This guy should just sit back and enjoy his time off

All Eyez On Me
Head RAW writer Brian Gewirtz recently cancelled his summer vacation. The feeling is that with the RAW ratings are disappointing levels he doesn’t want to miss any shows. Vince is said to be much more open to new ideas when ratings are in the dumps.

Anyone agree?

He's obviously piss poor, and is only getting worse with the ratings tank. Please Brian, take a break. You need it. So does the company. Also, McMoron needs to be back on TV. McMahon feuds = Ratings.

That is all.

yeah but taking a step back would do him good, get loads of ideas buzzing in his head again and give someone fresh a chance to add abit of flavour to RAW.

As a writer myself (though not for any wrestling organizations) I have to agree that his taking time off is going to help him greatly.

There's two unwritten rules about writing that everyone comes to learn:

1. Write Every Day. If you write just when you feel like it, you'll end up with a bunch of nonsensical ideas and no cohesion.

2. Take a Break. If the ideas aren't flowing, struggling isn't going to help. Creativity isn't something you can force, unlike the fact-organization of a research paper, which most people are used to in regards to writing. Taking a break (even if its to work on another writing project that isn't related) does wonders as it gives you time to sit back, look at your concept as a whole, and start nitpicking from afar.

That being said...Brian needs to take a little bit of time off, but not right now, as apparently Hayes is suspended and so forth as it is. The writer's staff is going to be overworked and stressed out due to the ratings and a smaller roster of writers. He should stall his vacation for 2 months or so, just enough time to sort out some major ideas, and then take a break. Summerslam is the next major "lynch-pin" ppv, so he should be raring to go for that.
