Just like Anus used to do, but all in one Thread. After every episode of Monday Night Raw, I'll post who I think was the MVP of the show. But, I'm not using the stupid "Drumroll".

Raw MVP For 18th July Is...........

The+Miz+%2528wwesuperb.blogspot.com+%252814%2529.jpg
THE MIZ!

Right, hear me out, hear me out. I could've put someone else, but Miz, under all the VKM/HHH/Cena stuff, came out looking good and here's why.

He was placed in the WWE Championship Tournament by Mr McMahon, where he had to face Alex Riley. After having lost in 2 consecutive attempts to Riley, you would believe that Miz may not come out on top this time and that Riley would advance. However, this time was the "3rd time lucky" for Miz as he hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Riley and took the win, all with a Knee "injury". He progressed to the Semi-Finals, where again with his bad knee, he overcame the odds to beat Kofi Kingston and progress to the Finals where he would face Rey Mysterio. However, that match was postponed and will take place next week.

Miz is now in contention for winning the WWE Title for the 2nd time. When his match against Riley appeared on the Tron at the start of Raw, there was some pretty big pops for him. He handled his bad knee well, selling it continuously and he looked great for pulling out two wins in the night.

Like I said, apart from the 8 Guys in the Tournament, there wasn't really any other contenders for MVP. 2nd place has to go to Rey Mysterio though.

Did someone kill him after saying that Mark Henry was the MVP the night Punk unleashed the promo? Because everyone in that thread was 110% against him.

Back to the point, I agree. The Miz really showed everyone how much he thrists for that WWE Championship. I hope he doesn't leave his feud with Riley behind, that had the potential for more matches and isn't fully resolved, but I'm really hoping Miz wins the title next week, even though there's a huge chance Del Rio will seize the moment and cash in as soon as he wins.

As for Mysterio being second, I disagree. I feel Vince was the second best star of the night. Sure, he didn't wrestle or anything, but he proved he still has that infamous McMahon flame about him. This isn't the last we've seen of him, you can count on that.

As much as I would love to crown an MVP it was near impossible due to the fact that the Green Bay crowd was dead except for the children in the audience. Not at one point in the show was anyone out of their seat from the show. And even on the LD people could swear to hear the A/C running in the background.

Overall such a bad show from the fallout from perhaps, the greatest PPV of the year. And with Vince giving Punk the "Beniot treatment" didn't help give the crowd any fuel to become alive. If anything tonight proved that the right audience means everything. John Cena got more pops than any of the people who were on tonight and that was because he is John fucking Cena.

I hope Smackdown can show up Raw and host a better show and hopefully do not allow the same silence that filled Green Bay last night.

I agree. I felt that the Miz had been getting lost in the shuffle as of late, which is understandable with the other major storylines going on. It was refreshing to see the Miz in action last night, and he performed and sold his knee very well. I kinda wish he would've gotten some mic time, but with the show already so full i get why he didn't. Def. my pick for MVP.

On a side, I really enjoyed RAW overall tonight...not sure why so many people were not pleased with it....

Agreed, Eventhough a heel The Miz still gets a good reaction from the crowd, because he is a talented wrestler, and when was WWE champ, I really enjoyed raw and the ppv, well minus the dumb fued he had with Lawler...I want the Miz to win it, and I hope Del RIo doesn't Money in the Bank yet...

I'm going to say Vince was the MVP of RAW - he opened and closed the show, not because he's the owner of the company, but because he was the most important character in the show right now. In the beginning, we wanted to see how Vince would react, seeing how he lost his WWE Championship and that he had to fire Cena. In the end, we wanted to see him deal with Cena and they through us the massive curveball of firing Vince! His reaction seemed genuine, for the first time ever we saw the Chairman in tears, he played the part perfectly - you wanna talk about telling a story Vince told the whole story in the last 5 minutes of the broadcast last night.

Who cares about this tournament? The real champ is CM Punk, I knew they couldn't crown a new champ tonight and disrespect Punk (and more importantly the title) like that. Other than the tournament, the only other story was Vince and he made the most of his airtime tonight, kudos to the Chairman

Vince, leaps and bounds Vince. Best acting I've seen on wrestling since Edge retired and that wasn't acting...see where I'm going with this. I wonder what he was drawing off of for that performance.

MVP, well what are we going to remember from Raw, Vince's face, that final 6 seconds where he took the crowd from na na na, na na na, hey hey h....wait we're assholes...THANK YOU VINCE! THANK YOU VINCE!...yeah, Miz did nothing in comparison to that.

If we are only counting wrestlers...winner = miz. But, MVP of the show Vince.

I'm going to give the nod to Rey Mysterio

He put on probably the best two matches of the night, and he was by far the most popular wrestler on the show besides the McMahon/HHH/Cena thing.

(I was there live.. the crowd was absolutely nuts for Rey.. kids to my left screaming.. KICK OUT REY... kids behind me screaming... NOOO when there was a near fall.. he got a pretty big reaction.)

My vote is for Vince too.Not only did he play the part well, it left you waiting impatiently to see what will happen next week. Haven't felt like that about a show on WWE in a long time. Get that way about TNA just about every week. Just sayin.

Triple H has my vote for MVP of Raw this week because his return and promo were by far the biggest moments of he evening. He did a good job with the promo and it completely left everyone wondering what happens next while maintaining a serious tone to make it look real. Vince also did a good job with taking the news of his kayfabe'd dismissal from power.

The "Raw MVP" wasn't The Miz. Or Rey Mysterio. Or John Cena. It wasn't Triple H either. It wasn't even a wrestler. It was Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

I've never doubted Vince's ability to talk. That's always been a huge strength of his. The way he played the down-beat boss at the top of the show was very good. He had a difficult crowd to work with, but still managed to come out looking great. And then at the end of the show, he was still getting every emotion spot on. He was also a part of a Raw moment that will go down in history. When Triple H called him "pop" and he reacted, it felt real (well as real as it could feel). And for that reason, Vince McMahon is my "Raw MVP" for the 18th July.
