TNA/Claire Lynch Coming To An End? Hopefully

As noted earlier, TNA Wrestling is expected to conclude AJ Styles’ storyline with Claire Lynch next week on iMPACT! Wrestling with a paternity test segment. Lynch, who is portrayed by actress Julia Reilly, is believed to have parted ways with the promotion.

Something went down with her identity being leaked that really pissed someone off. We’re not sure if it was her or TNA and have no other details as of this writing. More as we get it.

Soooooo..... If it weren't for the fact that someone made public light about the fact she was a free agent actress, this story would still on past this week? If this is the issue, all I have to say is that the blame falls on TNA and whatsherface. SHE HAS A FREAKIN' WEBPAGE WITH HER ENTIRE RESUME ON IT. She's done adds for freakin' Subway and Petsmart and you know.... Well known places. Did TNA really think wrestling fans, easily bigger snoops than paparazzi, wouldn't find out? We are legion after all. Someone was going to find out and quite frankly I'm surprised it took months for that to come into light.

I can only hope they end up making light of this and this goes like that time Triple H found out Stephanie wasn't pregnant when he found the doctor in a cruise commercial.

TNA does know they're a wrestling company right? I mean, they do know that they're not telling real stories? Just checking.

Anyway, if this is what it takes to end this storyline, it's fine by me. At the end of the day, this version of Daniels vs. Styles (version #84 I believe) has been going on for a year now and the Clair portion has been going on since June. The problem is the story hasn't gotten any better than when it started. At first, AJ was accused of doing something he didn't do and it was revealed that Daniels was lying. Now, assuming things go the way they look like they're going, AJ is going to be accused of doing something he didn't do and it will be revealed that Daniels and Lynch were lying. We've been given no reason to care about Lynch and we know nothing about her other than she was a drug addict. If this is what ends it, so be it.

Also, the same as Killjoy said: who cares if her past acting jobs are known? Did they just happen to find her and have no idea what her past jobs were/not ask her what her experience was? Do they think wrestling fans are going to care that she's an actress? If that's such a big issue and it just HAS TO be addressed, here's how easy it is:

Claire: "AJ, you have ruined my life so much that I've had to stop appearing as a model and actress in commercials to deal with it."

It sounds stupid, but if this is such a big deal that she's losing her job over it, say something like that if they want the angle to continue. I don't see the big deal here at all.

this my be the best news i have heard in a long time. this whole storyline has bored me since the moment it started and just kepted getting worse. don't get me wrong i could watch aj and danials wrestle all day long. its just these two guys are two of the best wrestlers around today and instead of having them involved more in the BFG series and in the aces and eights storyline. They are stock playing is he the daddy. but i am not going to have to much or a go at tna thought. because at the end of the day tna have given us some fantastic storylines as of late so you can forgive them for getting the odd storyline horribly wrong know and again.

this was one of the worst storylines that TNA has had. I was hoping for so much more when this story started but this is one of the the top 5 worst stoylines that TNA has had. this storyline makes the whole Joseph Parks crap worthy of a grammy

Hopefully that puts an end to this pointless crapola. AJ Styles versus Christopher Daniels doesn't need to be saddled with a crappy soap opera plot. They're already over and have a long established history. Even then these kind of storylines don't benefit anybody other than the actress who is going to be gone once it ends.

She is the one quitting.

...Making TNA's choice of actress look even worse with the benefit of hindsight is that Lynch has apparently left the company with little notice, according to Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer on Sunday's subscriber only Wrestling Observer Radio show. Consequently, her storyline with Styles, Daniels and Kazarian will be wrapped up this coming week, before it was supposed to end.

A bizarre rumour is going round backstage that the woman playing Lynch didn't like her real name, Julia Reilly, being leaked by a low rent wrestling message board, perhaps feeling that being on a rasslin' show was beneath her image, and had taken down her YouTube page and personal website in response to this. However, the straw that broke the camel's back and caused her to quit though, was supposedly the public revelation that she moonlights as Olive Oyl at the Popeye Ride at Universal Studios...

Whoever is the one that's ending this, thank you. You're only six weeks or so late, but thank you anyways.

TNA does better when they go for professional wrestling. The wrestling as theater bit just doesn't fit in with other 'serious' goings on in TNA, like Roode/Aries, the BFG series, or Gut Check. It was trashy, sleazy television. Apparently the people associated with it must be pretty ashamed of it if they're trying to hide the rest of their career from it, rather than use their television appearance to promote themselves. (That's what actresses who make a few pornos do when they're trying to look legitimate.)

So we can clear this whole mess up, and move on to something that TNA does better. Just don't put AJ and Daniels in an electrified cage.

All I have to say to this news is "GOOD!"

AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels (and Kazarian) are some of the best wrestlers in the world, with a lot of history together, both as partners and as rivals. There is no need to give them a ridiculous story like this, which doesn't really benefit either of them.

Styles has been given so much shit to work with in TNA over the years, which is a shame as he is still a phenomenal talent, and although Daniels has done quite well in his role, its not what I want to see the Fallen Angel doing.

Hopefully, the writers can come up with a satisfactory ending to all this, rather than just ignoring it and pretending it never happened, and all 3 guys can move onto something much better. I have always hated storylines like this in wrestling, and TNA have proven that feeling to be correct here, which is a shame as I am loving almost every other aspect of Impact these days.

I'm sorry to the TNA diehards but the whole storyline is just indicitive of the crap they try put out as entertainment on a weekly basis. but by far it's the worst storyline next to Joseph Parks neither should've ever started and were dragged out far too long. this "Claire" is the worst actor on the roster and putting her with AJ who struggles with acting as it is is even worse.

Get over it stick to what you did best and that was hardcore/extreme style wrestling, not entertainment cause you fail miserably.

Didn't actually mind the storyline too much except for Claire's horrible debut and acting. But yeah I suppose it's for the best they put this feud to bed. My only hope is Daniels and Kaz stay together as a team.

Why the hate on Park?

Worst angle in TNA since EY married ODB. This is almost as bad as Garrett Bischoff on the microphone. Please for the love of God make it go away.

Its about damn time this crap ended. I don't think any fan was buying into the storyline; it was doomed from the beginning. If TNA wants to continue the Daniels/AJ feud, then do it through matches, not some convaluted plot from a daytime talk show. Either Daniels or AJ stated a while back that they were behind the storyline or believed in it. Unfortunately the fans didn't. Claire/Julia should just stick to commercials.

This is basically the stance I have on the matter too. At this point, I just want it over. I don't really care how or why. Just end it. I admire their attempt at trying something really far out, but it just came across so bad, and when the "Jerry!" chants started, I realized it was completely beyond salvage.

AJ, Daniels and Kaz are simply too talented to be stuck in this rut, so the best possible thing to happen for all parties involved is to move on as quickly and painlessly as possible.

To me Daniels has single handedly been making this storyline bearable (and it still sucks) I mean I understand trying a something different and edgy somewhat. It was kind of working with the Dixie/AJ possible affair thing, but it took a nosedive when Claire got involved. It went to a somewhat interesting concept to a Jerry Springer segment stretched across several episodes.

Hopefully TNA learns from this and try and do a better job next time.

The only things I have found good about this whole storyline is 1. Daniels heel work has been amazing. 2. Maybe tna has learned from this crap storyline and will never do it again.

Another note: if it's true that she's quitting because she didn't want to be associated with wrestling and she's embarrassed by people knowing she works for a wrestling company, screw her. No seriously, get off my TV and never come back.

Yes, Julia Reilly, you work for a wrestling company. I'm sorry to tell you, but it's true. I know it must suck as an actress and a model to be put on live national television every week in a featured role, which is more than probably 99% of actresses will ever get and I'm sorry you were paid to do it.

I'm a wrestling fan and I've been one for well over 20 years. I'm also a college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky. What Ms. Reilly is saying is that people like me that watch her performances and potentially pay money out of our pockets to see the resolutions and advancements in her storylines are beneath her and she doesn't want her name associated with us, our kind, or the thing we're interested in watching. If this is true, then I feel no sympathy for her and I hope that someday her career fails to the point where she can't get any other job than as someone who used to be on a wrestling show and even then gets turned away. I haven't heard of such arrogance in a long time and it's disgusting to me as a wrestling fan. I guess wrestling just isn't as classy as a damsel in distress from a series who tells kids to eat their vegetables so they'll get big and strong.

In short, get over yourself Julia Reilly. You're not better than us and you likely never will be. I'm sorry that you think this is beneath you, because I assure you it isn't.

What if she is just quitting because people don't seem to like her? It sounds more to me like a combination of the angle obviously wasn't going that well and her getting disturbed by the depth of obsession some wrestling fans have. I don't find anything unreasonable about that. Who wants to try and do their job while a bunch of neanderthals undermine your every move and then go home to deep google you?

Neither do I, but you would think as an actress she would know what she was getting into when she took on a role like this. I've heard a bunch of stories about fans that go to the houses where outside shots of TV shows are filmed and ask if the character is home. That's been going on forever so she almost had to know something like this was coming. I can understand it but she should have known something like that was coming. Also, isn't the point of a job on TV to have more and more people see you?

I still think the storyline can be salvaged. We no longer need Claire. She has done what was needed to turn this into a downward spiral for AJ. We just need the "my wife kicked me out" revelation from AJ. Add that to "I didn't win bound for glory, I am no longer the longest reign as world champ, my best friend has turned into my worst enemy. Life sux." kinda situation. Daniels reaches out, and at some point, AJ joins the faction. You could have AJ as the guy in the team who is reluctant to do bad stuff, but still cheats to help daniels win the tv title. Then a big guy, perhaps crimson or rob terry starts jumping aj whenever daniels and kazarian are not around. Just beating him down whenever he is alone. Eventually, it is all revealed as being a plot by Daniels or to destroy AJ from top to bottom.

Daniels is the father of Claire's baby. She was in on the plot. The big guy beating AJ down every week, making him miss title shots and stuff, was hired by Daniels. They feud for the tv title. Great matches ensue, blahblahblah......AJ wins.

It could legitimize the tv title, and save this crapfest.

This is definitely good news. I have been enjoying TNA a lot lately, and this storyline really has no place being in the mix. I do hope Kaz and Daniels stay together, but other than that happy to see this story go away.

Fuck. This. Bitch.

Seriously, fuck her right in her horse face. This bitch is given the chance of a lifetime; she gets to act in front of people on cable tv. She was in a main angle on a television show that regularly draws a million people. Mind you, that's a million more people that have to see her shitty acting, but hey, that's exposure. She got to work with the awesome Chris Daniels, who has actually taken acting classes, unlike this untalented ****e. And, TNA stuck by this cuntsicle, in spite of internal and external critics saying she was the worst thing about TNA, and kept her in this feud, when they could have easily wrote her out after the first night.

And how does she repay them? Well, as soon as her real identity comes out, she turns around and leaves, because she didn't want to be identified with TNA. Seriously, this constant piece of suck was given everything she could want, and decided it wasn't good enough. TNA will be better off without her, AJ doesn't have to deal with this shit, and hopefully they can plug him into a better storyline. For now, a special farewell haiku for Clair Lynch.

Fuck you, nutgobbler
When you make Dixie look good.
You should quit- or die.
