She wasn't blaming him as such, she was just upset. It's not unrealistic to think you could spent Christmas with your husband, it's not like he travelled every day, it could be weeks/months.

For anyone who read the book, I have one question. Why didn't he just win powerball once and quit his job. Then he would not have had to worry about ending up in the cage and he could have spent more time with his family.
Other than that I enjoyed the book.

Nah, nothing really important to the story at all, just a minor detail that bothered me about the book.
