I'm glad that she is getting opportunities to shine from getting a Wrestlemania moment with the Usos, to beating the divas champion on more than one occasion and I hope she finally wins her first divas championship(not sure if she ever won the title before) and get rid of the Bellas to introduce some Nxt talent such as Charlotte, Sasha Banks etc. Her match vs Natalya on Smackdown unexpectedly had me locked in from start to finish considering how poor the divas division has been and her finsher(don't know what to call that move) was just awesome. I hope we see a rematch at a ppv for the title.

Do you see her winning the championship this year?

She's always had the skills. I was one of those who watched NXT season 3 when it was an all-divas season. The highlight of the entire season was in the penultimate episode, when Naomi fought AJ. At the time it was one of the best divas matches id seem in WWE in years.

Obviously she hasn't had much chance to display her talents on the main roster, but with #GiveDivasAChance seeming to work, here's a hoping

She's probably the most athletic Diva on the roster, but she was a bit green to begin with. Now I think with the Usos, she's starting to put things together and realize her full potential. They were close to giving her a run before her eye got jacked up so I hope this is coming soon. it's been a long time coming. #anyonebutthebellatwins

Do you see her winning the championship this year?

I think there is definitely a good chance we see her win it this year, as it looks more possible than ever now. But either way I don't see her having a very long title reign when she does finally win it because I don't think WWE plans on making her a focal point of the division & especially since girls like Charlotte, Sasha Banks & Bayley should all be on there way up to the main roster within the next year or so.

What are your thoughts on Naomi?

I'm really not all that impressed still & just because she has some basic coordination, unlike Cameron, it really doesn't make her "the most athletic diva today" or whatever the line is they constantly use. I can't stand how the majority of her personality/move-set revolves are her big, fat, ass & even worse, her gimmick just went from being a Funkadactyl: which was just dancing around & essentially mooching off of Brodus' gimmick, to becoming an Uce-ette: which is just dancing around & essentially mooching off of The Uso's gimmick. So while she's been a part of a few decent matches & her mic skills aren't that bad, overall, I haven't seen anything to make me a fan.

Yeah. She could be the one to take the title off Nikki. It's just her gimmick is what holds her back. The whole Brodus Clay stable has been gone for a while. There's more to her than that but the writers hadn't been trying to promote that.

I don't understand why she hasn't captured the title already. Paige came in and won the belt on her first night in WWE. Initially, it was stated that Diva's on Total Diva's couldn't hold the belt because it would effect story-lines. If I'm not mistaken Noami's no longer on Total Diva's. Also, how does Nikki get the belt while appearing on the show?

She is good but she is just like an Uso right now. Good in ring, not super great. She has wayyys to go in the ring. She just isnt smooth enough as the girls at nXt. And most of the girls on the main roster are like that. But if she is given time to develop into someone, she will be awesome. But the rear view....she needs a new finisher that is a little more serious. At least for a title winning match.

Well first of all she has to separate herself from whatever tag matches her husband is involved in. That's basically the only time I see her right now. Don't really think that much of her to tell you the truth. Even though she's athletic, she has a horrible finisher and quite honestly she's just not that interesting in the ring. Her matches are quite forgettable.

I think Naomi's on the brink of becoming a "focal" point, for lack of a better term, in the Diva's division. She seems to be missing that one thing that separates her from the Bella's/Paige's/AJ's of the division though. I think Naomi, as others have stated, needs to break away on her own and start developing her character more as that's the only way she'll truly get over with the crowd.

I see her winning the title this year and holding it as a transitional champ for one of the heel NXT Diva's. I don't see a long title reign in her future, at least not anytime soon.

I see her winning the title this year maybe even de-throwing Nikki Bella at Extreme Rules. In regards to her not being polished enough with her in rings skills, she just needs consistency in confidence. She's a high flyer with a lot or acrobatic moves. She needs to constantly practice this and have the other divas she working with play off to these. I think she has a lot of potential both in the divas and tag division. If they keep her with the Usos long enough she can be this generations Lita to team extreme.

Why she hasn't won yet, I'm not sure. Nikki isn't really doing anything with it. It seems like they are trying to position her on top of the division for a while. They got her the music video and are probably trying to get her more exposure outside of WWE. Seems like she's on the way up, they probably have a good plan that just hasn't been put in to effect yet.

She has had zero character development since the Funkadactyl split but has consistently been one of the most over divas on the roster.

She's better than Nikki and that other one but she been kept in the same spot for years already with no forward or backward motion.

I've heard people refer to her in a positive light. But that was on this forum where people think Ziggler and Cody Rhodes are superworkers, so I take praise with a pinch of salt.

The thing is she may not be as smooth as some women in NXT but she is one of the best divas in WWE which isn't saying a lot, however, Naomi was rushed to the main roster. I feel she has the potential to be just as good as any woman signed to a contract within WWE. Her athleticism is her strongest talent and that shines when she does moves that the cookie cutter divas in WWE can't do. I hope she gets the title soon as in my opinion she is ready and if they don't do it this time, it will be less believable in the future if they do pull the trigger.

Athletic without much mic skills. Glad to see a new finisher that looks painful on Smackdown, instead of the ridiculous rear-end finish that hits people with her ass. Could be a good transition champion or simply a face to feed to Nikki.

I've cooled on her a bit lately. While yes, athletically I'm sure she can do some impressive stuff that not many of the other Divas can do, there's just something that hasn't quite clicked for me. I know the Divas don't get much mic time, but Paige, AJ and the Bellas have had easily enough time to portray their characters, make their (kayfabe) intentions clear and then just go with it, I barely know anything about Naomi and her character.

Sure, I know she used to be a Funkadactyl, I know she's a babyface, I know she's married to Jimmy Uso and I know she used to be a Total Diva. But she hasn't really established any sort of character on WWE television. Nothing that would make me want to cheer for her, or boo her. I just don't know enough much about her to want to care what she does, and I don't mean that to come off in a nasty way. I just mean when it pertains to her WWE character, there's nothing that particularly stands out apart from some nice athleticism in the ring.

I'd like them to establish a real character for her other than an Uso wife who has a booty that can knock Divas over. I don't remember her being a particularly good talker in the few times she has been given a mic, so maybe that's holding her back. I don't think she'll ever be that over with a crowd, unless she's against a particularly hated heel. I wouldn't be surprised to see her get a short run as champ though! Good luck to her either way.

I've never been a fan of Naomi. I doubt she will win the Divas Championship this year, or ever for that matter. She sucks. Granted she is better in the ring than Cameron, Eva Marie, or The Bellas.... but that doesn't make her Divas Championship material. She is terrible in promos and has BAR NONE the worst finisher that I have EVER seen a diva use. If she gets the next title shot then one of the most unlikely things ever would happen because I would support Nikki Bella retaining over Naomi and that's saying a lot due to my dislike of The Bellas not being much of a secret around here.

I will however suggest that you learn to have a level of insight that maybe something smarter than a gnat could relate to and recognize that Naomi is taking bumps that would split you in half sideways, so a little more respect would be nice.

Naomi is an excellent athlete who recently showed us that she wants to prove that she can act, time will tell if she can pull the crowd in with her new mean streak. Criticism regarding her lack of in ring bravado should be thrown at the WWE for telling the divas to limit their matches to only a certain amount of moves for a certain amount of time, thereby restricting their ability to impress the over-entitled jack-offs who piss away their time just to share cheap one liners of baseless shit talking.

I have never take notice of Naomi until last night on RAW. She is ruthless, and I do mean ruthless. She threw Paige head first into the padded barricade shielding the audiences. I was shock when I saw that, Paige could be seriously hurt...

I think what's been holding Naomi back is that she's essentially the happy, dancing babyface Diva. However, as of last night, it looks as though she's turned heel and that might be a great thing for her. She's got personality, just about all of the Divas have to variable degrees, but there's not been much of a chance to showcase that unless you watch the Total Divas reality show on E!. Inside the ring, she's entertaining to watch and she's come a long way with the timing issues that plagued her as part of The Funkadactyls.

I also hope she's decided to do away with the Rear View finisher, which is the same finisher Iceman King Parsons used in WCCW. It's just really one of those goofy finishers that's entirely for show without any real degree of impact to it. It's nowhere near as goofy as The Cobra, but it's still goofy and definitely should be abandoned if she's gone heel.

Last night was in all honesty the first time I had seen her face. Whenever she wrestles she has her chin tucked in so you can't see any emotion, whereas for example AJ always was head up, hair flipped back showing great facial expressions to tell a story.

If Naomi kicks on, develops a sound BELIEVABLE character, tightens up on here in ring work ie stick to moves you can do, not botching moves that you can't (hopefully a heel turn takes the high flying moves out of here arsenal) then I could start to be interested.

As it stands, I would have much rather seen Emma doing what Naomi did last night with Paige but ces la vies.

So much negativity. I'm feeling generous so let me share a little secret.... You do NOT have to read everyone else's posts. No one's forcing you to read the other posts on here. Respond to the topic and/or move on to the next one if you don't like reading the other members' posts. It's not rocket science.



Now, to bring this back to the actual topic of discussion....

Naomi's heel promo did nothing for me. She'll be lost in the shuffle again by the end of the summer. Paige is taking the Divas Championship back at Extreme Rules and we'll have a Divas Champion who, unlike The Bellas, can wrestle and is in the top tier in all categories unlike Naomi who brings nothing to the table but Brodus Clay's old entrance theme and an awful finisher. Naomi's not Divas Championship material. She never will be. This mean streak won't do anything more for her than Alicia Fox's short-lived crazy persona did for her. A temporary change before she goes back to doing nothing.
