We have numerous sticky threads where you can ask questions. But this is different. This should really be for sig makers only. If you need an opinion from an experienced source, ask it here. "What's your favourite font?", "What's your favourite brush?". Stuff like that.

You could even post a sig your half-way through but having trouble and ask for some help.

Basically, this will be a space for siggers to bounce idea's off each other or ask for help. It will be different to the boring ask a question threads. A true 'community' for sig makers.

I like this idea. Here is an idea that I have tossed around suggesting to the Sig Makers. How about we create a thread that compiles backgrounds so it gives us sig makers an easier way of making sigs. I know each maker has his or her own personal backgrounds but I think it would be very nice for everyone to get a chance to use our resources more effectively.

I'm all for this. I've yet to dip my toes into the Graphics section of this site, with the exception of making my own sigs, but I'd be happy to contribute to this where possible.

Trying to be part of the topic, I think that this is a good idea, where we can make announcements, give and get tips, and even get to know each other.

My first tip to every beginner is, start with tutorials, make what the tutorial ask for you to do, and then you re-create the tutorial but with a different render.

Also I have about 300 brushes downloaded and about 15 new font types.
I think I am good with the smudging and the creation of backgrounds with brushed and the use of the filters, also I can "cut" images perfectly, thank god I've learned the new things of CS5, because it is brilliant to cut.

I want to know if anybody here use the Adobe Bridge...

What is your favourite subject to make a sig of?

Mine is CM Punk. I've never made a bad Punk sig. He works so well and he has no exact colour scheme.

What about you guys?

Hm.

Well, I make sigs of all sorts of things but I find that anime renders are the most fun to work with and can be integrated into a whole load of different styles. Of the anime renders, I like to use Alucard (the man in my avatar) the most, so i'll say him.

And I love some of your anime ones, DDP. I'm not into anime but I can tell they'd be great to make sigs with.

Anime renders lend themselves to the style of many people's signatures. They are colourful and and plentiful.

I think that anime sigs always end up being good signatures, I've made one from Sasuke and I know that it's simple but it is still a good looking signature in my opinion.

That's a great Idea. It will catch a few guys unaware and really force them to work hard.

My favorite one is actually the 4th The colors and the text is very good...


I have requested to close my showcase, I think I have come to a new level on Photo Edition and I will start to make new stuff.
I was thinking about Old School signatures, and in that new thread The Old School is going to be revived and for who is interested the first signature is going to be Bret "The Hitman" Hart.
I want you all guys to give me some good feedback in this creations.

I don't think you should go making a new showcase every couple of months. It's good to be able to compare your early work to your new stuff. Take a look at page 1 of my showcase - it's dreadful

But you've inspired me. It's high time I make a new showcase as well.

Well FSWWE has kindly asked me to explain how I did the background for the BT! banners I made Jam. The technique is halfway through another technique. First I'll show you one of them:

1) I make a layer and do an FGtoBG radial gradient. The colours used are FG: light blue BG: dark blue.

2) Open up a new layer and paste in the logo. re-size it so it's about 150px wide. Then select it and copy it. Then delete that.

3) New layer. Since you copied the logo you can now use it as a brush. just brush it everywhere on the new layer. Make it so you can't see the blue background.

4) Then all you have to do is set the logos layer on overlay.


It's a pretty simple technique but helpful all the same.
