Not surprised but complete crap that no one got in. I thought Biggio would make it but knowing how some of these writers think I'm not shocked. Biggio will likely get in next year, two years at the latest. Piazza will get in eventually. Bonds and Clemens will take a while but I think they will evetually make it too. Sosa's not looking good at all.

I'm surprised Morris didn't move up at all. I'm not sure he belongs in but I thought he would move up. Not a good sign for him that he didn't get more support in a year where people expected no one else to get in and as mentioned above Maddux and Glavine are on the ballot next year along with Mussina.

I don't know what everyone has against Fred McGriff. Only 20% on his fourth year? I think he should be in the hall so I'm shocked that he gets such little support.

1. I think McGriff is hurt by the era, and it's a damn shame. He's clean but the numbers are hurt by the better numbers by the others in the era. He deserves to be in the Hall and will most likely get in eventually. Even if it takes the Veterans Committee.

2. I also think Jack Morris hurt his own candidacy by being so vocal about getting in. Had he been less vocal (read: obnoxious) about it, then he may have gotten in sooner.

3. Maddux, Glavine, and Mussina will have a bit of a problem next year. The 2 Braves should be no doubt "First Ballot" guys, and Mussina should be a "Takes A While But Should Get In" guy, but based on the Steroid Era, I don't think they'll get in. They're 100% clean, but there are seemingly a lot of blank ballots due to the era.

There's at least 6 that should've made the HOF this year (and none of them are named Morris)....they're going to have a problem the next few years.....next year's ballot will be even more stuffed with deserving names than this year. The current system needs to go....bring in a new group of voters.

I get not wanting a sponsor, but seriously a 4 year old could have came up with that without even thinking about it in about 3 seconds.
