I understand all of that, but 2 years later to give the story to Deadspin (not to the NFL, the police, or whatever, but to a media outlet), she definitely doesn't come off as the innocent, trying to right a wrong type. She comes off more of a money-hog trying to profit off of a terrible situation.]
Im sure she's doing quite well for herself between her gig on FSN and her modeling career. The way shes gone about it hasnt been your typical money digging ****e type of deal. She's known in the media, so whats HER best outlet to get things out there? By going public. I dont agree with the means as to how she went about it, but I understand it. Maybe she thought or felt that by going to a third party she herself wouldnt have to deal with such backlash. Maybe she wasnt sure what to do, and she decided that by using a media outlet that would get the proper personnels attention in this situation. Sure worked out for her, didnt it?
Yes, what happened to her is wrong, no mistake, and yes, there's a lot of pressure on her to report the incident, but when you go about it the way she did, you don't get sympathy, nor deserve it.
With all respect man, this is a contradiction in itself. It was wrong what happened to her but she gets no sympathy because of how she went about it? Look, women of ALL stature, beauty, age and dignity are confused as to how to go about things when they're sexually violated. Even if she wasn't violated in the physical sense, she still was violated sexually. And for some women, they often don't use the proper channels in these cases, nor do they go about things right away. To say that someone deserves no sympathy because of how she went about it is way off. The only way she deserves no sympathy is if she is what you described her, which is a money-hog. Then, Ill agree with you, because shes the type that likely got a laugh out of it with her friends, or even felt flattered that one of the all-time greats was showing her his junk.
Note, none of that has anything to do with the massage therapists, whom seem to be going about it the right way. Yes, they took forever to go about it (which makes matters more difficult to prove/disprove by the way), but they get more respect since they are going through the proper channels.
This I am quite aware of. My entire point about the situation is that if Sterger had never gone public, they might not have either. Whose to say that just because they went through the proper channels that thyere every bit as much of money hogs as she is? We dont know.
The team is being sued. The TEAM is getting asked about it in the media. Hence the team was brought into this. Hence why I said that. You never brought it up, but the media did.
I realize this, and I honestly forgot about this part. Im guessing Favre's influence as their main attraction pushed honor and integrity to the backseat. Im sure they'ld both be Jets employees today if they had been "good lil girls" and done what Favre had alledgedly asked. I can understand where it could be seen as a distraction, but the players should handle it the same way the Steelers did when the Roethlisberger story was hot. "Next question or Im done here" would be a simple way to avoid said distraction. I still dont see how this is ammunition to hate on Rex Ryan's Jets. I hate them because theyre a threat to the Steelers, not because of anything to do with Rey Ryan, or the Jets. Anyone with half a brain would feel the same. It makes me questiion the integrity and honor of the higher ups because of their handling of the massuesses, but I have no issue with the Jets players or Rex Ryan himself. I hated Santonio when he was here because he was an ass, but I still cheered for him when he made a play. Its called seperating the personal from the professional.
