The Wrestling European Hall Of Fame

This is part 4 of my ethnic and global wrestling HOF. These threads are not being made to separate or to show that one ethnic group is better than the other, but for us to learn from other groups and also appreciate what they have contribute to the sport, and another purpose for the thread is for people to learn and have pride in their heritage. So with all that being said lets start part 4 the European HOF and to qualify the wrestler has to be European born not play 1 in a gimmick like (Piper or the Koloff's ). My list is as fallow :
1. Stanislaus Zbyszko - ( Poland ) Career 1903-1928, 2 time world champion, his 2 title reigns were really World wide no Promotion involve. In 1928 he perform in front of 60,000 in India and lost in 40 secs, so yes wrestling was also stage back then.
2. Antonio Rocca - ( Italy ) Career 1942-1976, Japan,AWA,NWA,WWWF,& WWC, 5 single title & 3 tag titles, he has been inducted to 3 different wrestling HOF.
3. Al Costello - ( Italy ) Career 1938-1987, NWA,WWA & WWC, 1 single title, 26 tag titles, he was one of the pioneers for tag team wrestling.
4. Bruno Sammartino - ( Italy ) Career 1959-1987, NWA,WWWf,WWA,WCW,All Japan, TNA (on a Kurt Angle DVD), 3 single titles 5 tag titles, 5 PWI match of the year, he is honor by 4 HOF but not wwe were he was champ twice, 1st (7yrs) 2nd (3.5yrs).
5. Andre The Giant - ( France ) Career 1963-1992, All Japan,AWA,NWA,WWC,&WWF, 1 single title & 5 tag titles, king of the batle royal, first inductee in the WWE HOF.
6. Edouard Carpentier - ( France ) Career 1956-1992, AWA,NWA,WWA,WWF,and Canada, 5 single titles & 1 tag title, one of the first high flyers in wrestling.
7. Nikolai Volkoff - ( Yugoslavia ) Career 1967-2010, AWA,NWA,&WWF, 1 single title & 7 tag titles, WWE HOF Inductee.
8. Ivan Putski -( Poland ) Career 1975-1997, NWA & WWF, 5 tag titles, wwe HOF Inductee.
9. The British Bulldogs - (England) Career 1983-1990, AJPW,NJPW,Stampede,& WWF, 3 tag titles, consider one of the best tag team in wrestling history but are also the poster boys for how steroids can destroy a career and life.
10. Darren Matthews - (England) Career 1983-Present, WCW & WWE, 13 single titles & 4 tag titles, he has 22 signature & finisher moves, he is consider by many England best single wrestler of all time.

Interesting list, I think William Regal should be higher on your list. It'll be interesting to see who is inducted into the UK Hall of Fame later this year.

Yes I agree with you but the idea is for people to add and see how long we can make the list. But I'm glad your a true wrestling fan that is open minded and understand the rich history of the sport world wide.
