pretty cool.

Yeah I watched it today. Very cool to see. Watching it, and trying to watch other teams as well, has got me very excited for baseball. My level of optimism is extremely high.

I share your enthusiasm for baseball to get here ASAP. Though I've found basketball to be an entertaining alternative now that the Cavaliers aren't just painful to watch. I mean, last year was hard. So hard. This year at least I can reasonably have some hope.

I've got basketball and hockey on my side as well. But as much as I love both the Blackhawks and Bulls, the White Sox will always be my #1 team and baseball my #1 sport. The next 25 days are going to be full of excited anxiousness.

I wil be watching the NCAA tourney until Michigan gets eliminated, but after that, it's the Red Wings and Tigers. Basketball just doesn't excite me anymore. Hell, I was our team's statistician for all 4 years in high school, and now I simply don't care...

What really sucks is that every year, they used to do the March Madness On Demand on the web and on the iPhone/Pod/Pad. It used to be free. Now I think they want to charge you. Now that every game is on TV, it may be OK though. I do wish I'd be able to get it on my phone though.

I disagree with the idea that you don't care about March Madness.

You don't need a team in the dance to enjoy the dance. The NCAA Tournament is like a hot girl. Sure, you're not with her in any way shape or form. She's still hot though, so you want to check her out. Even if you are with a fugly chick (the NIT). You don't think about the hot girl being such a **** that she's with 68 teams at the same time. She's still hot, so you check her out.

Eh. Maybe not as heart-breaking. I don't know. Like I said, outside of MSU the tournament means very little to me, at this point in time. Sure once the tournament gets going I could possibly, maybe even likely, change my tune.

I'm looking ahead to baseball and I can't wait for not only Opening Day, but also for the Pale Hose home opener which I shall be attending. It's not so much that I want to skip over March Madness so much as I want baseball to get here quickly.

I'm filling out my bracket right now. First time I've done a bracket though I've kept taps on March Madness for the last couple of years. I like to get a look at some presumptive draft picks when they show up. I got into a pool for money though, this year, so I'll be into it a bit more.

Anyone else digging Belmont? I have them as an Elite Eight team, if they can get past Georgetown (which I think they can).

Nice. I thought I was the only one. I like their chances. I have them going out in the Sweet 16 to Kansas, but it was a close one. Them, VCU, and LBSU are the high seeds I can see doing some damage this year. Right now I'm rocking Kentucky/Mich St and Vandy/UNC with a Mich St/UNC final and the Tar Heels winning. Though all that could easily change minus my final. I kinda dig that.

Yeah, actually, I immediately reconsidered and put Kansas over them in Sweet 16. LBSU is another Sweet Sixteen for me too. I'm thinking Wichita St. over VCU in the first round though.

Final for me tentatively is Missouri vs Ohio State, Final Four being UNC vs OSU and Kentucky vs Missouri. I think Kentucky rides a wave of easy-ish victories in Missouri who I think stun them. UNC vs OSU is a nailbiter and I went for relative homerism. Tentatively thinking OSU for the win.

Yeah I don't like VCU's chance, but I've had a soft spot in my heart for them. The year they upset Duke they were my sleeper team and actually won me money in a bet. Of course last year I had them out in the first round (Butler as well, who I also usually ride pretty far). Murray St (not much of a sleeper) I could see do some damage in their bracket. Either way I just love March Madness. Shame I work Thursdays thru Sundays that I'll miss a majority of the action.

And I actually think this could HELP the Manning to the Dolphins. While Marshall is a great receiver, his personality could have been something that may have driven Manning away from them.

This is a great trade for the Bears, or a terrible trade for the Bears, depending on which Brandon Marshall they get. Brandon Marshall can be a team's #1 WR, but only when he wants to. If he is motivated to play hard, good trade. If he is just going through the motions of being an NFL receiver (I think he was mentally checked out most of last year) then it's a bad trade.

I just don't feel like Manning will want to go somewhere without some great offensive weapons already signed. Wayne and Bush isn't enough firepower to contend for a title (which is what I'm guessing Manning wants to do).
