The Usos

Pre-Show Stalwart
I gotta say, in a matter weeks the Uso Brothers have gone from guys that I've honestly forgotten were in the company to new personal favorites. Or at the very least guys to pay attention to. That match they had with Slater and Gabriel last week impressed me, and then that war dance they did tonight made go "Okay, now you have my attention". I'm really getting behind the possibility of them becoming the next Tag Champs. What about you guys?

100% agree. I was just mentioning them as my choice for MVP of Smackdown this week, just for the solid fact that they have gone from being a team that nobody really paid much attention to to being a team we should pay attention to. Their entrance was very interesting and gives them an actual personality, and since they have personality then they may just be getting groomed to be solid tag team contenders, if not champions themselves.

I look to see more with this duo.

I too am impressed. Gabriel and Slater are probably the best tagteam in the WWE at the monet and then followed by The Uso's. I think the Uso's need to win the Tag team titles and hold onto them for a while and feud with Gabriel and Slater and then with Big Show and Kane and then with Mahal and Khali. Their good in the ring, 2nd generatuon superstars and very talented and I get the feeling WWE are trying to amend their tagteam division and I think the Uso's and Gabriel and Slater will be pushed.

This is just another case of simple booking works:shrug:

When the E puts in all this unnecessary thought to things the results are disastrous, (nexus and anonymous GM, started off interesting, now look where we are)

The Usos went from nothing to awesome, because they have a new entrance :
:worship:

Did they just now learn how to wrestle, no, but we just started caring because the entrance so badass

Agreed, I'm sure they personally have something to do with it as well. Myself as well as probably many others felt that they were gone once WWE started doing their annual roster cuts. I just hope somebody takes notice to this series of matches they have been having and realizes that tag team wrestling is still entertaining and can garner a buzz.

I personally think that the Usos are the top tag team in the business at the moment. So much talent, speed and just awesomness. I would not be surprised if they win the titles at Money In The Bank.

I couldn't be happier that they're finally getting their break. Is this the start of a new tag division? No. That will be dead as long as Vince wants it dead.

Anyway, they've finally shown the world what they can do. They're talented wrestlers. To be fair, if you're part of the Anoa'i wrestling family, you kind of have to be somewhat good. They can talk (find their first promo on YouTube, it's really very good) and they have charisma. They have their shtick of being Samoan, but being a modern Samoan. Their face turn has helped them so much. It just shows what an alignment change can do for wrestlers.

They're getting more and more over every week and their new entrance is the best in WWE. I'm really happy for them and I'm looking forward to them being a mainstay on what is the best weekly wrestling show at the moment.

I have always seen potential in them as a tag team. Aside from briefly feuding with the Hart Dynasty, they haven't really had any chance to do anything to get themselves over. Unlike the old days when there were a large number of proper tag teams to feud with, moving from the only tag team with a collective gimmick to the rest of the thrown-together teams doesn't really put a lot of focus on the matches or the teams themselves. Slater and Gabriel were thrown together to restore relevance to Nexus and further the Cena storyline, and worked well enough to stick together for the same role in the Corre. They are established enough at this point that they can be used in a proper tag team feud. They could be the perfect stepping stone for the Usos before having them go for the tag titles and make people give a shit about it.

In recent weeks, the Usos are firing on all cylinders, pulling off some awesome tag team spots, as well as individual moves, showcasing their skills in the ring while they have been given new music and the ability to showcase their heritage, which makes them unique from the rest of the roster. Out of nowhere, it seems like WWE are determined to get them over and use them to the fullest extent. I think that that's great, not just for them, but for the audience, who have been getting really into their matches. Is it a sign that WWE suddenly is deciding to give a shit about the tag division? Probably not, as there really isn't anywhere for them to go after winning the titles and the rematch. I am definitely looking forward to at least that much, however.

As an aside, one great thing about the Usos in terms of the tag division is that the chances of them being split are relatively slim. They look too similar for people to make the distinction between them in a one-on-one match, which wouldn't make the angle successful. Unlike basically every tag team we have seen in the past two years, I see zero chance of that happening.

Unlike all the other tag teams in WWE, they're a proper tag team, not just two individuals thrown together for convenience (Santino/Kozlov, Gabriel/Slater, Otunga/McGillicutty). They work well together, look like a proper tag team, and have all the potential to be THE top tag team in WWE. I love their new entrance, and most of all, as other people have said, I actually care about them now. They just need the stage to really show off their skills.

I don't wanna get my hopes up or anything, but the rivalry between The Usos and Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel is the first real glimpse of life I've seen in the WWE tag team picture in quite a while.

The matches they've had, while they've been around the 5-6 minute mark, were both quite good and it's just a very pleasant surprise to see two young tag teams actually generating waves and some level of interest in the tag team scene.

I like The Usos coming out and doing the Polynesian war dance thing. I hope they make it a regular thing as it makes their entrance stand out and it's just plain cool. I've seen it done on television by people from the islands and I've seen a few friends of mine of Tongan heritage perform it at get-togethers of family and friends. They've always had talent and the WWE has really kinda put them through the paces for a long while.

I'm liking The Usos and I'm soooooooooooo glad they're getting the time to show case what they can do in the ring. I was a fan of theirs and they dropped of the face of the WWE and I forgot about them. Now that they're back I'm hoping that they will feud with Slater & Gabriel and this will kick off the start of a new Tag Division.

I like that polynesian dance they did, they're ok in the ring I honestly dont know much about cuz i just started payin attention to smackdown again but i can see them going places and the wwe is using them alot so they probably have plans... they'd be awesome heels!

Their war dance is really good and both guys are extremely good in the ring. However I feel that a lot of people are getting their hopes high too soon. The Usos have been having 5-6 minute matches with Slater and Gabriel, albiet good matches. Now that could be a start in an effort to rebuild the tag team division but it could also be mere filler. I would have also liked at least one team to get a sustained push. The Usos won last week and looked all confident about their match this week but they lost today. The end result is that no team has a distinct advantage over the other and they are both stuck in the same spot. Unless the two of them have a huge blowoff match at a later date which gets at least ten minutes, nobody is going to remember anything about either team rendering this rivalry null and void.

That entrance and war dance didn't change anything. They still suck. I hate the Usos. I cannot stand them. They suck in the ring and on the mic. Any match they ever had that didn't suck was due to the others rather than them. Their old entrance was boring, and this still sucks. I have no desire to ever see them become tag team champions because there is nothing about them to like. I hope they get future endeavoured honestly.

Loving the new push they are getting, I think they are extremely talented and interesting to watch.

I would like to point out that the "Polynesian War Dance" they did on their new entrance is NOT polynesian. It's a Maori Haka from New Zealand. WWE should really have done their research here. Polynesian's do have a haka, but it is in their own language, not in the Maori language. And this specific haka they are doing is the haka of the New Zealand National Rugby team the All Blacks

Here is how its supposed to be done:

And here is another version of a Maori Haka:

Despite this I love the fact WWE are using a Maori Haka on worldwide television!

That entrance and war dance didn't change anything.

Well it kind of does. It gives them something unique for the fans to cheer for, and adds to their character.

They still suck.

Still suck? That would require them to have sucked in the first place. Which they didn't and still don't.

I hate the Usos. I cannot stand them. They suck in the ring and on the mic.

Well that's just a falllacy. How the fuck do you consider them to suck in the ring?

Any match they ever had that didn't suck was due to the others rather than them.

1) It takes two to tango
2) That's the same line of stupidity that Cena detractors use to call Cena crap in the ring in spite of the good matches he's had. The Usos have had decent to good matches with everyone from the Rotundos to Slaibriel. It's one thing to say that they got carried by one opponent. but if they're being "carried" by EVERY opponent they've ever faced then chances are they aren't being carried after all.

Their old entrance was boring, and this still sucks.

So fast forward. I think it's an awesome addition, but then opinions are like ********s. Everyone's got them and chances are someone thinks yours is shitty.

I have no desire to ever see them become tag team champions because there is nothing about them to like.

Except that badass double team samoan drop, their consistently good tag matches the haka of awesome. Actually there's a lot to like if you aren't determined to hate them.

I hope they get future endeavoured honestly.

So you're wishing unemployment on people just because you don't like them? Classy move Dagger.

The introduction of the Haka dance was fucking sweet, very cool entrance all around, especially to any college football fans.

Unfortuantely, you cant really just throw some guys out there and say "Hey, cool dance, lots of screaming, some dancing NOW LIKE THESE GUYS!!"...How many promos have they cut? Ever? One? No explanation to the face turn, zero insight into who these guys are and what they are about, just not one single thing to give a shit about.

Its a damn shame too, both guys operate very well in the ring, have some serious natural athleticism and knack for what they are doing, both are very good looking, there is no reason not to get them over more properly than what is being done.

If all they got for them is this, they will fail and likely be gone, soon.

If all they got for them is this, they will fail and likely be gone, soon.

That's true... but I think the WWE does have more in the cards for the Usos than dancing and wrestling matches that nobody cares about.

I hated the Usos during their first run in the WWE when they feuded with the Hart Dynasty. I thought they were boring and that they were sort of thrown together to make a second wrestling family that the Harts could feud with. However, the Usos have blown me away these past three weeks, and they have become a part of Smackdown I really look forward to. Not only do they have great wrestling ability, but they have natural charisma that draws crowds into their matches. I remember in their match against Slabriel two weeks ago the crowd was all but silent towards the beginning of the match, but by the end of it the crowd was very much into the match. That's a great sign for the Usos, and hopefully they'll be able to do the same thing they did with that match to their careers.

With the Usos playing a role on Smackdown three weeks in a row, I don't doubt that the WWE has something in the books for them as the WWE must be as impressed with the Usos' ability as I am. I don't think they need to explain the face turn, but perhaps after the Usos dispatch Slabriel one more time they'll announce their intention to challenge Nexus for the WWE Tag Team Championship, and we'll get a little more insight to their character.

I 100& Agree.Im Glad they r getting the chance to show case there moves now and having time! check out there match son WWE Superstars 6/30/11 Amazing!!
