TNA are a bunch of smarky hypocrites

Mighty NorCal

SHALL WE BEGIN?
Seriously. For how much Glenn defends TNA's stuff against the message board dummy heads, it sure as fuck seems like the company is geared toward them.

Allow me to show examples. Who are the faces of the company??? Christian, and the smark GAWD himself, Kurt Angle??? AJ Styles??? Team 3-D?? TNA's top guys for a WHILE now. Turning King Bookah back to "booker huffman" or whatever the shit they call him. The smarks were crying out for that one. TNA did it.

As if the "X-Division" doesnt absolutely SCREAM "smark division". All of their guys do sweet flips and spinning wheel kicks. They allow big guys to do planchas. They operate out of a small arena, that they want to claim as their "own" *coughECWarenacough*

And yet, the smarks shit all over their programming and storylines, to which their guys respond "well we dont book for that crowd"

I say bullshit. EVERYTHING else about the roster shows otherwise. maybe you guys just suck ass at booking and storylines. The most used phrase I hear about TNA on this site is "disappointing". Hm. That indicates that you HAVE the guys that the message board folks love, yet just use them terribly.

prove me wrong. Inconceiveable. :drummer:

Fuck it. I wouldn't want to disappoint.

I wouldn't say so. I won't waste my argument now though. This is a paragraph-by-paragraph breakdown after all.

Allow me to show examples. Who are the faces of the company??? Christian, and the smark GAWD himself, Kurt Angle???

I'd actually go as far to say Angle is fairly universally popular, and his smark favourite status has actually begun to slip after joining TNA. I suppose peeps are a subcategory of smarks though, so I'll give you Christian.

AJ Styles???

Again, universally popular. Even Sly likes him.

Team 3-D?? TNA's top guys for a WHILE now.

Renowned for being shit now, and people are beginning to realise they were shit in the past too.

Turning King Bookah back to "booker huffman"

Do you mean Booker T? TNA did go a little nuts in modifying his gimmick, I'll give you that. What sort of crazy name is Booker T? Nutters.

The smarks were crying out for that one. TNA did it.

True, but I'm pretty sure they'd be sued for using the "King Booker" gimmick, not to mention that plain ol' Booker T is what Booker is known for, the gimmick he's played for pretty much his entire career.

As if the "X-Division" doesnt absolutely SCREAM "smark division". All of their guys do sweet flips and spinning wheel kicks.

So do WWE's cruiserweights. Pretty much the only way cruiserweights get over. Who's that jumpin' out the sky?

They allow big guys to do planchas.

Hernandez is in the tag division. Joe's in the heavyweight division.

They operate out of a small arena, that they want to claim as their "own" *coughECWarenacough*

You're going a bit nuts with this one NorCal. Sure, it's like their arena, but that's hardly a concept used exclusively by ECW.

And yet, the smarks shit all over their programming and storylines, to which their guys respond "well we dont book for that crowd"

Indeed.

That indicates that you HAVE the guys that the message board folks love, yet just use them terribly.

'Dis be da truth. Right Jake?

Renowned for being shit now, and people are beginning to realise they were shit in the past too.

Yes, and TNA still does, and hasm prominently used them. IE catering to the smark crowd.

So do WWE's cruiserweights. Pretty much the only way cruiserweights get over.

Yes, and WWE's cruiser divison is EVERY BIT as prominent as the X division Sam??? :lmao:

Who's that jumpin' out the sky?

whole division > one guy

Hernandez is in the tag division. Joe's in the heavyweight division.

I coulda SWORN Joe was an X divison champ at one point.

Wait I totally forgot Joe in my initial listing of smark pushed favorites. And he is th emost egregious example of them ALL. Thanks for reminding me.

And it was a general statement anyhow.

Not hardly. True other promotions have used primarily one building to house them (the early WCW saturday night program for example)

But none have ever flown the flag SO very proudly as ECW....and well, TNA. You REALLY are going to be naive enough to tell me that TNA didnt pluck the whole "HEY LOOK WHATS GOIN DOWN IN THA MUTHAFUCKIN IMPACT ZOOOOOOOOONEEE" thing from ECW's rabid fanbase who took ownership of the ECW arena?? Its not a new exclusive conept, just one modeled after the most prominent case of it, being ECW. Its a fine ploy really. But its plucked from one Smark fed to another.

The smark crowd that hates them?

Nope, just putting across the point that that's what cruiserweights typically do, it's nothing highly out of the ordinary. Did WCW cater to smark audiences?

whole division > one guy

But that one guy got so much more exposure than the whole division. See also: Jeff Hardy.

I coulda SWORN Joe was an X divison champ at one point.

When the smarks liked TNA. Your point is that smarks don't like TNA now.

Wait I totally forgot Joe in my initial listing of smark pushed favorites. And he is th emost egregious example of them ALL. Thanks for reminding me.

A general statement that only really covers two guys. It's surprising you didn't bring up Joe - he's really the best example of your point by far, a champion for the smarks, hated by the smarks.

I really don't think TNA throws that point out there as much as you suggest. That shitty arena is nothing to be proud of.

The cruiser division did, yes. and wasnt featured nearly as prominently as the X divison is.

Tis not my point good sir. My point is that everything about TNA's roster, and TNA themselves, indicates they cater to a smark crowd, yet the TNA talking heads insist they dont, when defending their booking. It is my opinion that they just use that as an excuse for being so pathetic.

Well if I watched TNA I might know that. what I do know, is that in the 16 different 37 second segments I forced myself to watch over the last two years, the impact zone's awesomeness was indicated (mentioned) everytime.

And if that wasnt the point, why would they have the vast majority of events in that building??

I can't do this all night NorCal.

To be fair, it'd be very difficult to employ ex-WWE/WCW wrestlers and crew as well as promising indie talent without coming off like that. However, if TNA hopes to survive they've got to get the best out of the options available. In a perfect world, they'd pick up John Cena, but it's Kurt Angle that quit.

And if that wasnt the point, why would they have the vast majority of events in that building??

Because they can't afford anything better.

No, seriously.

No, seriously.
