Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's Supermod!
The aim of this new series is to spark debate on which consoles you liked/didn't like. I am taking the stance of going through the console generations and haviing you guys decide the best. This will start from generation 3 (as I doubt many of you will have played before that) will go to the seventh generation, and I will also do one just on handhelds. In order to be in this thread the console needs to have been released on all three major territories.
So generation three;
Nintendo Entertainment system
-v-
Sega Master System
Which do you feel has had the biggest effect?
The NES brought us games such as Mario, Kirby, Zelda, Metroid, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior.
The Master System brought us Alexx the Kidd, Wonder Boy and of course a few Sonic games.
The NES sold 61.91 million copies worldwide.
The Master System sold 13 million.
So which console did you have? Which did you love? Did you like both?
My personal choice is obvious in that it's the NES. The NES in my opinion saved gaming from a disaster and has brought many characters that are still a part of my gaming experience today. I can list twenty classics off the top of my head, but would struggle for five on the Master System (incidently, Sonic made his debut on the MegaDrive/Genesis and not the MasterSystem)
