The Online Late at Night Thread

Yo yo yo.

I'm in the middle of a tense debate right now with the real president of my film club. I'm the acting president, and we're going to be running against each other in a few weeks, so tensions are high.

I think I'm winning.

It could turn into one, but he just sorta buckled. The debate is over next week's topic, which we agree will be first films, in which we show the first film a director produced. However, he wants it to be within a genre, like, the first film of a director that is a comedy, or the first film of a director that is a romance, but I want it to just be the first film of a director. I think it would be more fun my way, because that you could have like, Charlie Chaplin's first film squaring off with James' Cameron's first film.

Anytime someone wants to relegate something to a specific genre, it's almost always because they want to tip an unfair advantage in their favor.

That could be what's going on, but I just think it would be more fun for our club members if they got to choose between 4 very different directors. I mean, wouldn't you rather choose between a fantasy, a comedy, a drama, and a musical than between 4 comedies or 4 dramas?

Damn son, that's rough. Have you checked Craig's list yet? They usually have gigs for people with minimal talent that you can make a few quick bucks for.

Sounds like you might be mowing lawns for money dude. Are there any jobs available with the town or something? I know some kids from my hometown work maintenance jobs for the town over the summer, cleaning up parks and streets and what not.

Fuck if I know. I'm doing odd jobs when I can and doing some labor here and there. All I can do.

On a happy note: I have downloaded The Allman Brothers Band's Greatest Hits CD. Good music, good music.
