TNA Hardcore Justice over Summerslam & wrestling philosophies

Getting Noticed By Management
As Triple H laid in the ring, with one arm hanging limp, I couldn't help but feel that maybe I shouldn't have ordered SummerSlam last night. I couldn't help but feel somewhat let down by the card. Ziggler and Jericho did on an entertaining PPV worthy match. Daniel Bryan was on fire and had the crowd in a frenzy against Kane, but that really felt like a Raw match to me. The one thing that intrigued me about the main event was to see Lesnar in his post UFC style since I missed his last PPV appearence. The match was good but not epic as you would think it should have been.

Just a week before I was totally blown away by TNA's Hardcore Justice. It had 3 Bound For Glory Matches with special stipulations which was great because every match meant something. The show was capped off by two young men at the top of their games, in Bobby Roode and Austin Aries. And although that show ended with a controversial finish I felt rewarded by watching the show, that I had got my full money's worth and I wasn't going to delete this card off my DVR for some. I did comptemplate deleting Summerslam off my DVR as soon as it was finished.

So what's going on here? Why did I walk away from Summerslam frustrated and deflated and why did Hardcore Justice leave me hopeful and reinvorgated about a business and art form that I love? For me personally WWE and TNA in 2012 have two very different philosophies. When I was TNA their menality is
we're growing, we gotta gain steam, everyone shine, everyone do their best and we'll all benefit from it. And that's what I like to see. I like to see pro wrestlers that capture my imagination and are encouraged and pushed to be themselves and reach their potential. It's a fascinating and awesome thing to witness as a fan. The growth of the next great superstar. As for WWE's philosophy it has changed man. WWE is obviously not where they were back in 1997. They don't have WCW breathing down their back, they're not trying to be cutting edge, or take the art form to another level. And I they're more concerned with their public image then they ever have been which isn't a neccessarily a bad thing but I think they could get away with more than they think they do. WWE in 2012 is a global juggernaut and the problem they can not try their best and get away with it. I feel like where CM Punk was last year in his rant and I echo the sentiments of Abraham Washington when he was recently released. The WWE doesn't have to go full steam in 2012. It can ignore chants and signs for a guy like Zack Ryder and push whomever they see fit. They can waste potential or fumble with pro wrestler's careers because they're comfortable, they're very comfortable and they can get away with it. It's like a musical artist that's so hungry to get a deal and their first albums are fantastic and then when they make they're just putting stuff over there but it's not the same it's not life and death as it was. As a wrestling fan that wants the best possible product that an organization can give out it's annoying and disheartening. Maybe I should wait to see how things pan out as a result of last night's Summerslam and I will admit that the WWE is doing great and better things with tag division, NXT and young stars like Damien Sandow but after watching TNA's and WWE's PPV offerings these were the thoughts that came to mind.

Listen I had given up on TNA, I was so sick of all the back and forth with the storylines....then I heard wrestling observer talk up Sacrifice and I ordered that PPV for god knows what reason and to me that was the PPV of the year....just a fantastic PPV with great matches....since then I have just been sick of both WWE and TNA...the ICW heroes rule both promotions. CM Punk has no business as a main eventer, Austin Aries should've stayed in the X - Division, Daniel Bryan should've stayed in ROH. Although I did like that promo with the psychiatrist showing him a picture of a goat.

That^

CM punk has no business main Eventing PPV's. None. Summerslam was a letdown yes but I'm interested in seeing what Lesnar and Triple H do next. But yes it did seem like a Raw event. Smackdown is a joke and wont live up to its counterpart
