TNA to "Take Over" AAA?

Championship Contender
Dorian Roldan was at TNA tapings this week and he had successful meetings with Jeff Jarrett and they are planning some big things for TNA & AAA with TNA "taking over permanently".

Jeff Jarrett posted the following on his official twitter page regarding AAA:

Quote
Continuing meetings today w @dorianroldan about the AAA takeover…last night we came to terms on a huge deal…

@dorianroldan is headed to the airport...mission accomplished! AAA's days are numbered...

So, It seems like we maybe seeing not only a talent exchange but TNA using AAA as their own B show brand where talent can be sent down.

The last AAA wrestler to appear in TNA was Jack Evans.

This certainly can't be anything but good news for TNA.

Considering AAA has plenty of established talent and the success they have had doing similar things in the past I think it will definitely benefit TNA, probably more so than AAA.

It will also be nice to maybe see guys like Judas Mesias back in TNA for a bit as well as someone like Super Crazy who is definitely well known to the American audiences with his run in WWE and ECW.

Personally I'm looking forward to possibly seeing Jack Evans back in a TNA as I've often enjoyed his work.

All in all good for TNA.

I don't want to be picky but do we know if this means AAA will be united with TNA (a TNA Takeover) or just a Jeff Jarrett side project like his new indian wrestling promotion.

I would love to see some of the AAA roster team up with TNA and create a second show but perhaps it is just a completely new project/company that Jarrett and not TNA are involved in.

Wasn't this talked about on TNA earlier this year. Jarrett along with heels and faces in continuing rivalries were going to band together to take on AAA.

Either way good for TNA. When you see CMLL talent go to and get tryouts with WWE you have to step your game up one way or another. I think TNA maybe serious this time about getting their shit together.

This I believe is great for the business of Pro Wrestling

How much good did WCW's "occupation" of AAA even do? Oh and AAA hasn't even had a pay per view since. The partnership will sattle TNA with 26 Sin Caras, not one will have name recognition state side, and not one will be the new Mysterio.. Senior or Junior..

I for one find it interesting. And one thing is for sure, you will never know when you'll run across the proverbial diamond in the rough. Anyone could get huge on any given day if they have the skill set. All you have to do as a talent scout is get lucky. The luchadore movement is already here in the US as it was brought over during the ECW days and is seen slightly by the X-Divisions of all companies today. LLUSA is based on Lucha Libre and AAA putting itself under the TNA/IW branding would just increase exposure, so I like it.

I haven't watched AAA in a long time, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I thought the seeds were planted about a year and a half already with Hernandez working there and Mr. Anderson being in the main event for Rey de Reyes. Not a full-scale invasion, but TNA wrestlers working over in AAA. I didn't keep up with AAA weekly, so I don't know if any other TNA wrestlers popped up between late March 2010 till now. I recall a little more than half a dozen Impact wrestlers working Triplemania a few months back. Don't know about Verano de Escandalo and Heroes Immortales, I've yet to watch 'em. Damn, I need to watch the last few months of AAA tapings to better understand this invasion angle.

1. AAA had a PPV less than two weeks ago, moron.
2. What does Sin Cara have to do with this? He left CMLL. Two completely different lucha promotions.
3. Troll harder.

TNA has needed this imo...I for one have wanted extreme tiger in tna for a while (im almost sure he works for AAA not CMLL) If he is w AAA then man I hope TNA uses him

This really won't help TNA as much as people think. Mainstream america likes characters and talkers and detailed selling. something you don't usually get with luchadores unless they're an elite talent. the smarks that TNA, for some unknown definately not financially driven reason, like to cater to will love it though.

This definately is good for AAA though considering AAA is more like TNA and CMLL is more conservative. Thus, their "business models" match up.

Well, TNA employees currently hold 3 of AAA's championships: Jeff Jarrett is the AAA World Champion, Jack Evans is the cruiserweight champion, & Abyss is 1/2 of the tag team champions. So, one could argue that the "takover" has already begun, or has already succeeded. But it could help, as TNA may be able to discover new talent or give young talent a place to hone their skills. Or there could be interesting rivalries that develop. Maybe TNA will even bring back the X Cup tournament. In any event, there are more positives than negatives in my opinion.

First: Where in the hell have you been these forums are boring without you.

It is a win for AAA because the fast pace aggressive style AAA can do is the alternative to CMLL and more American exposure will benefit AAA if done right. TNA I think made a smart move catering to their marks who love spot monkeys.

So lets get ready for 250 spot filled matches and the inevitable short sighted "this is wrestling" chants.

This could end up leading to something great for TNA. They need a developmental tier and perhaps even a "B show" brand due to their roster being huge at the moment. If the two organizations merge then I can see AAA becoming TNA's answer to WWE's Smackdown, NXT, Superstars, or becoming a developmental area. I'm interested in seeing where this goes.
