I'm not sure if I should be offended, or be tickled that you think my faith is an affront to all the others.

Once you practice polygamy you dont stop. Do you know how long it would take to file that many divorce papers? Also after losing half your possessions and money that many times you'll be screwed.
Most children refuse to sue their parents though...

I remember in Junior High when I took French class that every time the holidays would come around the teacher would go from Christmas and Christianity to Paganism... because the beliefs are derived from it... especially the way the French celebrate Christmas.

Well, it is, and it isn't. See, the date of Christmas is, in fact based on Yule (not Brenner), or "Winter Solistice" to most. As is the whole giving of gifts, and even the Christmas tree.
The only thing, really, that's different is the reason of celebration.
In all honesty, most Christian holidays and traditions are based on Paganism, even down to a large number of Saints. For example, St. Bridgette is based on the deity Brigid. It was all done so the Church could convince the Celts, and others, to embrace their religion.
Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, or anything....
You're just trying to let the facts out, that's understandable. I have to defend Mormonism as well.

Another tidbit, that's sure to piss off any Catholic in here, is that the Black Death/Plague can be blame entirely on the Church.
See, just before the events happened, the Church officials of the time decided to ban the ownership of cats, even going so far as ordering the extermination of said animal. Their reasoning? Witches own cats. Can't have that
