I like the idea of free roaming throughout the neighborhoods, but I think the people look too scrunchy and cartoony. They were more realistic in TS2. I also like that in this game the characters can be different heights/builds, and you have more control over the individual personalities and quirks of the characters.
I also don't know how I feel about the universal aging. Previously, if your teen was dating a guy and she became an adult, her boyfriend would remain a teenager and you could no longer date him. In this game, he would age at the same rate as her and the problem would be averted.
The problem is that if you have 2 families going at once, and you leave one family to go play another for awhile, your other family will age and grow up while you're not playing them.
The funny thing about the Sims is that it's not a game you play for a few hours a week...it's a game you play for like 3 days straight with no rest and then don't play again for a year or so.
