League of Legends

The 1-2-3 Killam

Mid-Card Championship Winner
Pretty sure somebody made a thread about this last year when the game was in Beta, but it has since become the number 2 played game on the internet (after Minecraft of course!). So, are there any Wrestlezone forum people out there that play League of Legends?

Personally, it's one of my favorite games. If you're new to the game or have never heard about it, it's a Free-to-play game based on DOTA, which was a variant of Warcraft III that got REALLY popular many years ago, and still is in Korea. Like I said, the game itself is completely free to play, and has dozens of champions to choose from, each with their own unique play style and moveset. The only reason you'd spend money on the game is to buy new characters (which you can also unlock with free in-game currency) or to buy new skins for your favorite champions. Basically, it's a way for Riot to make money off the game without forcing you to pay for the experience.

Any thoughts on LoL?

I started with Dota, moved on to HoN and now am avidly playing LoL.

It really is great, all three games are solid and I love that I can just move on to Newerth when I get tired of League and vice versa. I would still consider myself a noob at League (I'm only now approaching level 20) but I'm learning fast.

Great game with friends, less frustrating then HoN but just as good. I love when my Master Yi is fed. I also fucking hate Teemo.

I play casually. Its really only fun to me with friends.Otherwise most people dont co-operate unless they're completely noob.

Still my lovely Tryn and less played Kassadin are my bestest champs.

I liked it for a while. But I've never really enjoyed games that are dominated by hardcore number crunchers that jump down your throat for everything you do that's not generally accepted as being the best way to play. Same reason I don't play WoW PvP either. At least this game is a lot more skill based than WoW though. WoW is just stupid bad at PvP. LoL is pretty good and a lot of fun, until you have to deal with the community.
