Why does everybody seem to forget that HHH said he wrestled Undertaker before at Wrestlemania the very next RAW. Seems to never be mentioned.

That's the Raw after the Mania match though when HHH says that. Before that they were hyping it up as if they'd never faced before. I think that's what Killjoy was getting at.

I might have been tempted to somewhat agree with the OP had Undertaker won due to an ally of his attacking him on purpose to get Giant Gonzalez DQ-ed. However, the fact that Gonzalez hit Taker with everything he had be still could not beat the Deadman, leading to him using chloroform in an act of frustration/desperation (and Taker still came back for more) means that there is no tainting of that victory.
In the end, no matter the circumstances, the Undertaker won at Wrestlemania IX.
