I figured since we seem to on the brink of a new era and leadership, do you think a new theme song will debut this monday or at some point soon?

I hate Nickelback so I say yes. Problem is, I can't think of any modern artists I'd rather hear. They won't go to an older song because that makes them look dated.
It's a tough position, I do like the idea of changing it though. I'm just not updated (or like) most modern music to know what to use. I'd pick like Hurt or Wolfmother or Tool or something that wouldn't be good for the show (since it has to appeal to a broad audience).

To me, the current theme song is easily the worst Raw theme song that they've had. I just can't stand hearing it, it's awful. The best was the one they had from 2003-2006 I think it was, The Union Underground - Across the Nation. Loved the hell out of that song.
But yes, they really do need a new song. The times are changing, and some very major events are taking place. A change in song should be assumed.

When they decide to change the theme song, this will definitely signal the start of a new era. So yes, I really want them to change it. The Nickelback song at the moment isn't really too bad, but something new is needed.
On a side note, Smackdown! REALLY needs a new theme song. That Green Day song alone is enough to make me want to turn SD! off..

I've been saying to RAW fans for over the last two years, it's time for a new RAW theme. And the perfect song/track for RAW should be the late Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Shimmy-Shimmy Ya" from back during the golden era of Hip-Hop/Rap music!

Get rid of that AWFUL Green Day song on Smackdown too. I literally mute my TV when it comes on.

Theme songs get old and overplayed really, really fast. RAW plays its theme in the beginning intro, during every interlude, after every commercial break, when superstars are walking down hallways, so its easy to grow tired of it. Ｉdon't think they'll be changing the theme anytime soon, as the previous theme songs continued for years.
On a side note, I hope Triple H "taking over" means something for Smackdown too. Maybe its because its on a Friday night or because its taped, but never before have I been so bored by a TV program.

Yes, the theme needs changed.. i can't stand Nickelback.. they've never been good, and never will be good.. but the sad thing is, WWE will always choose some crappy mainstream song for their intro theme these days.. they just need to have Johnston create something for Raw and Smackdown, I also agree, that the Green Day song is horrible too
the only Raw theme i ever liked was the one back in '97.. Thorn In Your Eye was awesome.. and the Manson song Beautiful People, which was also used for Smackdown at one time

I think both shows would benefit from a new theme, Nickleback and Green Day are by far two of the worst recording artists on the face of the planet. Yes they sell tons of records, but they are not good whatsoever

I agree with you there; the smackdown theme song is fucking awful and has actually prevented me from watching the show for the past 3 weeks.
We need a tune that will get the veins pumping, preferably something by P.Diddy or J.Bieber.
I'm not going to say I think the theme should change just because I hate Nickelback (but I do hate them). But maybe it should. It's been the theme for what, two years? And if WWE are really going to push the idea of a new era, then yes, something as simple as a change in theme should happen.

I can't remember the last time a theme wasn't awful, so I never pay attention to them. It wouldn't make a lick of difference to me whether they change the music.
