, better wrestler than HHH this side of the pacific. I'd like to close with a statement that holds as true today as it did on Unforgiven 2004

Triple H taught Randy Orton everything that he knows, but not everything that HHH knows. Triple H. Greatest Ever.

Ok.. Who let HHH in the wrestlezone forums?

I will say this.. HHH isn't the best of this generation. Don't get me wrong. I think even WITHOUT Stephanie in the picture, he still would have been multiple champion, he is an AMAZING talent..

But there are WAAAAAY too many talents right now, ESPECIALLY young talents, that should be uptop and AREN'T because HHH is on top, and SHOULDN'T be.

People say he's the modern day Hogan.. Well, at LEAST Hogan's reign on top drew HUGE in professional wrestling and even made a change in wrestling.

And you look at the past, so has many others. Rock, Austin, they've all made a huge impact.

HHH on the other hand, HASN'T. And the reason is simple. HE ISN'T THE GUY TO BE UP THERE. ESPECIALLY as a face. WWE should be focusing on Cena (And making him LIKED by EVERYONE) Rey (Being a HUGE draw) and even people like Jeff Hardy and so forth. And yet HHH wants to be the top everything. If he's a face he wants to be top face, when he's heel he IS the top heel. (Which is the reason why Orton always loses because he's a threat, but I already have a thread for that) HHH isn't going to do anything to improve the WWE for the best. He's going to just keep the same crowd around, and Vince wants ratings.. HHH isn't the guy to do it because his time has run out.

To give the best example.. If he's so great and that's the reason why he's champ for so long, then WHY hasn't HBK held the title more since he's returned? It's simple.. Because Shawn LOVES the business and LOVES wrestling and only cares about making great matches and building careers. He should be 20 time champ with how great he is still.

HHH is AMAZING. But the reason why he's the best SO many times and is the best while others that want to be the best CAN'T, is because of his power.

And because of that, I lost all respect for him..

From 2002-2008 HHH has ran with the ball in WWE and he is definitely one of the greatest stars of this generation. Maybe not the best of all time but certainly one of the best of this generation. The guy has been both the most hated heel and one of the most loved faces in the company and continues to be a very big draw as he puts over talent. Orton, HHH, Batista, Cena (to an extent), Benoit, Shelton Benjamin, Jeff Hardy. HHH has helped all of these guys become stars.

Of all the talent you claim he put over, one stands out, HHH, he certainly went all out to put THAT guy over anyone else for sure. Batista is the only other guy he grudgingly helped, the others you mention were quickly slapped back into place by the same guy you claim helped them.

OMG... I think I'm gonna throw up ....

Triple H & Stephanie should be ashamed of what their doing.... They're ruining this industry!

Triple HHH and greatest ever should never EEHHHHHVER be mentioned in the same sentence. Here's why...

We can dispute that HHH wouldn't be where he was at if he wasn't in the McMahon family. Fact is, HHH IS in the McMahon family and he was going to be big anyway. Why? Because he wouldn't let himself be any less than the best. His work ethic, overall passion, and ability to carry people are admirable. He's a student of the business and he knows how to work the mic and tell a story. Does that make him the best ever? No.

He's nowhere near the elite as best ever. When you say 'Greatest Ever', you're putting HHH in the same category as Flair, Hogan, Piper, Harley Race, Rhodes, Thesz, O'Connor, Jackie Fargo, Hansen, Sting, Bret Hart, Jerry Lawler, Nick Bockwinkel, and Steve Austin. HHH isn't simply in their league and never will be. Why? He's not original. He uses the Spinebuster (Arn Anderson), Jumping Kneelift (Race), Crossface (Benoit), and the high knee drop (Flair). HHH does draw, and you can't dispute that. However, just like Hogan, HHH isn't ready for anyone to take his spot yet. Hence, why he squashed Orton.

HHH is damn good, but nowhere near the greatest ever. Flair admires him, because of HHH's politics. Power = Main event. HHH didn't get to where he is because of Stephanie, but he's STAYED where he is because of her. Can't dispute that. And HHH didn't teach anyone anything.

Ahhh...here come the mindless marks of WWE! HHH doesn't sell, John Cena doesn't sell....those are facts!
First off I'm not a Triple H fan, nor am I a John Cena. I'm a Randy Orton/Jeff Hardy fan. I have enough common sense to see what Triple H and John Cena do for the business though

Let me ask you, how did Cenas movie do? Good, eh? That wasn't wrestling you complete tool!
You're the one who brought up the fact that he made the movies, in a Triple H thread. So I have to say the only one looking like a tool right now is you.
So, Cena dosnt sell in "theaters", nor in wrestling....Cena and HHH are the problems of WWE!
Check merchandise
Before you jump on a "realistic" wrestling fan, get your knee pads off, when you realize wrestling is DEAD! When vince goes away from his failed ventures: XFL, WWE Movies....and actually focuses on.....WRESTLING!!! We can begin a NEW ERA of WRESTLING! You sheep.....

We're entering a new era of wrestling; PG Wrestling. If you don't like it move on, like I said. You won't be missed.
