Mid-Card Championship Winner
WrestleMania 30 was a great show, but it set a dark precedent. There were only 4 straight up matches on the show: Brock/Taker, Cena/Wyatt, Bryan/Orton and the Triple Threat. The rest were big multi-person matches, designed to get a lot of people on the show. They implied heavily that the Andre Battle Royal will be returning next year, quite possibly with even more participants.

So, who do you think will get the privilege of working the straight up matches?

I think there are four safe picks, which are based on the ones we got last year.

1. Brock Lesnar's Match:

He's being hyped up so hard after beating Undertaker, that I think it's almost certain he'll be entering main eventing the show, whether or not he has the WWE title. His most possibly opponents are:
(a) Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan
(b) Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock
(c) Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns
(d) Brock Lesnar vs. Cesaro
(e) Brock Lesnar vs. Batista

2. John Cena's match:

Now, John Cena could very well be the one sparring with Brock Lesnar in the main event. But I think they'll probably save him for his own match. I really doubt they'd put him up against any of the 3 Evolution members again at WrestleMania, but WWE has never shied away from rehashing old material. If he were to rematch with anybody, I'm thinking it would be:

(a) John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan (with the Bellas in each corner)
(b) John Cena vs. Cesaro
(c) John Cena vs. CM Punk

It looks like they've been avoiding Cena/Roman for the past year-and-a-half though, so it John Cena vs. Roman Reigns is also a strong possibility.

3. Batista's Match

With Batista's Hollywood celebrity taking off in the summer, I doubt they'll dump him into a big multi-man match at Mania. I bet he won't stand for it. That means he'll be working some sort of match. I think that of all the possible I mentioned above, Batista will get the leftovers. If Brock faces Roman, Batista faces Bryan. If Brock faces Bryan, Batista faces Roman. Of course, if both Brock and Cena take both of them, that leaves Batista to turn face and go at it with Randy Orton *shrug*.

(a) Batista vs. Roman Reigns
(b) Batista vs. Daniel Bryan
(c) Batista vs. Randy Orton

4. Triple H's Match:

This one is the hardest to pinpoint. I think that if CM Punk comes back, a worked shoot feud with Triple H is the way to go, but then again, that's what pissed CM Punk off in the first place. I'm guessing that Triple H will try and put over someone else at WrestleMania. People say that he's lost his ego, but with such a huge roster nowadays, it's a big deal to just have a singles match on the card. The fact that he'll be taking up a spot where we could have seen Seth vs. Dean instead, is cringe-worthy, in my opinion. But then again, he had a fantastic match with Bryan at Mania, so I won't complain too much. Now, who he can face is anyone's guess, but I doubt it will be Batista, Orton, Cena, Brock or Bryan, as he's already faced them all. That leaves:

(a) Triple H vs. CM Punk
(b) Triple H vs. Roman Reigns
(c) Triple H vs. Cesaro
(d) Triple H vs. Bray Wyatt
(e) Triple H vs. Sami Zayn (dark horse I know, but Bray debuted with a skyrocket up his ass last year, they could easily do that for Sami this year.)

--------------------

I'm leaning towards this card: Brock/Bryan, Cena/Cesaro, Triple H/Roman and Batista/Orton. That's gonna leave tons of people shoved into a bunch of multi-man matches.

Sheamus, Dolph, Del Rio, Seth, Ambrose, Bo, Bray and many others who deserve matches on the card are probably going to be left in the Andre Battle Royal along with quite possibly 40 other participants. If Punk or Rock, or both, come back, that's gonna leave Roman and Cesaro out as well, as I can't see Orton and Batista shoved down the card.

I think The Wyatt Family vs. Evolution would be a great idea if the Wyatts turn face. But I don't know if Batista, Orton and Triple H will be okay with six-man-tagging at WrestleMania. They've been doing it at the lesser PPVs, but I don't know how long that will last.

WWE could surprise us with a 5th singles match, but I think it's unlikely. Cody vs. Goldust, Seth vs. Dean, Rey vs. Sin Cara and plenty others sound like money midcard matches, but the fact that they are midcard matches means they're off the show.

WrestleMania doesn't do midcard anymore.

Brock Lesnar is not worthy of main-eventing a pay-per-view in my opinion. He's a welcome addition to events, but he doesn't shift the needle on buys anymore. He's also had only one great match since returning, with CM Punk. His other efforts range from merely good (John Cena), to dreadful (Big Show, all three bouts with the "legendary" Triple H).

He beat the streak, if you didn't realise. He is the Kayfabe #1 Uber-Superstar at the minute and brings in thousands of PPV buys. He needs to main event Pay Per Views, especially Wrestlemania 31.

Brock NOT at least co-main eventing WM31 would really just make the event terrible. I'm not a Brock mark by any stretch, but his kayfabe heat will be incredible when he returns.

Wit the exception of the Rock, Brock Lesnar is the biggest star in the entire company. He transcends the lines of sports entertainment and brings the product towards a more favorable main stream perception. The reason Brock ended the Streak is that he is legit. It makes perfect sense to ME the guy.

He beat the streak, but he wasn't around to say much about it or capitalise on his new-found momentum. The streak's done, everyone's over it. Next time Lesnar shows up, he'll have the same drawing power as he had last year, when he was roundly failing to spike buys. Lesnar's star burned out in 2012 when he was trounced by John Cena in his return and proceeded to have one of the worst matches of the decade with Triple H.

Brock Lesnar is not worthy of main-eventing a pay-per-view in my opinion.

If you're saying this because you don't think a part-timer "deserves" it, fine. That would be the only semi-legit argument you could make. Are you going to say that a full-time Lesnar wouldn't be worthy of main-eventing a PPV? That is beyond ridiculous. And we can all stop the "moving the needle" thing now since PPVs aren't really PPVs anymore.

Brock doesn't have to raise the buy rate needle for a 60 dollar ppv any more. He has to raise the needle on a 10 buck a month subscription. Wrestlemania sells itself. As for who I think he should face. Roman has my vote , but the Daniel Bryan Kurt Angle match will steal the show

People see through everything now. #1 Uberstar kayfabe doesn't matter. It still won't make buy rates explode. Nobody will make buy rates explode when people are not willing to buy the product, since they can get it for free, not to mention the WWE Network anyway.

Lesnar shouldn't be used for the title match, except if it is a triple threat match. We know he won't be getting the title so there is no real point. He can either be used in some kind of angle to elevate and make someone look good, but as you said, he has all the momentum so he needs to be used in some top tier feud. Basically, we need to find some kind of reason to believe that Lesnar can win the title.

I say so far with rumors and all the WrestleMania 31 main events as of now looks like
Roman Reigns vs The Rock (c) (WWE championship)-This would be the torch passing match. This match would make Roman;the "franchise" of WWE.This also would allow John to take a break.Rock to retire once and for all,it also gives The Rock his wish of putting ove Roman before retiring.
Brock Lesnar vs John Cena This is the only obstacle for Brock left is too beat Cena.He is the only guy Brock hasn't beat since coming back.I'm good friends with Brock and he said he wanted to beat Cena before leaving at WrestleMania 31.Besides I can't think of another opponent for either man except for "Stone Cold." But that won't happen.

Bray Wyatt vs Triple H -Bray is a star now imagine if he beats Trips at WrestleMania 31.Bray would definitely be legit. At WrestleMania 29 Hunter beat the man who beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30.Triple H can then join Rock,Taker,Brock,Sting, (and possibly Kane) in retirement.)

Bill Goldberg vs Cesaro -This match would easily be a MOTY candidate as well as the others. It will be Cesaro's strength vs Goldberg's intensity.Think about it this will be a crowd favorite.

Sting vs Undertaker-Farewell match for two legends, two childhood heroes of mine.It will definitely be the end of an era.

Other matches I see happening is

Rollins vs Ambrose (Grudge match) (after both leaves Evolution),Randy Orton vs Sami Zynn,The Accension vs Wyatt Family,Bryan vs Jericho or Angle,Bad News Barrett vs Sheamus vs Neville vs RVD (IC title),Thank You Taker Battle Royal

Bryan should either be in 3 matches next year....
1. Title match
2. Against angle
3. Against jericho

(The storyline for the bryan vs angle/Jericho fued would be who is the better wrestler which would start at slammys when bryan gets the award for best wrestler

Is this dreamcard or serious what we think will happen card?

Dreamcard: Bryan v. Jericho would be classic not even gonna lie!
Lesnar v. Cena to finish off their feud and let Lesnar go over!
Bray v. Reigns v. Orton(C) the 3 big factions of this year, have Reigns go over.
Rollins v. Cesaro just to give 2 guys who are about to be stars a match, Cesaro seems more ready for main event IMO so he can win.
Rock(if he's there) v. somebody xP idk who I'd want him fighting

WWE Title - Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns

Pretty certain this could happen at some point. A major passing of the torch and a star is born.

The Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt

A great feud here. There could be some really creepy promos and Bray could play up the fact he is only the second man to defeat Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

John Cena vs Rusev

Could make this an American vs Russia thing. Give it a strong build and some meaning.

Daniel Bryan vs Kurt Angle

Angles contract with TNA is up, if he doesnt join Double J then he will probably end up in WWE for that final run.

Batista vs Triple H

These two will square off at some point after their fall out. Draw it out until Mania 31.

Is this dreamcard or serious what we think will happen card?

It's supposed to be what will happen on the card, but if I was going to go with a dream card it would be:

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins (c)

Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar

The Wyatt Family vs. Evolution

John Cena vs. Rusev

"Goldust" Dustin Rhodes vs. "Stardust" Cody Rhodes

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Cesaro (c) vs. The Big Show

WWE Tag Team Championship Tables, Ladders and Chairs match
The Usos vs. Sin Cara and Kalisto vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel vs. The Ascension

WWE Diva's Championship Lumberjill match
AJ (c) vs. Paige

(Lumberjills: Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, Bailey, Becky Lynch, Brie Bella, Cameron, Charlotte, Emma, Eva Marie, Jojo, Kendall Skye, Layla, Naomi, Natalya, Nikki Bella, Rosa Mendes, Sasha Banks, Summer Rae, Tamina & Veronica Lane)

31-Man Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
(Adam Rose, Adrian Neville, Alberto Del Rio, Bad News Barrett, Big E, Bo Dallas, Christian, Curtis Axel, Darren Young, David Otunga, Diego, Dolph Ziggler, Fandango, Fernando, The Great Khali, Jack Swagger, Kane, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, The Miz, Mojo Rawley, R-Truth, Ryback, Sami Zayn, Santino Marella, Sheamus, Titus O'Neil, Tyler Breeze, Tyson Kidd, Xavier Woods & Zack Ryder)

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to be trying to predict Wrestlemania 31 cards.
Obviously WWE are going to play up Brock Lesnar as one of the co-main events after ending the Streak last year. Brock Lesnar may well go into this years Wrestlemania with the WWE World Title. Rumours already of Lesnar vs Reigns for the belt.
John Cena being in a down the card match this year will see him in a main event spot next year, against who is anybodies guess. Im tipping John Cena vs Cesaro could be a rock solid match in 9 months time.
Think I will wait until after Royal Rumble to bother with this thread.

Every year there is 4 to 5 main events at WrestleMania. Wrestlemania 31 is around the corner.Summerslam is coming up and it will set the tone for WrestleMania. So this year will be the first 'real' WrestleMania of the "Reality" era. This year will be may/will be the last WrestleMania for some legends The Undertaker,Brock Lesnar,Triple H,The Rock. This will also be the first or second big Mania match for others such as Roman Reigns,Dean Ambrose,Cesaro,Bray Wyatt,Bad News Barrett. With rumors of the future taking their new spots at WrestleMania 31 what do you think the main events will look like. THIS ISN'T BOOK THE WHOLE CARD JUST THE MAIN EVENTS.

I think we will see
Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns (WWE hvt. title)
This match appears to be a compete lock. Brock holds the title hostage and everyone is either too scared to face him or loses to him. Roman wins the Royal Rumble after last eliminating Dean Ambrose and calls out Brock the next night on Raw and say's he isn't everyone else. While Roman waits for Brock to return he feuds with Cesaro. After defeating Cesaro at Elimination Chamber, Paul Heyman gives a phony congrats speech. Brock from behind F-5's Roman making his return (if he doesn't compete in the chamber match). Roman defeats Brock becoming the new face of WWE. The next night Dean attacks Roman turning heel. But that is a different story for a different time.

Backup champion
  • John Cena -seeing how he is the real face of WWE right now. This match has also been teased quite a bit.
  • The Rock -If you beat The Rock you are a star for life. What better person to pass the torch to you than Rock.

Triple H vs Dean Ambrose (No Holds Barred) -This story writes itself. Triple H tries his best to screw Dean but it doesn't work. Dean finally snaps on Triple H at TLC and get's arrested. Royal Rumble Dean returns but get's tossed out by Roman Reigns at the end. The next night Dean calls out Triple H but he sends out Kane. Dean destroys Kane, then Randy comes out and get's destroyed. He get's his hands on Triple H again and get's fired. He tells Hunter if he fires him he will make his life a living hell. Dean kidnaps Stephanie and tells him he can get her back if he comes and meet him and sign the contract for a match at WrestleMania. Triple H meets him in an alley and he is looking for Dean. Stephanie runs up and hugs Hunter and Dean out of nowhere attacks him and lays him out and takes his hand and forces him to sign the contract. After WrestleMania Dean turn heel on Roman for eliminating him in the Royal Rumble. He say's Roman has done nothing but hogged the spotlight since The Shield ended and he is sick of it.Again another story for another time.

John Cena or Randy Orton vs.Seth Rollins
One of two thing happen here. Randy turns face on The Authority and feuds with Rollins as been teased or John Cena feuds with Seth and puts him over at WrestleMania.

Bray Wyatt vs Batista- This doesn't seem realistic but I bet it happens. Batista is set to return as a face. I see these two feuding when Bray and family attacks Batista for being a liar and not really liking the business or something like that.

If Taker is able to compete and Sting debuts I also see that happening.I can also see Cesaro vs Daniel Bryan since WWE wants Cesaro to be in a big match.I also see this because they wouldn't bury Bryan. If Punk and Goldberg returns I also see Punk vs Goldberg.I can also see Angle vs Barrett.

What I'd like to see:

WWE World Heavyweight Title: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns (Royal Rumble Winner). Same build up as the OP.

Triple H vs Bray Wyatt: Wyatt eventually turns face and begins feuding with the Authority. This leads to Triple H getting involved personally and this match happening.

John Cena vs Cesaro: Have them come face to face during the Rumble maybe and start the feud from there. Cesaro beating Cena at Mania would be huge for him.

WWE Intercontinental Title: Seth Rollins(c) vs Daniel Bryan vs Dean Ambrose. I feel like this match could steal the show. Have Rollins win the IC title sometime between SummerSlam and the Rumble while still holding the MITB briefcase. Rollins can drop the title at SummerSlam so he can begin to focus on cashing in against Roman Reigns sometime after Mania.

Randy Orton vs Batista: The match that was supposed to happen at Wrestlemania 30. Have Batista return as a face and go after Orton.

2nd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal: Good way to include guys like Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, The Miz & Kane on the card. I'd like to see Dolph Ziggler win it and get a push.

WWE Tag Team Titles: The Wyatts(c) vs The Ascension. Wyatts turn face with Bray and Ascension debuts sometime around Survivor Series. The two teams cross paths at the Royal Rumble.

WWE Diva's Title: AJ Lee(c) vs Stephanie McMahon. Have AJ eventually get on the bad side of The Authority, leading to this match.

Wale4real i like all your matches. But i dont see Orton or cena putting over Rollins. Also i think bray will be better as the face in a feud with Batista as the fans won't really cheer Batista. I think i'd be more interested in the hhh vs dean Ambrose scenario as the kidnapping and alley beating sounds badass

The MAIN EVENT I think would be awesome as Rock Vs. Reigns just for the story they could build off it it but it would require one of the two to turn heel and really I just don't think thats feasible at this point. So the most reasonable choices imo are:

Main Event - Brock Lesnar Vs. Daniel Bryan(c). I don't really think having Brock go into any event as champ is worth it because he will not appear enough times due to his schedule so I think him challenging and then winning at WM is the best way to go at it. Brock stands tall at the end of WM with both championships in hand with Cesaro and Paul Heyman both by his side. The next night Daniel says he's taking his championship rematch at Extreme Rules and so that match can happen with a cash in on a victorious Brock. Rollins is the new champ after breaking from the authority at WM.

Co Main Event - Orton Vs. Rollins, the clash of egos between the two has led to a match on the grandest stage of all and Rollins turns face. After being called "plan B" rather than plan A and the face of the company Rollins goes out to make a name for himself and successfully beats Orton .

HHH Vs. Ambrose - I love the idea of Ambrose kidnapping Steph and demanding a match at WM it works VERY WELL with his character and gets him a great rub (not that all three members havent had a great rub)

Cena Vs. Cesaro - The rise of the Heyman guys continue as Cena is eliminated in the RR by Cesaro, he is also eliminated by Cesaro in the Elimination chamber match which sets up a feud between him and Cena. Cena probably goes over in the match while still putting over Cesaro in a big way.

Reigns Vs. Bray Wyatt - The Wyatt family occasionally work as henchmen of sorts for the authority so I could see them costing Reigns the RR win and EC win etc., This is a future WM main event caliber match but I think this could work as a co main event as well. I think Reigns wins the match but both men still go over.

And Sting vs. Undertaker.

Of course, Undertaker's retired, despite no announcement being made. And Sting has no relationship whatsoever with WWE, despite multiple WWE Network appearances, A DVD and being the pre-order bonus of WWE 2K15.

sting vs undertaker will happen at wm31 mark my words. Its the only reason sting has signed. Do the big wm match then hang up his boots, very fitting especially being in his home state of Cali.

With WrestleMania 31 around the corner WWE seems to be building between 1 of 2 matches. Triple H vs John Cena II or Triple H vs Dean Ambrose. No matter what I think this should be the year Triple H finally retires. Both of these matches or dream matches none the less. But I think we should go with something fresh and that would be Triple H vs Dean Ambrose. If you thought Bryan/HHH's rivalry was good or if you thought HHH/Punk's rivalry was good you ain't seen nothing yet. With Dean's badass alley gimmick I honestly am wanting him over Roman as the face of WWE. The future is bright and I am loving it. Roman as the top face, Dean as the top heel, Bray as the errie guy, Eric as the Kane, Haper as The Undertaker,Cesaro as the Brock Lesnar, Zynn as Mysterio. This era could even become the best since the attitude era. Now WWE also have a mini-rivalry between Triple H/John Cena going as well. Let's be honest this won't end at no minor PPV. With Summerslam approaching and Cena going against Lesnar it makes it unlikely. Only one place can hold the bout between these two legends and that is WrestleMania. But it's been down before, we need something new. We all know the WWE seems to use the PPV's with the #0 in it as the passing of the torch and #1 in it as the torch receiving. It is time to receive the torch. This feud needs to just slowly desolve betweem Cena and Hunter. What makes no sense to me is how in December they was still buddy buddy despite Triple H being heel and now they hate each other.Any ways this is how I would book both feuds...

Stephanie runs up and hugs Hunter and Dean out of nowhere attacks him and lays him out and takes his hand and forces him to sign the contract. After WrestleMania Dean turn heel on Roman for eliminating him in the Royal Rumble. He say's Roman has done nothing but hogged the spotlight since The Shield ended and he is sick of it.This would be perfect and awesome and new and fresh. It also fits in with the reality era. We can get two badass cerebral assassin's squaring off. Instead of getting "Corporate Superman" vs "The Corporate ass kisser."

Triple H vs John Cena (Career vs Career; Loser retires) (Hell In A Cell) - John Cena get's "injured" in the Summerslam match with Lesnar (really takes time off to do film the rest of this new movie.) He returns 3 weeks before Royal Rumble and snaps and beats the hell out of Triple H and say's "enough is enough, I tried to be nice but now i'm going to beat your ass." Brock sneaks up on him and hits F-5 and puts in the Kimura while Triple H tells him he will face Lesnar for the belt at Royal Rumble in a No DQ match. Roman makes the save and Brock let's go of Cena's arm. The two stare off and then they brawl to end Raw. Roman get's on the mic and say's he doesn't like a bully and he doesn't like Brock Lesnar. That will explain why he got involved and also further his match with Brock at WrestleMania. Triple H comes down and get's in Roman's face and say's how dare him. Roman beats down Triple H and Brock makes the save; Cena evens the odds.

Royal Rumble- John Cena def. Brock Lesnar by DQ when Triple H get's involved. Roman Reigns wins the Royal Rumble. This writes both of them out the storyline.

Raw- The next night John Cena calls out Triple H for WrestleMania he say's he willing to put anything on the line even his own career. Triple H accepts and then Vince McMahon appears on stage he tells Triple H that at WrestleMania the two will face off indeed. But Cena's career isn't the only one on the line. To make it fair both of them will put their career's on the line. He say's and to make sure there is no funny business it will be inside Hell In A Cell.

First, WrestleMania is "right around the corner"? WM XXX was held on April 6. Today is July 7. WM XXXI will be held on March 29, 2015. That 8.5 months away.

Second, the fact that (hypothetically) HHH could be in a high profile match at WrestleMania will continue to give ammo to the people (myself included) who say that the man simply cannot trade his in wrestling gear for a suit, cannot let go of his ego, and cannot let the younger wrestlers have their WrestleMania moments. I agree that the man can tell a story in the ring, but I've always said that HHH was the man who worked with the Franchise (if you will) flag bearer. To me, it just seems that with his increased pull backstage, Raw begins with a 30 minute HHH/Steph soliloquy, culminating with HHH & Co. standing over his arch nemesis at the end of the show. HHH gets to be in the main event of the monthly PPV, usually making himself look good, and never taking the pin. HHH spares no expense when preparing his "grand entrance" at WrestleMania each year, which brings me back to the OP's question of HHH at WM XXXI. If they don't start finding some new performers that draw (which is what HHH's job now is), WWE is screwed; you can't throw the Shield & the Wyatt Family out there for an hour on each televised show and think it's kosher. With respect to HHH at WM XXXI, I hope he's off the card, and he lets the younger talent shine.

HHH is probably five years from retiring.

He's a brilliant match architect, and he can still actually go in the ring. His promos are in the top few on the roster, and there isn't much talent wise better than him.

John Cena is at least 10 years from retirement. Probably closer to 15, depending on how he treats his body. He can still go almost like it was 12 years ago. HIS promos are in the top of the roster, and there isn't much talent wise better than him.

Why in the WORLD you would want a HHH v. Cena retirement match is beyond me. Everyone laments the fact that the WWE roster is devoid of main event talent, but then someone wants one of them to lose a retirement match. It makes no sense.

HHH v. Ambrose makes no sense either. If HHH is going to fight Roman Reigns at Summerslam or at Night of Champions, why would he voluntarily drop down to the midcard for Ambrose? I mean, Ambrose will have a great career, but he won't be at Roman Reigns level by WM 31.

I want a HHH match at WM31, and let's be honest, he's basically one of the few true old school talents left on the roster, but it can't be against the Shield former members, and it most certainly won't be against Cena. If anything, it will be against a younger superstar, hopefully someone can step up from the NXT roster like Bo or Adam Rose or someone and stop failing at the gimmicks they give. Maybe HHH v. Bray Wyatt, which I think would be fun, since they either have to turn Bray face or make him a real heel. Bray getting face pops is fucking annoying.

Actually Ambrose vs. Triple H does make sense. Dean the rebel who is out for revenge. First he takes care of Rollins, then Kane, then Orton. Triple H starts screwing him out of #1 contender matches, title matches TLC Ambrose stops Hunter and attacks him. Besides the whole point would be to make Dean a legit main eventer like Reigns is now and Rollins is in the making of. At some point someone has to put him over to main event status. Or did you think they just magically became main-eventers
