The Urban Legends Thread

Spidey Revivey

Porn is okay here long as it ain't dudes.
I didn't see this anywhere, and I thought it would be an interesting thread.

Urban Legends are perhaps one of those things that make the internet even more wonderful. Hell even before the internet it made life interesting, stories of people putting their pets in microwaves and criminals getting their just desserts in ironic fashion are some of the things that people just happen to like talking about, whether or not in a scary sense.

So my internet compadres, have any urban legends or creepypasta you'd like to share with the class?

One of my all-time favorites is The Licked Hand. Here is a synopsis of the story:

A girl is home alone with only her dog for company. Listening to the radio she hears of a serial killer on the loose, so she locks all the doors and windows and goes to bed, taking her dog to her room with her and letting it sleep under her bed. She wakes in the night and can hear a dripping sound in her room, the bedside lamp won't work and she is too scared to get out of bed to turn in the main light. She hides under the covers but to reassure herself that the dog is still under the bed she puts her hand down and feels the dog lick her. She lays awake for some time listening to the dripping sound and periodically puts her hand down to where she can hear the dog breathing and each time it gently licks her fingers. Eventually she falls back asleep. She wakes in the morning, lifts the covers and to her horror she sees her dog hanging by its collar from the ceiling light, it's stomach slit open and its intestines hanging down still dripping blood onto the floor, on the wall smeared in the dog's blood is the phrase, "HUMANS CAN LICK TOO"

I would like to see more Urban Legends, Creepypasta, and Folk Tales. I'm always interested in stories of this calibur, so feel free to hit me with whatever you dig.

There is an urban legend that goes around where I work. The Gargoyle. It started as a really cheap move to kick up tourism as where I work tourism is pretty high. The premise was similar to that of the "Chupacabra". It's a strange animal that goes around liking livestock. Except this one can fly and isn't afraid to jump people. It's said to live by a sugarmill in the Puertorican town of Guanica. However, like I said, it started as a cheap hoax. And it's evolved from there with people claiming their dogs, chickens or goat s are being killed by the creature and that they have been jumped by it. How do you knoe the hoax worked? December 22, 2010. Two Trans-Am busses arrived from the North East coast with people heading for the sugarmill to see if they could spot the creature. Our reaction? "What the fuck did we start?" Thing is, at this point we can't tell if it's still a hoax. Pictures have appeared.
