Main Gimmick: An obsessed wrestling fan. When TIW is not watching wrestling, he’s discussing it online. When he’s not doing either of those, he is hiding his obsession from his friends and family due to fear of embarrassment.

2 Characteristics of Gimmick: a. obsessed wrestling fan b. embarrassed to share his love with those close to him

Strengths/Weaknesses (3 of each):
Weaknesses
1. Not a trained wrestler. He can keep up with some wrestling sequences, but can be outclassed by very skilled technicians.
2. As an obsessive fan, TIW can often become “star-stuck” and lose his focus and freeze in the middle of a match.
3. Doesn’t have the greatest stamina, due to a severe lack of in-ring experience

Strengths
1. He may become “star-struck” in matches, but his fandom also allows TIW to know his opponents almost better than they know themselves and can counter signature maneuvers because of it.
2. Exceptional knee strikes. TIW fell in love with knee strikes once he discovered Japanese wrestling, most notably KENTA. The rest of his strikes are average, but his knee strikes are lethal.
3. Very quick/evasive

Brief History: TIW has been a wrestling fan for as long as he can remember. A few years ago, he discovered the depth of wrestling information and discussion available on the Internet, and his fandom grew into a full-on obsession. TIW became a walking encyclopedia of wrestling and wrestling forum knowledge. When he attended a local indy show being put on by a promoter that had become very familiar with TIW, he was asked if he would be willing to be an extra body in a show-opening battle royal. He agreed, put on his mask, and made his in-ring debut that night, and hasn’t turned back since.

Entrance Music: 2nd Sucks by A Day to Remember

Entrance Description: The lights dim as the music begins to play. The song yells “Fight!” and the lights begin strobing and switching between yellow and white. The Internet Warrior comes out from behind the curtain and slowly walks up the ramp, turning as he walks and taking it all in as he heads toward the ring. He climbs in the ring and stands in the center, facing the hard camera with his right hand and index finger pointing straight in the air.

Finishing Moves:
Time 4 Bed or TFB - (Go 2 Sleep, KENTA style)
Perma-Ban - (Tornado Guillotine Choke)

15 Most Used Moves: (No finishers, 3 signature moves):
Busaiku Knee - (Flying Knee Strike ala KENTA)
Slingshot Knee Drop
Post Count – (Dropkick to the knee followed by running double knees to opponent’s head)
Knee strikes to the head of a downed opponent
DDT
Figure 4 necklock
Stinger splash
Running senton back splash
Hangman’s neckbreaker
Tiger suplex
La magistral roll-up
Top rope elbow drop
Northern Lights suplex (bridging and/or release)
Slingshot crossbody (to the ring or floor)
Hesitation dropkick

Sample RP:

We open with a camera shot of the back of a man’s head, the head partially covered by short, dark brown hair. The man is staring at a computer screen with a Youtube video of wrestling playing. Without any indication of ever turning away from the action on his computer, the man begins to speak.

Millions of people around the world consider themselves fans of pro wrestling, myself included. But what happens when that fandom evolves into a full-fledged obsession? What happens when a fan goes from knowing the results from last Monday night, to knowing the entire pay-per-view history of every man on the roster? You end up with someone like me.

He pauses for a moment and reaches for something toward the edge of his desk, head never turning away from the screen.

When I’m not watching wrestling, I’m discussing it on online forums. When I’m at the gym or in the car and can’t do either of those, I listen to wrestling podcasts and interviews. Even with all of that exposure, my addiction still isn’t satisfied. That’s where this comes in.

The bell rings for the match on the computer and the man begins putting the mask he grabbed from the end of his desk. Once it is securely on his head, he spins around and faces the camera.

I am The Internet Warrior, and it is time for me to take everything I have learned sitting at this desk and put it to use inside a real wrestling ring in front people who love wrestling, just like me.
