The Online Late at Night Thread

It may do the same to me to be honest, and it pisses me off to no end. Very eye opening and while I wish I wasn't watching it it may be a good thing that I am. Also, noticed you're a film student or major. A man after my own heart, I'm a film minor because the bastards at my college didn't offer it as a major.

It's a very well made and effective documentary. As powerful as the health part of things is, the social implications are even more enraging. The factory farms and food corporations bring in illegal immigrants and promise them immunity from the law, but whenever the cops start sniffing around the company turns over the immigrants and the IMMIGRANTS are the ones who are punished, not the corporation. It's disgusting.

There's a pizza place on campus, The Pie Pizzeria. I just went down and got a 23 inch pizza for the boys and I. And they have this great Root Beer which I got two galllons of.

Pizza and (good) root beer is my favorite meal, especially if you add french fries. What's your favorite kind of root beer? I'm a fan of Polar Classics root beer, but there's also this brand called Virgil's that I get at Whole Foods from time to time, and it's pretty amazing.

Exactly. I am also very against cruelty to animals, not that I am a vegetarian or anything, but watching the clips of the picks being put into the "kill room" and seeing the cow swinging upside down and hitting a wall just pissed me off to no end.

Virgil's is so good. I like the Pie's custom stuff that I'm having right now, it's excellent. Has a nice vanilla flavor, too. I'm also eating a brownie platter from the Pie now, best desert ever. It's gooey and oozey in the middle. Fuck, I have to work the calories off tomorrow. Dammit. I hate the fact that you have to keep working out to keep your muscles. When football ended I wanted to stop working out too... But alas, it was not meant to be.

I wish I had just one set of freeweights in my room, that way I wouldn't have to walk to the gym in the freezing freakin cold. It's supposed to be below 0 tomorrow.

And Indy, that shit was disturbing too, but not nearly as disturbing as the fact that the cows had to stand in their own shit that piled up to their thighs. Basically, the big meat companies are risking giving us horribly infected meat just so they can make more money.

Also, there's a law that prevents journalists from publishing any negative information about the major food companies. It's ridiculous, but it's true. I don't know if you got to that part in the movie, but that is the most disgusting part of the whole thing.

At home I had stuff in the exercise room, but here I have to go to the gym. It's a nice gym, actually. I'm working the abs mostly, also trying to get my bench press up.

The gym here is really nice too, and I've got a good routine. I'm not really interested in building too much muscle, just trying to tone up and cut down on my gut a little.

Once you have muscle tone you have to maintain it, so I have to lift. I was running a few days ago, I still run pretty fast. During football I was at a 4.6, which is fast for a QB.

Naah, I don't play here. I go to Utah. I got offers from some bad schools to play, but I got a full-ride academic here, so I can walk-on the team.

Oh well, you can just be a normal college student and do whatever you want, the way god intended. Seriously though, it's probably nice to be able to go about your own business without having to dedicate most of your time to football.

It's a big difference. I mean, in high school being the Varsity starting QB was a huge responsibility. Gym, practice, coaches meetings, team events, I had to be everywhere. I ran the team most of the time.

Yeah if you played in college you'd probably have to dedicate just as much time to football but without any of the rewards of being the varsity QB.

My school doesn't even have a football team anymore. Then again, we're more of a hockey school.

We don't have a football team at the school I am at right now either, though the first college I went to had one of the best NAIA football teams in the nation.

Yeah I watched it and was rather impressed with the layout of it. It had some great fights to boot with the emergence of a dark horse in Lightweight division in Melvin. I was impressed with his hand speed and explosiveness.

About to post over on your thread about it.

Sweet. That threads been a massive flop so it will be nice to get someone other then myself to post in it. I hate Melvin, but he did a good job tonight. He may have the fastest hands in the LW division but I don't see him being a viable contender.
