The Greatest Titantron Video of All Time

Simply put, in your opinion what is the single greatest WWE titantron video of all time? We've had HUNDREDS, maybe even over a thousand different WWE superstars since the early days (maybe, don't know but it's definitely over 500). This will probably either be a one sided affair, or maybe many different decisions on all your guy's parts. Does everyone agree Undertaker has the greatest titantron video of all time? Or does that distinction go to Stone Cold Steve Austin? Or maybe you're all alone and think Billy & Chuck had a great titantron video?

Here are the rules:

1. Must have had the video for at least a year. We all know some superstars come and go and go rather quickly. And some even have their video changed within that time frame. (I believe Johnny Curtis and Drew McIntyre's first video is in that demographic.)

2. Please include the name of the song they used at the time. Anyone could say Wade Barrett's entrance video, but is it such a great entrance video with that horrible song he currently has, or does End of Days capture him better? (that answer is yes)

3. Remember it can be from ANY era. It'd be nice to have some mixed answers, not just the Attitude Era people. I'd like some 80's and 00's up in this bitch!

4. Since this is Titantron video, it isn't limited to just superstars. It can include any RAW, or Smackdown, (and the rest) titantron.

There you have it. Seems like a new thread idea, and a good one. Hope to see a lot of responses. My answer for those interested is Edge's titantron with Rob Zombie's Never Gonna Stop (The Red, Red Kroovy) as his theme. Seriously awesome.

One side note: This isn't greatest entrance of all time, Titantron, so if for example you pick The Undertaker because of his iconic entrance, you're picking him solely for the wrong reason, pick for VIDEO and SONG only. There's already a thread for greatest entrance, I believe Undertaker won that one. lol

I would have to say hands down the DX video of attitude era, original DX with HBK and HHH the half naked chicks, crowd rushing the chain link fence. It just summed up what their team was about and got me so pumped every time you heard the 'Break it Down!'.

Hands down they get my vote!

I'm going with Ministry Taker 'Lord of Darkness Evil theme' The one where he's speaking in tongues and becoming your savior. The vid is amazing with him on the throne in his awesome black hooded robe surrounded by candles and fire and reading from the book of curses and so on. its sweet.

First, I have to get my Attitude Era choice out of the way. So I'll give you one from this era, and one from another.

Test's Attitude Era video kicked ass! You had the black and white theme with the countdown. He just looked so pissed when he argued with the ref and beat the hell out of his opponents. Plus that music, "Test test, this is a test". Everything just fit so perfect with this guy.

For my next choice I'd go with the Randy Orton from about 2004. He had just disbanded from Evolution, and his career was really beginning to take off. He had the World title, and the video features clips of him with women and the clip of him spitting in HHH's face. I never really liked Randy, except for this one particular time when he broke from Evolution and became the top face. The music, "Burn in My Light" went well with it too. I miss that song!! "Hey, nothing you can say!"

I wouldn't say it's the greatest, but my personal favourite titantron The Dudley Boyz "We're Comin' Down" theme, I used to know all the words as a kid, ahaha. There's nothing too special about the video, I just always loved the Dudley Boyz.

I'd probably have to rank D-Generation X's titantron as the best ever, coupled with "Break It Down" it was just a great tron that never gets old.

And since you mentioned it, OP, my favourite opening theme to any show would have to be the 2006 - 2008(?) SmackDown! theme, Rise Up.

******ed stipulations....the fan needs to know the name of the song that the wrestler used? Most fans don't know/care/know where to look to see the name of the song that their fave superstar uses. My favorite titantron and song was Beverly Bros....what is the name of that song, smart guy?

Which one, the first theme or the second theme? The first theme is called "Brothers" and the second is called "New Beverly Brothers." I only know this because I collect wrestling music, but I'm sure most fans probably don't unless they're on CD or something. But now you know the name of those themes.


Anyway, they've already been mentioned, but my favorites are the original DX video with HBK and HHH, "Break It Down" always fit them perfectly and the video with the naked chicks and all. Good stuff.

My all time favorite would be Undertaker's Ministry tron. It also has my favorite Undertaker theme ever, "Ministry." There were a few different versions of that theme, but the one I'm talking about has the talking in tongues and he says "Accept the Lord of Darkness as your savior." That was spine tingling awesome. Gives me goosebumps when I hear it.

I was actually about to post that one myself. haha. Val Venis's theme and video were hilarious. Last year, it because a running gag with my roommates and I because we couldn't get that harsh, gritty saxophone tune out of our heads. haha. So, my answer is also Val Venis. And I'll say his original porn Titantron.

Also Mick Foleys titantron from 1999-2005 because that car crash sound and video was epic as well seeing heaps of hardcore Foley footage.

WWE Desire...Lonely Road Of Faith by Kid Rock. The history showed in the five minutes of this video is incredible. I would think that anybody who saw the video would want to go out and check out some matches by most of the legends shown.

I think that Triple H has definitely had some of the best entrance videos, since he has been using the Motorhead "The Game" theme. It just seems to me that WWE have put so much more effort into Hunter's titantron videos than pretty much any other wrestler.

I love the "START GAME" at the beginning of the video, with all the green flashing lights, and the cool HHH symbol that keeps popping up throughout is awesome. Add in the clips of HHH surrounded by all the women, the sledgehammer shots, the pedigrees and the clips of his opponents all bloody and you have one of the best titantrons of all time.

The D-Generation X titantron back in the day was brilliant too, with the crowd pushing up against a fence, it really gave you the sense that a riot was going to happen and that these guys were new and exciting. I liked how the camera would switch between the video and clips of DX coming to the ring, I had never seen that before.

Maybe not my all time favourite, but defs gotta' include Jericho's debut titantron when he interrupted the Rock. He changed it pretty quickly but the first tron was awesome - The slow beat building up, the vocals hitting with scenes of the street lights passing by, the kid throwing his hands in the air, then suddenly... "BREAK THE WALLS DOOOOOOOOWN!!"

So surreal, it's something you could watch over and over again but still get chills.

This is the greatest ever Vid and Song in my opinion. This was Austin at the peak of his carrear. His music didn't have Lyrics when he first came to WWE. Although his earlier Themes were still good i preferred the Disturbed Theme much more.

Definitely Val Venis for me. Fantastic theme, great gimmick. I love the bit where he comes through the bush wearing a purple helmet, pure class. DX was awesome too. I liked Undertaker's Ministry titantron and theme too. That was probably my favourite Undertaker incarnation.

For me its the Evolution theme In the Sand by Motorhead. The song just fit the group and starting at the 1 minute mark they enter a club and what ensues is the best thing ever captured in an entrance theme. I remember always hoping for an extended camera time on the titantron just to see it.

I have to go with the DX attitude era titantron video. That with the Break It Down song just embodied DX totally at that time. I wanted to think of something non attitude era, but in this case I had to go with this one. It is by far the best in my book.

even though im breakin your criteria here, im gonna have to say the nWo titantron when they came back in 2002, i LOVE how it would just co e out of nowhere and cut into the broadcast feed, the only thing they improved upon with the nWo, and i loved how it was black and whit for the whole entrance, and the flicker of entrance vid u saw before it panned to the entrance way always reflected the current members along with the nazi ish propoganda, really got the message across of what the nWo was SUPPOSED to be about
