The Steve Corino Fan Club

Shadowmancer

I am The Last Baron
This is a fan club for the Fucking God of Professional Wrestling, The King of Old School; "Mr. Wrestling 3" Steve Corino!!

The Last Great Journeyman Champion!!

When I first saw him on ECW i hated this guy. Ever since then I've liked him more and more. Just the style he works and the insane list of championships he's won is remarkable. He's won titles all over the world in big and little companies. No one will be like him in the future. I suppose I'll join up.

Steve Corino was awesome. I remember one time he was having a match against Balls Mahoney, and he picked up a chair and was about to swing with it. But then, he just unfolded it, put it down, sat on it, and proceeded to put a headlock on Mahoney. So fucking funny, and the fans were pissed. Great, great stuff.

I'll never understand why WWE never brought Corino in. I know he's no where near the typical WWE wrestler as far as built is concerned, but I really think he would help the company out in many of way. Like a heel commentator, for example. He'd be better than JBL was at the position, in my opinion. Personally, I always felt he'd make a tremendous mouthpiece for wrestlers who couldn't talk. Chris Benoit, for example, could've used him as a manager. Hell, even today, Corino would be PERFECT as Shelton Benjamin's cowardly, heel manager. I have no clue why WWE doesn't believe in managers anymore.

But anyway, overall, Corino is a great entertainer. His matches are always solid, and you're always guaranteed to smile at least once while watching a segment of his. He is just a true great talent who has yet to get the big paycheck he deserves.

He is a great Wrestler still. He is one of two that I would go to if I wanted to learn how to Wrestle. The Other being Lance Storm. Look at the next name that will be coming through on the Indies soon in "The New Generation Ace" Ricky Landell, Steve Corino trained him. Add in the fact that he is one of the founders of the Extreme Horsemen, He is the reason Masato Tanaka was at the two One Night Stands where they brought in outside guys. He has had great matches in Japan and the US and is one of the most Overlooked Wrestlers and Talkers in recent times.

Add in the fact that he is one of the founders of the Extreme Horsemen

Yes, yes... they were awesome too. Hell, MLW period was awesome, in my opinion.

Also, to add on to Corino's greatness, I would say his fight against Homicide at ROH's Bitter Friends, Stiffer Enemies show is the second greatest hardcore match of all time in my book. It was beyond phenomenal.

Great Image of Steve Corino prior to a match with... take a guess.

And in 2000, was Most Improved Wrestler.

Great Wrestler, sad he retired. He would be great to take wrestling lessons from.

Get the F*CK OUTTA HERE, where? promotion? WWE used him like a couple times last year at house shows.

Steve Corino rocks. I loved him in ECW and he was great in the time he spent in ROH. So sign me up for the fan club. I do have to say that I was not aware he started his own promotion. And it's in Philly!! Which means I'll be taking a drive at some point soon to check out one of the shows.

Why are we celebrating a guy who can't make it in a decent promotion?

ECW, MLW, Zero-1 and ROH are/were decent promotions. Even if you personally find all those promotions to be lame, you can't deny ECW and ROH's popularity. Then you have MLW, who WWE feared at one point for being their next top competition, and also Zero-1, which was popular in Japan.

Corino main evented all those companies and was very entertaining while doing so. That's why we celebrate him.

Look in that list and you have four world Championships. 2 AWA,1 NWA and 1 ECW.

Zero 1 max is his main promotion in Japan but he has wrestled elsewhere as well. He Wrestles a different style to the WWE. An Old School style and a Japanese Strong Style. Combine in how good he is on the Stick. Why not Luther.

I don't know if bleeding a lot adds or subtracts from a career or talent level. Look at Flair. Sometimes he could pass for a redhead.

Bleeding was part of the story. Combine in the fact that Bleach Blonds seem to bleed a lot anyway. Try find a Bleach Blond male Wrestler that doesn't bleed. A Shitload.
