The Sims 3

So, who's buying it? It comes out in mid February.

I like the idea of free roaming throughout the neighborhoods, but I think the people look too scrunchy and cartoony. They were more realistic in TS2. I also like that in this game the characters can be different heights/builds, and you have more control over the individual personalities and quirks of the characters.

I also don't know how I feel about the universal aging. Previously, if your teen was dating a guy and she became an adult, her boyfriend would remain a teenager and you could no longer date him. In this game, he would age at the same rate as her and the problem would be averted.
The problem is that if you have 2 families going at once, and you leave one family to go play another for awhile, your other family will age and grow up while you're not playing them.

The funny thing about the Sims is that it's not a game you play for a few hours a week...it's a game you play for like 3 days straight with no rest and then don't play again for a year or so.

:wtf: I hate the sims, I remember buying the first and second and not even being able to get them to work on my computer. The only thing worth playing this game for is to see what happens when they die. I think i would much prefer to live my own life then sit on a computer and do the same thing. (not that I am against others doing it)

I think the Sims range is pure crap all through it. all of these stupid add ons that really don't need nothing. That is why i won't be buying it. I might borrow it off of a mate to see how they die but thats about it. there is no way i am paying $80 dollars for something i can do in real life for free and not fuck up.

FUCK YEAH!!! Love the damn Sims games. Great way to kill a few DAYS. LOL. You are right you play and play them until you cant play anymore. Then you get the itch to play again. Kind of excited seeing some of the screenshots and info from this game. I'm sure it will be just as fun if not more fun than the other previous Sims games. Maybe we will get some wicked ass expansion packs. I mean even cooler ones than we have gotten in the past.

A guy can dream.

Well I love the Sims 2, but my favorite option is building the house, and not caring about the family:P. As long as Sims 3 has a great house building option, I'll be down for playing it.

Add ons are probably my favorite part of the game, everytime you get an expansion, it is always incredible shifting through them looking for something great that has been added. As Sparky said however, it is a nuisance when you have to rebuy the game expansions ever so often. But there is always free stuff you can get online, so that makes it fun.
