He's not all that good but he has won a lot of matches he has no business winning and is rarely booked like crap. I have a hard time picturing him taking an absolutely clean loss to anyone other than The Undertaker.

Jericho got a bullshit escape win, one of the many reasons I can't stand most cage matches. Jericho never pinned Davey Boy clean to my knowledge, but Batista got a world title win over Jericho nobody thought he would. I recall Batista going over Orton is most of their major matches. Batista has gone over Cena, Triple H, and Undertaker all in clean and strong manners and he pretty much destroyed Shawn Michaels last year. Major clean wins over Eddie and Benoit in their peaks as well. I might be crazy, but I think he's booked EXTREMELY strong by the standards of this era.

ONS was more cage bullshit.
After all the weak Pay Per View finishes, Batista beat Edge clean and strong on SmackDown. It was like the first one after Vengeance I believe.

I'd agree if I had a better memory of his time in the midcard. But even then, he wasn't taking a ton of losses. I just don't recall his matches with Michaels in that time perfectly. Michaels may own one of the ONLY major clean losses over Batista ever. But really, once Batista hit his kayfabe stride, he DESTROYED Michaels last year. And Michaels needed to resort to low tactics and get a ref to hold Dave off to get a fluke win last year.
I really think if someone got behind Dave he'd be a strong pick.

The answer is no.
Batista was kayfabe injured at JD and bullshit cage escapes and count-outs are nothing compared to the thrashing Batista put on Edge following <either ONS or Vengeance> on Smackdown. I refuse to concede that Edge got a clean win over Dave.
The Jericho win was cage bullshit.

Depends. Are we talking clean p.p.v losses since he's become The Animal? (ie. 2005) Because if not, I'm pretty sure he's lost clean in 2002-04. (not sure about 02, if he was even on Pay per view yet, but I'm thinking he's lost clean in 03-04)
Armageddon 2002: Pinfall over Kane.
He was hardly on PPV at all in 2003. Just Armageddon.
Vengeance 2004: Pinfall over Jericho.
SummerSlam 2004: Triple threat. Edge beat Jericho.
Unfogiven 2004: Benoit and Regal beat Flair and Batista when Flair tapped out.
Survivor Series 2004 saw him get eliminated after getting hit with a title belt.
Michaels at Armageddon was his only clean PPV loss before he was a main eventer.

So fucking what? Look, I'm not trying to say you're talking pure shit at this point.. but to ramble on about how Batista's arguably never lost clean - then backtrack when people prove that's wrong only to say he was "kayfabe injured" is a bit much.
If he was real life injured I might bite. But you said it yourself, he was "storyline" injured. Which means he still lost. And cleanly at that. He lost to a roll-up, because Edge worked over the leg, and won off injuring it. Simple as.
If you're referring to the jackass beatdown he gave Edge the following night on Raw, that lead to C.M. Punk's cashing in.. then how can you consider that worth anything - yet refute Edge's 3 Pay per view victories? Please.
Considering that Edge is a heel.. and a roll-up is about the cleanest thing a Heel can do.. I'd consider that pretty fricken clean.
Batista's won "cage bullshit" as well, so I wouldn't talk much.
2004. Orton was face, Batista was the heel enforcer of Evolution. Orton beat Dave, loads of times, cleanly, building up to Orton/Trips - the Beginning.

If someone wants to have a kayfabe argument about "Wrestler A" vs. Batista, well bringing up JD07 would be poor salesmanship seeing as Batista has recovered from that injury. A good poster could sell it.
