Shadowmancer

I am The Last Baron
Same thing as the the Japanese Wrestlers List your top five Lucha Libre wrestlers. It is for a finding out if it is worth having a International Wrestling Section.

In No particular order

Super Crazy- This guy is great in ring and can get the crowd behind him, in what I call "learning to count in Spanish with Super Crazy" His matches in ECW are great. He is a great high flyer.

Rey Mysterio- Look at his time in the cruiserweight division in WCW he wrestled a freer style than he does now, he was faster, also a great Highflyer.

Juventud Guerrera- Look at his work in the ring you see a good Wrestler, he has wrestled in a number of promotions, can cut promos is a great High flyer

Eddie Guerrero- An Icon of pro wrestling, an i dont need to say much more about Eddie now.

Mistico-Great Wrestler and highflyer, he deserves to be looked at on YouTube can't say much more

I don't know much about Lucha wrestlers, that is one reason why having an International subsection or Section would work, to inform the members on here about the Wrestling in other parts of the world.

Great idea shadowmancer. Well for me i'm big fan of the luchadors

In NO particular order

Eddie Guerrero- Simply put one of the best luchas and you can not exclude the Guerreo family as Gory Guerrero did some things that leave you speachless.

Rey Mysterio- He simply but luchas on the map in WCW but not only that he is a true wonder in teh ring even though he has slowed down some due to age

Super Crazy- is a stud in the ring and i only wish WWE would use him properly such a shame

Juventud Guerrera- does not get the credit he deserves and shame he has bounced around from promotion to promotion

Mistico- A younger Rey and be treat to see him in the states but like shadowmancer said look him up on YouTube you be a fan at the very second you see his stuff.

Lucha Libre has always been one of if not my favorite style of wresting. IMO, the top five of all time. Also, Eddie isn't really a luchador mate, I wouldn't say so atleast. If he's a luchador then you'd have to count in guys like Malenko, Y2J, etc etc.

Psicosis - Amazing athlete who if the WWE knew anything would immediately sign to a deal in the CW division. His matches with Mysterio were all five star classics. Just amazing style, grace, and precision.

Super Crazy - The stuff this guy does is amazing. If all you've seen is his WWE stuff, you've never even seen him wrestle. Go look up his ECW stuff, or hell even go watch his match at ECW ONS 2005, amazing athlete who does the absolute most perfect asai moonsault in the business and lands perfectly on his feet every time.

Rey Mysterio - Revolutionized the lucha style here in the states when he came into the WCW, amazing athlete who I really don't even need to say too much about. Only lucha star to ever win the world title.

Mistico - Another guy I can't believe that WWE has let slip through their fingers, amazing athlete, look up his stuff on YouTube. Sit through the spanish commentary, trust me, you're about to amazed.

El Generico - Very little known guy, only place you'd recognize him from would be CZW or ROH, but this guy amazes me every time I see him wrestle. His brainbuster move onto the top turnbuckle is one of the most painful looking moves I've ever seen. Not exactly sure if he's a real lucha wrestler though, I'm pretty sure he's not really from Mexico.

Luchador is a very board term mate. I mean luchador could mean cruiserweight or high flyer, and if thats what it means, I need to change my list substantially to include guys like Jushin Liger, Yoshihiro Tajiri, etc etc.

Here are some matches to show you out there what these guys can do:

ECW-Mexican Death Match: Psicosis vs. Rey Mysterio - ECW Hardcore TV 1996
CMLL: Mistico vs. Black W. Mascara vs. Mascara - 73rd Anniversary Show
XPW: Psicosis vs. Super Crazy
CZW: Super Dragon vs. El Generico - Best of the Best 5 Part 1
CZW: Super Dragon vs. El Generico - Best of the Best 5 Part 2

For the record El Generico is a canadain wrestler playing an mexican one but like you said little is known about him really but he is an awesome wrestling talent.

Here's my list in no real order....

1. Eddie Guerrero: Byfar my favorite Mexican wrestler of all-time, he had it all mic skills, incredible in-ring talent, and also important a strong charisma that drews you to him, not only one of the best Mexican wrestlers ever but one of the best ever period.

2. Dr. Wagner Jr: Love this guys hard hitting submission focused style, everything he does looks so painful and like many other mexican talents he is very well rounded mean power, speed, and agile, I don't know how many of you have seen his work but trust me he's worth checking out.

3. Ultimo Guerrero: Like I said above don't know how many of you have ever check him out but this guy is awesome he has a very interesting and innovative moveset and all the matches I have seen have been very entertaining when he's in the mix, more of a high flyer at heart I think most fans in the US would immediately fall for this guy.

4. Super Crazy: WWE really needs to let Crazy be himself, vastly underrated this guy has the flat out talent to steal the show night in and night out, although he's showed glimmers of greatness in the WWE nothing tops his work in ECW, Overseas, and down in Mexico, truly one of the best Luchadors to ever "make it" state side it's a shame most won't ever get to see Crazy really cut loose.

5.`Psicosis: Yet another guy I consider to be a very underrated talent in the states, most people really don't know just how good this guy is and once again i'll say it's a shame we'll probably never see him state side again as he burns bridges in every company he goes to.

i think that El Generico is Canadian, but i am not positive on that...but he doess have a red beard

i could name all of the same names as you guys, as they are the more mainstream Luchadores, but i will name a few that i have seen in the past...cant add much, because i havent watched any Lucha since like maybe 1999 or so, i dont get the channel anymore...but, i have seen
Heavy Metal and Tarzan Boy...seen them in a trios match, against who i cant remember, but it was as good as anything i had seen from ECW at the time...i remember seeing Mil Mascares as a kid on some VHS tape...my Mexican friends here loved that guy...he is legendary...i also really liked Mr Aguila/Esse Rios...he had a decent run in WWF with the light heavywgt title, and introduced the masses to Lita...La Parka....the chairman...he was awesome in WCW....

The following is not in any particular order:

Ultimo Dragon- I've seen some of his matches in WCW in particular his matches with Rey Mysterio. I loved them. They'd just do new things in every match they had tohgeather. There in ring chemistry was just amazing. Thats the good thing about Lucha Libre because you never know what there going to do.

Rey Mysterio- He has had phenominal matches with many wrestlers. His feud with Eddie Guerrero brought about some of his greatest matches. I just hated that he kept winning some how. I thought it hurt Eddie's credibility as a wrestler.

La Par-K- I loved this guy. Not the one from AAA rather the one from WCW. I liked his abdominal stretch like move. He weould put you in the air with his legs and it would feel like he was ripping them apart.

Super Crazy- In ECW he was just great. He was probally mostly remembered for his matches against Tajiri vs. Little guido vs. him. I loved his moonsaults as well. The one from one night stand when he was in the crowd made me mark out so bad.

Psicosis- This guy also impressed me and deserved a WWE Cruiserweight title run but never got it because imo of the incident when he hi jacked the car. Him and Super Crazy had awesome tag team matches togeather. They both work good togeather.

Juventud Guerra- The only thing that holds him back in promotions has to be his backstage attitude. He has the look of a champion. All he really needed was a manager to talk for him and he could of excelled in WWE as a mid card champion. He could of made Mexicool have every title and capture the US title and do a story line that is anti USA.

Octagon and El Hijo Del Santo are definately upthere. They were never really mainstream but are legends in mexico, especially El Hijo, being the son of El Santo.

These two had a great match with Eddie Guerrero and Art Barr at the When Worlds Collide PPV way back. I have it on tape and watch it from time to time just cuz its such a good match. Good ppv overall with guys like Rey Mysterio, La Parka, Fuerza Guerrera (father of Juventud), La Parka, Heavy Metal, Konan, and many others.
