The Sports Bar

1. blame Marvin Miller, who got Free Agency started. Blame the RED SOX for overpaying for him, or Tom Hicks, for really pushing the contracts overboard with the A-Rod deal. Reggie didn't do anything. He was given an awesome (for the time) contract and said I'll take it. The Yankees gave him the contract (not their first FA by the way).
2. Maybe now the Sox will get hit for the Luxury Tax. Unless they find another loophole.
3. Great move on their part. Needed an outfielder, got the best one available. Can't blame them.
4. is it just me, or is having a speedy Left Fielder in Fenway Pahk pretty much a waste? I mean, what's he gonna do, run really fast for 5 steps, then stand there and play the ball off Tha Monsta?

Nope I blame the Yankees. It's the easy thing to do and I'm too lazy to get into any pissing matches over this.

That's awesome.

And it's quite embarassing that the first MNF game in Ford Field history doesn't even feature the Lions. Shows you how bad the team has been since the stadium has opened.

Anyone see the Jets assistant on the sideline trip a Dolphins player running back to cover a punt?

It seems like everyone is making a big deal out of this. I saw it live and I was :lmao:

yeah, it was a shit move by the guy, who will definitely be fined (by the team, if not the league), maybe suspended, and maybe removed from the sidelines, and he could even be fired.

What was the defender doing on the sidelines? I didn't see if he was hit out, or if he voluntarily ran out.

It's a sad thing, the guy admitted to the wrongdoing, and will be dealt with accordingly.
