Bryan has been in the main event scene for only two months or so. How is that being shoved down our throats? He's there because people want him there. The issue with Cena is that he was winning clean over everybody for years. Bryan has only JUST started to get successive wins. It hardly deserves the 'super' label.

This thread is full of idiocy though and whether the OP was trolling or not there seems to be a lot of people who share the sentiment. It's ok if you don't like Bryan, if he's not your cup of tea. This is fine. But there are a few saying that Bryan hasn't earned his place in the business, that he hasn't paid his dues and that he only has five moves. This is idiocy.

I guarantee that if Bryan was losing somebody would be posting a thread about how it's stupid for your number one contender to be losing every match when you should be protecting and building them up. For years people have complained that the WWE doesn't build anyone new because all people do is trade wins. Now that they're actually building somebody everybody is up in arms.

You know, I'm part of the IWC so I'm not going to get on my high horse like a lot of people do and pretend I'm separate from it IWC. But there are definitely sections of the IWC that are impossible to please. The type of people who would get a car for their sixteenth birthday and throw a hissy fit that they didn't get a Ferrari.

he didnt bury any of the wrestlers you mentioned .... He beat them after long hard fought matches....

Care to rethink that assessment?

Worst part of that burial were the piped in cheers that you always get on SmackDown. How can you say WWE isn't shoving him down our throats when there's video evidence like that? He just buried three title holders by himself! We need to voice our displeasure so WWE knows they CAN'T get away with that.

As for the gauntlet he beat mid card swagger.... Went to the limit with cesaro and couldnt put away ryback......
That last bit disgusts me. “Couldn't put away Ryback.” You're so focused on who WWE is telling you to focus on that you're missing THE REAL PROBLEM.

BRYAN HAD BEEN WRESTLING FOR HALF AN HOUR AGAINST TWO DIFFERENT GUYS!!! WHY COULDN'T RYBACK PUT HIM AWAY?! It just makes Ryback look like a bitch, all for the glorification of a guy like Daniel Bryan who doesn't have any it-factor. Face it. He's a creation of the system, just like Cena.

Wade is a career midcarder....
Only because WWE is constantly bending over for politicians like Bryan.

He beat sheamus via roll up....
Which made Sheamus look SUPER weak. Bryan couldn't at least use his finish to beat him? No. He caught him with a weak roll up, like he were Heath Slater or something! FUCK THIS GUY.

He beat cena after a 20 plus match with a running knee... Believe me if i hit you with a running knee to the face youre going down....
Are you threatening me?!

People are cheering for him .... He is over.... More over than anyone right now.....
More over than PUNK?! More over than RVD?! Hog wash! Rvd even said he gets the loudest pops in a recent interview. And he would know better tahn anyone, wouldn't he?

Heck, Big Show gets huge reactions from just his facial expressions. If he got Bryan's protective booking, he'd probably be as over as Hogan in his prime! But NOOOOOOOOOOOO. Everything's got to be about Super Bryan. All the time. ***barfs***

Fuck, Cody Rhodes got fired last night just so he couldn't take Bryan's top face spot. When shit like that is happening to make Daniel Bryan look like a GOD, it's clear he's not what's best for business.

I'm sort of tired of DB's "Chip on his shoulder" promos. Big Show comes to DB and tries to have a heart to heart and DB acts like a prick. Earlier DB cuts a whiny promo against Triple H. It always pisses me off when NFL or NBA guys use that line "Nobody thought we could do it" despite the fact that they were heavily favored for the game.
Exactly. It's the Cena underdog schtick all over again, turned up to eleven. He can tell us he's the underdog all he wants. His booking suggests otherwise. And you can tell fans are starting to lose patience with him and catch on. His match last night had one of the quietest crowd reactions he's had in a while. I'd be shocked if he's not getting booed in a month or so. Next time they're in a real smark city, he'll probably get booed out of the building.

Super Bryan? He has gotten his ass handed to him 4 shows in a row, and looks like it will be 5 tonight.
Sure, but look at those circumstances. It's Cena all over again. Nobody can beat him one on one. It's always got to be a gang beatdown. He's SUPER protected.

Creative didn't tell us to like him. They tried to bury him at WrestleMania 28 in a match too short to even be called a match.
First of all, it can be called a match if the bell rings. Length is irrelevant. That was a match.

Second of all, that wasn't a burial. Bryan got pushed harder than ever after that, going on to challenge for the WWE Championship at THREE consecutive PPVs. Come on. One loss isn't enough? No. This guy has to hog the spotlight FOR FUCKING EVER. He's like Batista with his unlimited title shots.

But most importantly, that WM loss is WWE's way of pushing him. They understand that adversity builds stars, and perceived injustices get the fans to care. That eighteen second loss is one of the biggest pushes ANYONE has EVER gotten in the WWE.

Again, I respectfully disagree here. Daniel Bryan's promos have been the highlight of recent shows. The screaming is just him showing his passion and intensity. Heck, other wrestlers do it too. It helps hype up a match if you show intensity.
Intensity is fine. But the fact is that Daniel Bryan just emotes poorly. He's extremely forced and corny. CM Punk could get intense. Austin could get intense. Bryan just seems like a petulant bitch child.

I guess what REALLY pisses me off the most about Daniel Bryan is that his rise to the top is a lot like Triple H's. He's clearly not the best guy for the job. But he got there because of who he's fucking. Bryan SUPER push this summer is clearly because he's a major player on Total Divas. Do I think Bryan would have gotten pushed to the moon if he wasn't the only semi-relevant non-Cena male on the Total Divas cast? No, not at all. I'm not saying he decided to fuck Brie Bella ONLY to get pushed. But he's certainly getting pushed this summer because he's fucking Brie Bella. It's Triple H/Michelle McCool all over again, mixed with the worst of Cena. And it's getting old.

But there are a few saying that Bryan hasn't earned his place in the business, that he hasn't paid his dues and that he only has five moves. This is idiocy.
Paying dues has nothing to do with anything. You're either good or you're not. And if you're not, all the dues paying in the world won't change that.

Reading this thread all I can do is ::lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Seriously, the OVERgeneralizing, OVERcriticizing, and OVERanalayzing is hilarious.

If the OP could have his way people would only get one WWE title shot EVER.

It's not often that I see such overanalyzing and breaking down of a good performer but just WOW....

Fuck, Cody Rhodes got fired last night just so he couldn't take Bryan's top face spot. When shit like that is happening to make Daniel Bryan look like a GOD, it's clear he's not what's best for business.

Rhodes got fired because he's taking time off. Even if he stuck around, there was no way he would be in the top spot. Nothing to do with Bryan.

Someone getting a title shot for three months is a problem? The WWE used to switch feuds every single month so that a feud never got time to properly develop. (He's actually only challenged once in a row, at Summerslam. Night of Champions will be his second. It's hardly 'for fucking ever', it's been a month. Maybe you have ADHD or are just part of the MTV generation that can't concentrate on longform feuds, like the way feuds used to pan out when they only had four PPVS.

But most importantly, that WM loss is WWE's way of pushing him. They understand that adversity builds stars, and perceived injustices get the fans to care. That eighteen second loss is one of the biggest pushes ANYONE has EVER gotten in the WWE.

I realized with this particular piece of idiocy that you're either trolling or a moron. That was when everybody was complaining that they were actively trying to quash Bryan's rise to popularity by having him lose. You mention Bryan politicking as being a reason for him going over recently but mention nothing about Sheamus getting a good push because of his friends backstage.

It's Triple H/Michelle McCool all over again, mixed with the worst of Cena. And it's getting old.

It's the wrong way round. The Bellas are where they are because of who they're sleeping with. Bryan was getting good crowd reactions long before Total Divas came about.

Paying dues has nothing to do with anything. You're either good or you're not. And if you're not, all the dues paying in the world won't change that.

It has plenty to do with it when you complain that he only got to the top because of politics. He didn't. He got to the top because he's fucking good at what he does. He isn't the best promo guy ever but he isn't terrible and he can tell a great story. He's one of the best guys in the ring that the WWE have had and he'd show that even more if he was able to cut lose and not work the WWE style.

Whether you think he's good or not is opinion. You saying that he's not doesn't make it so. Hell, me saying he is that good doesn't make it so. But all the guys in the business, guys who are outside the WWE and aren't part of the machine, guys in the WWE, guys in TNA, guys in ROH, people he worked for in NJPW legends, agents, bookers, people in Japan will universally sing his praises and tell you that he is good. While developing your own opinion is important it's more difficult to argue with people in the business who actually know what the fuck they're talking about than a random guy on a wrestling forum who evidently doesn't.

Burial?? For months the Shield were manhandling their opponents over and over again. Daniel Bryan being a victim in most of the situations. Hell he got PINNED(read that, twerp? PINNED) cleanly at TLC, Payback and Extreme Rules by the Shield, not to mention a few other matches on Raw and Smackdown. That said, in kayfabe logic, it's only a matter of time before karma works its magic and at some point he would be one of the guys to take down the Shield. Maybe the single-handedly part was stretched a bit, but for a guy who's got his ass handed to him by the shield, there should be a retribution of some form. Did you really want Daniel Bryan to retire saying something along the lines of "I couldn't beat the shield. I'm quitting?" 'Cause at this point , it really does look like it. :disappointed:

And the reason for his push is because he gets the loudest reaction from all demographics. Most kids don't chant as much for CM Punk or RVD(unlike what you choose to believe) because they get confused with Punk's stance and sure as hell don't know who RVD is. Brie Bella is in the spotlight because of him, not the other way around (plus she's a part of a hot twin thing).

As Super as Bryan gets he'll never become WWE Champion. A troll with that disgrace of a beard isn't worthy of any title scene whatsoever. Glorious Triple H mentioning a bring back of the cruiser-weight title just for Daniel--No! Your troll wouldn't draw shit, not even a rodeo clown show will be able to save Bryan from his inevitable failure and transcendence into expired garbage.

Bryan lacks composure. His in-ring ability bores to death and his yes lock holds no credibility whatsoever. On top of that when he's cutting a promo he tends to squirm alot. Why do that? Is he too damn nervous--what's wrong with this man?

The worst part of it all is that he actually has support. Tho perhaps that support comes from the fact that people can relate to expired garbage so well.

Regardless, it's as Triple H said. Bryan as champion is bad for business.

....The Rock and Austin didnt just come out and people loved them. It took time. And Bryan JUST STARTED. Thats all, give it some time.

I agree with OP, Bryan is just being groomed to be the next nest Hogan, Rock, or Cena. Sure, he's a midget, but currently he is beating people after hulking up like a certain guy working in that other brand of wrestling. He goes from being this Hurricane-esque persona to all of a sudden being able to fend off 3, sometimes even 4 guys, with the greatest of ease. If I were the WWE and HHH/McMahon I would take the focus off of a guy who is obviously keeping the younger talent down and put it on a guy with more talent like Titus O'Neil or TJ Wilson. Just saying.

Annnnnd here we go with the "Getting bored of the guy who is a breath of fresh air from Super Cena" thread. WWE is trying to get a new guy over and now there are people who are complaining? Then when Bryan is not in the picture anymore, the same people are complaining about how he needs to be pushed in to the main event picture.

Dude go get a girlfriend I am so tired of the complete ridiculous points of view some of you idiots have it makes me ashamed to be a wrestling fan. I get on here to read and see what others think of whats going on but for you to go anywhere with this "Super Bryan" bullshit is rediculous. The IWC is a joke and not just the OP but all of you need a goddamn life.

I think you missed all the clean pins the Shield got on Bryan when the tag titles were on the line which started the "I AM NOT THE WEAK LINK" bit that got Bryan on fire in the first place. Also do you not watch him get the freaking crap beat out of him at the end of every show?

....which started the "I AM NOT THE WEAK LINK" bit that got Bryan on fire in the first place.

There sure has been a big turnaround in the short amount of time since then, huh? Perhaps it's going on because the folks in the arena are having so much fun getting behind it, although I still say that many of the people who attend house shows shouldn't be confused with wrestling fans. The ones we see on our TV screens are often there to support whatever chants are resonating throughout the arena, without much thought to storylines.

If it's so, WWE is smart. After all, pro wrestling is (or should be) driven by what the paying customers want to see. If this program gets folks to buy more of those silly "beard" t-shirts, that's good enough reason to keep it going.

But, it's true: how and when did the "I'm not the weak link" spiel by Daniel turn "No! No! No!" into "Yes! Yes! Yes?"

The company should milk Daniel's push all they can. It's fun, but has a limited shelf life, just like every other plotline.
