I only got it because it was 3 for £10 and I couldn't see a third CD I wanted. It was this or some rap shit. I have to say I'm impressed. For one, bar Cradle Of Filth it's not really goth stuff. It's just a little moody. Well it's not what I thought goth music was. But it's really pretty good. The other two CD's I bought, Juno and the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack are shite.

What no Bauhaus and No Siouxie and the Banshees and it calls itself a Goth Anthology. Pathetic. And then on top of that there is nothing from The Cure. Bauhaus and the Cure define Goth Rock.

There really isn't much on there that I would consider goth music. It's still an awesome compliation.

I think The Cure are a bit too popular for a collection like this. The set is cheap, just kind of thrown together. I get the impression it was always a cheap CD. Never chart material.

I'm with Shadow, no Bauhaus? Seriously? They're only like THE DEFINITIVE goth rock band and all.

Good stuff on there nontheless, Alien Sex Fiend, The Damned, Psychedelic Furs, and Adam & the Ants are good stuff.

Some of that isn't even goth in the slightest though. How the fuck are the Psychedelic Furs even remotely gothic? ROFL

Apparently if it's from the 80s, and sounds moody and dark, that means its goth music. If that's the case though, shouldn't this box set be filled to the brim with Depeche Mode?
