Top Albums of the Decade: Your Picks [ALL GENRES!]

Barbedwire Ropes

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
Suffice to say, this past decade has been quite an impressive one for music. There have been many ground-breaking, earth-shaking releases that will surely go down in history as being some of the best of all time. The point of this thread is to discuss what your favourites were of the past decade. What were the albums that changed your life?

The Rules: You can list as many albums as you want, from 5 up to 50. Anything beyond that might make things murky but I decided to go with a full 50 list. You do not have to state why for every single album you list but YOU MUST GIVE A REASON FOR YOUR NUMBER ONE CHOICE! (And none of that "Becuase its radsauce" B/S either! Give a good, in depth reason why that album means so much to you.)

Also, choose one album for "Worst of the Decade". This must be an album that is significant to you or music history in some way as well. Just dont pick an album because its from an artist you automatically do not like. Example: One could say Metallica's St.Anger and disucss things like the terrible production and sound quality....ECT

So, what are you top albums for the decade that was?

This album is absolutely stunning! Everything about this disc screams "revolutionary". An album that combines the dark agression of Black Metal with that beautiful melodies of folk. Throw in some occasional clean singing, piano, ebow and mandolin and you really have one special metal album for the ages. This band is still, for the most part, unknown but they are also one of most creative groups going on today. If you have yet to experience this masterpiece and you enjoy music thats different, this is highly recommended! This album changed my life and I have never been able to look back since.

WORST ALBUM OF THE DECADE: Muse - The Resistance
This album was just a complete, major let down on every single aspect. Bland songwriting and beyond mediocre flow really made this a massive disappointment to Muse casuals and die-hards everwhere. To thier credit, thier vocalist had admitted thats its a peice of crap and they are going to try harder on the next record, so I wont totally write them off just yet.
