TNAAA?

Quote the Raven, nevermore.
Ok so maybe I'm not 100% in the loop about this but I think there's been rumours going around that TNA and AAA are in some kind of business relationship together. For starters, Jeff Jarrett won the AAA World Title and now more recently, Abyss became one half the AAA Tag Team Champions. So in saying that...

1. Is it possible that we may see a AAA invasion angle on iMPACT?
2. Will this benefit either promotion?
3. Is TNA trying to compete with WWE again?

I think the it is highly unlikely there will be any sort of AAA invasion in TNA/Impact. The ongoing relationship with AAA has really been in place to help TNA/Impact make inroads into the Mexican wrestling market, and to help AAA promote big matches within Mexico.

To the best of my knowledge, AAA has never had, or seemingly desired much a presence within the states.

I think it actually benefits AAA a whole lot more than it does TNA/Impact in the long run. Jeff Jarrett as the AAA World Champion helps provide AAA with a big name for their promotion, and helps them create some dream matches for their promotion and fan base, but it does nothing for Jarrett within TNA. His storyline with Mexican America fell flat from the moment they ran with it, and TNA fans could seemingly care less if Jarrett is the AAA champ or not.

Lastly, i don't think they are trying to compete with WWE in terms of their relationship with AAA. With the recent demotion of Vince Russo, and the elevation of Roode, they may be trying to clean up their own house more than anything.

If that was the case why is Jeff Jarrett the "Mexican Champion" (or whatever it is that its being called) on TNA tv, and not the AAA World Champion? Either AAA wont allow them to show the belt or use the name "AAA" or TNA doesn't want to... either way it shows that their "working agreement" isn't all that close, and that they have no desire to make in a full blown partnership.

Nope. In case none are aware, AAA has no interest in directly cross-promoting with TNA right now. This has been the case since 2008 and even though the ties between the companies seems stronger today, AAA is pretty strict about that.

1. Is it possible that we may see a AAA invasion angle on iMPACT?

Probably not. The two companies are not going to work together and if they were it would have happened a long time ago. TNA would be better off pushing their own talent instead of trying to run a fake Invasion. WWE's Invasion sucked but they had a legit merge between WWF and WCW. TNA and AAA have zero plans of merging.

2. Will this benefit either promotion?

No it wouldn't because they each have a separate roster they need to get over. The only way it would benefit either one of them would be if they merged. I don't see that happening anytime soon.

3. Is TNA trying to compete with WWE again?

What does that have to do with anything? TNA are always competing with WWE if you want to get technical. If this happened it would be completely unrelated to WWE other than the fact that the Invasion would become yet another idea of WWE's ripped off by TNA. Other than that there is nothing about this that could be considered TNA competing with WWE.
