The Sports Bar

At least Lou Holtz has contributed to the world of sports in the past. He is also a senile old man so he has an excuse for being an idiot.

Phucking Phillies. Every other team in the NL should just fold. That rotation is just filthy. What annoys me though, is that apparently he loved Philly when he was there and always wanted to go back. If they were, for lack of a better phrase, "meant to be", how come I never heard them mentioned until about 3 hours before he agreed with them. I just find it really weird.

As for the Yankees, its time to go to Plan B. Oh wait, Plan B was Carl Crawford and he's in Boston. The top free agent pitcher right now is Pavano and we all know he is not going back to NY. Greinke cannot handle the Big Apple and I really hope they dont trade for him. King Felix would be awesome, but his price tag is probably higher than Greinke's, so that trade is probably highly unlikely. Luckily, our lineup is still pretty good and we didnt lose too much pitching.

I know everyone is thinking Red Sox vs. Phillies in the World Series. Just remember there's always a low payroll surprise that makes a good run.

Did someone forget about the reigning champs who still have Lincecum, Cain, Sanchez, Bumgardner, and Wilson at closer?

nobody forgot about that. It's just that Lee, Halladay, Oswalt, Hamels is about 10 thousand times better then Lincecum, Cain, Sanchez, Bumgardner.

Plus the Philly Offense is better.

I'm pretty sure Lincecum split with Halladay in the playoffs and beat Lee twice, Cain beat Hamels and was undefeated throughout the postseason, Bumgardner and Sanchez aren't far behind them either.

And pitching wins titles. Those four match up toe to toe with the Philly 4.

Definitely not toe to toe. The two aces are Halladay and Lincecum and they split in the playoffs but Halladay had an overall better season. Cliff Lee will be the number two and he now has a better offense around him. Cain beat Hamels in the playoffs the only problem is that Cain is the Giants number 2 and Hamels is going to be the Phillies number 4. Sanchez and Bumgarner are both very good but also very young and I need to see them put together multiple good seasons in a row.

So the Jets assistant was suspended for the rest of the season for tripping the Dolphins player. Fair punishment?

EDIT: The punishment was given out by the Jets organization itself and not Roger Goodell.

he deserved to be suspended for the remainder of the season (with or without pay is fine). There doesn't need to be any further fine. The guy is gonna lose out on a quarter of his income for the year, and it's not like these guys are making hundreds of thousands of dollars.

And while he did trip the guy, it's not like he ran out onto the field and flung his leg at him. The player was running out of bounds and his knee moved an inch or 2. Suspension for the remainder of the season is fine.
