Tri Top: T.I.

I know there has to be some T.I. fans on this forum. Anyways I believe he is one of the few great rappers in today's watered down version of hip-hop as every single album he has released has been a hit & he has had numerous number one singles.

What You Know- No matter how many times I listen to this song, it never gets old. It is also the theme song to one of my favorite movies in ATL. I also think that the video to this song is very good as well.

U Don't Know Me- This song pumps me up & I always listen to it when I hit the gym. The lyrics are catchy, I also like the beat to this song cause everytime I put this song on the radio in my car, it just sounds great.

Dead & Gone- This is one of T.I.'s softer songs. I thought both T.I. & Justin Timberlake performed great in this song as this is the only song I can really tolerate Justin Timberlake. The reason why I like this song is cause I can relate to this song as I have left the old part of myself behind & I now have a better perspective on life.

I don't think he's great, but he's definitely above average by today's standards.

1. What You Know - Great song, this was the first time I ever really heard of him, it was a mainstream hit yet didn't have to completely sell out like so many others do.

2. Swagga Like Us - I think this was technically his song, his verse is crazy on this and he definitely crushes Jay-Z, Kanye & Wayne on this song.

3. On Top Of The World - I think it was off his last album, both him & Ludacris deliver, the hook is catchy, just a good song.

I agree that with today's hip-pop (ah ha) fans are hard pressed to find any GOOD m.c.'s and T.I. is one of them. Many will argue that hip hop has many great underground artist but when it comes to mainstream, you're hard pressed to find anything good. Then again, I'm a Wu fanatic so I have weird standards.
