The Sports Bar

This TJ guy is a complete fool. He didn't respond to me the first time I quoted his stupidity in the thread, hopefully he does the second time.

Alright, sounds good. We can have things like best thread and best poster as far as forum awards go, and have things like best game, best play, biggest suprise, biggest Cinderella or underdog, best season....

TJChurch for least intelligent poster. The guy has gone from making very little sense to absolutely none at all. He's like Deej except with the ability to spell.

Can we just do a lifetime achievement award for Big Sexy or something along those lines? Because if we just have the best poster I'm sure its going to him....every year.

Ron Santo was one of a kind. He may not have been the greatest analyst, but he sure was entertaining to listen to. He was loved and respected by all in CHicago and he will be missed.

First of all, RIP Ron Santo.

Now back to some happy news, the Yankees resigned one of their own today, as the Greatest Closer of All Time Mariano Rivera signed a 2 year, $30 Million contract. The type of person Rivera is shows here, as he had 3 year offers from 2 teams (Angels and Red Sox) that each were worth the same annual money, and he took the 2 year deal to stay in New York.

I actually read that Boston was offering him more money. Around 17 million a year. He really bleeds pinstripes.

His loyalty is pretty much second to none. He literally turned down $15-$20 million to stay with the Yankees. The number of players who would do that you can count on one hand (and have extra fingers left over). Couple that with the fact that Rivera is as close to perfect off the field as he is on, and you get the reason why he's so revered.

Too bad TJChurch isn't here to tell us how last night's game showed how much LeBron sucked or how much he meant/did for that city.

The Cavs freakin suck without LeBron and was disappointed in the effort.
