Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's Supermod!
Whilst generation three brought gaming into homes, it was the fourth generation that rocketed it to the next level.
So generation three;
Super Nintendo Entertainment system
-v-
Sega Genesis/MegaDrive
Which do you feel has had the biggest effect?
The SNES brought us Star Fox and Mario Kart as well as expanding on the previous franchises.
The Genesis brought us Sonic as well as some classic RPGs such as Phantasy Star.
The SNES sold 49 million copies worldwide.
The MegaDrive sold 29 million.
Back in the day the MegaDive was my console of choice, probably because I had a lot of games for it, games such as Sonic, SHining force, Golden Ax, Aletered Beast...classic games that I just loved to play!
Recently, my mind has changed on this and I feel the SNES is the better of the two...Super Mario World, A link to the past, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong among some classic games. It was the SNES that also brought shoulder buttons to console gaming
