The careers for certain people after the Wrestling career is over is a whole thread in one. As I've seen lives go down hill when I read certain news. Kurt Angles addiction is his personal issue, but thats not the thread topic today. When I see a guy after his wrestling stint is over become a role model to others to keeping a healthy life style and the individual helps others. When I watched the YouTube video on this guy I became very inspired. Here's the YouTube link.

This guys life was a inspiration just waiting to help others. DDP did something to help others live the life they wanted. I truly believe that DDP could do another run. This could be another wwe project like The anti bullying campaign and others Like breast cancer awareness that is in my opinion a fantastic thing. DDP has a healthy life with yoga. I wouldn't mind DDP returning to a part time contract and wrestle. Like Rvd Or Chris Jericho. I feel like it's a good idea if DDP does it. If he wants to return to the ring and put over some guys then I'm all for it.

1. Do you think WWE should help out with this project if there not?

Logan_Punisher Out.

I feel if he were to come back it should only be as a short term manager for someone, maybe even have him manage Ricardo Rodriguez if he were to feud with ADR a little longer, since he started off as an announcer/manager in the 80's. Although I do see RR turning heel and joining ADR again it would still be funny to see because DDP was quite the comedian.

his in-ring run in 2001-02 was nothing short of shitful. WWE buried him from the get-go. He could be a brilliant colour commentator or even manager in the current day WWE, but his in-ring career does not need resurrecting, in my opinion.

Why did you number your question?

And no, because it's awful. He is 57 or so years old and hasn't done anything in the ring lately to warrant a comeback. He got buried practically from the first moment he walked into WWE. What does he have going for him that makes you think he should return? Motivational speaking?

I see no problem with him being a guest color commentator, or even manage a wrestler on the roster. But with his age seeing him take the spot of someone a lot younger and with more potential is a very very Bad Thing.

Gotta agree with everyone else on this one. The guy is 57 now, he would add nothing to the current product and would take away a spot of someone younger.

Need to remember that WWE has spent the last 3 years trying to make new stars to replace the last generation, and putting in people like DDP, even in the short-term, would hurt that progress. I loved DDP's stuff in WCW, but I think this would be a wholly unnecessary move.

Also DDP Yoga has really took off the past couple of years and he loves doing it, so i'm sure he feels no need to return either.

I was never a huge fan of Page, but I do have a lotta respect for the guy. He hit his stride in wrestling during an age when the careers of most other wrestlers starts to go downhill and he worked really hard in whatever he was put in. All in all, even though he's 57 years old, he's probably healthier than half the WWE roster due to his practice of yoga.

As for a return, I don't really see him bringing much to the table at this point aside from a nostalgia pop. Healthy or not, it's not really WWE's practice to put guys Page's age in the ring anymore. I could see Page as a commentator but, all in all, I think WWE has a good line up overall. I wouldn't mind seeing Jerry Lawler replaced because I'm just tired of listening to 20 years of corny, outdated jokes. However, I think Page's devotion is to DDP Yoga and to helping guys in the business get their lives straight.

I was a big fan of Page but I don't have any interest in seeing him return part-time. Maybe once a year or so when WWE trots out all their legends as he's a fresher face compared to the usual guys they bring back. But I don't see how bringing him back part time would achieve anything. The kids don't know who he is and it won't put anybody over if they beat him.

More importantly though, DDP does so much good outside the ring in helping wrestlers stay healthy mentally and physically that it'd be a shame for him to lose focus on that by committing to dates.

At 57, he can return in a non-wrestling role, but nothing else. Even taking an occasional shot from another wrestler could aggravate that neck injury that caused WWE to terminate his employment in the first place. Even a limited run as an in-ring performer could put him in a wheelchair if those problems are real.....and if they weren't real, why would the company have sacked him?

On the other hand, WWE likes to bring back personalities from the past; especially ones who can get as much done with their personalities as their exploits in the ring. I see no reason not to see what trouble he can stir up as an announcer or a manager.

I mean, why not? He is DDP.

I can see veteran wrestlers near the end of their careers putting over the young talent, but a 57 year old man? What kind of rub does an up and comer get from beating an old man? There would be nothing to gain from beating DDP, so he can't put anyone over. And if they let Page beat anyone, it'd ruin their runs in the WWE.

Now, what I can see out of DDP is being one of the best heel managers in the business. Remember, he managed Badd Company, Curt Hennig and Colonel DeBeers in AWA and also The Freebirds in WCW. DDP is one guy that can generate heat just from talking and that could do wonders for a lot of WWE's roster. Plus, he's in pretty good shape now (for somebody his age). He could take a few bumps if needed.

If not DDP, WWE desperately needs a good heel talking piece. As good as Paul Heyman is, he can't manage EVERY heel. Page would fit in there like a glove.

I voted no simply because of his age, he wasn't that great in his prime let alone 10 or 11 years after he actively stopped working. Don't get me wrong he wasn't awful by the end of his career and he obviously worked his butt off to get better, because he was pretty bad in the early 90's. A lot of the credit there would go to Savage and Benoit who worked loads with him and as proven with a plethora of guys, you can't help but get better if you work with good workers.

Another reason why I don't think he'd be back is, that when they brought all the guys in last summer to squash Slater he didn't even work a match and just did the diamond cutter, which is pretty telling to be honest.

The commentator role would be an interesting one however, at this point it's never going to happen. The tried and tested way for colour guys is to take them straight from in the ring to behind the announcers desk, it worked for Ventura, Lawler and most recently JBL. Besides there really is no need for a new colour commentator right now. Once Lawler is phased out I think they'll just stick with a two man booth since Cole and JBL have a pretty decent chemistry.

i didnt realise he was 57 and a lot of wrestlers seem to have much longer active careers then other sports stars do but i think 57 is pushing it a bit and yes i know pro wrestling is preplanned and isnt a real competitive sport but its obviously very physically and mentally demanding.although id assume hes in pretty good shape because of his yoga and whatever so i dont see why he couldnt show up from time to time if he wanted to in rumbles and such.i wouldnt mind seeing him as a regular in a different role though.i mostly remember him from the last years of wcw and his largely disliked run in the wwe so i dont know much more about his career tbh but i def thought he was a character and could make a great manager, interviewer.ect

DDP's best days were his feud with Savage. He NEVER should have been anywhere near the top title in WCW. For all net te and purposes, he was the George Steele of the 2000s. Savage made a great foil and carried DDP to great matches. The second him, Steiner and Booker ended up in the title picture, it showed just how thinned out the 'main event' had become in WCW.

As much as people bitch about how he was treated in the E upon his entry, he was given a top program with a top guy. It was more than he truly deserved. He got jobbed hard to the Taker, which is EXACTLY what should have happened. DDP was one of few that stuck around after the buy out, well good for him. But given who was on the E roster, he got the role he deserved in a spot on the card that was above him.

Now, as far as a comeback, if they want,to parade Jake and Scott to the ring for a Rumble appearance and have DDP go with them, then fine, but nothing more than that.

The amount of talent at the moment is far greater than what DDP can offer. Giving spots to him instead of other young wrestlers who need it and can take advantage of it and create more buzz and entertainment is a hands down better way to go. I can't vote yet, but my answer is no. He was never the big time player, so one more run to anything with him being involved will be a waste of time.

How about hiring the younger independent talent all over the world who can add more value to the WWE? Wait a second....

Nothing against DDP. Love what he's done. It's great for promotional use which is a surprise to me that WWE hasn't taken advantage of. He's not Jericho or Van Dam. He sure as hell isn't Rock, Brock, or Undertaker. It doesn't really mean much defeating DDP.

normally I would say no to this,
But after seeing him on HBO Real Sports, there are a lot of people that could use his help, current and former wrestlers.
He's gotten Jake and Scott to a somewhat normal place(for now?)
He can still be gold on the mic as a manager.

Jesus hes 57. I never realized that, he doesn't even look that old. But then again Check Norris is in his 70's and he looks like he's in his 40s. Imo his best days are behind him, if he comes back to put over some talent like Booker T did then I am all up for it and maybe him in a manager type of role but nothing long term though.
