The Forgotten draft-ties....

Crimson Bonez

Been a peep since 2004
ok this is my 1st new thread so dont bash me if its horrible, but we got the draft and the supplementary draft and got some good 1s and alot of pointless 1's that broke up tag teams and created more jobbers, so my question is what happend to the left over draft-ties that should have ben drafted, im talking about elijah burke, miz, morrison, nattie, victoria....

Burke: has some good skill and is just either jobbing on ecw or not getting TV time at all, i think he just needs a adapt a 2nd-dary finisher, and either get him off their or get him back in the ME on ECW

Nattie and Victoria: beth pheniox needs some other good ppl to fued with and in my opinion, beth, mickie, nattie, and victoria (whos my fav. diva next to mickie) are they only good descent female wreslters that wwe has, (i hear about katie lee having good skills although i havent seen them yet,) and the rest to me just seem to be used as eye-candy, but still they need better comp on raw, and with smackdown getting the divas belt and maria going there i see that belt as nothing but a eye candy belt seeing as though besides victoria and nattie are the only 1s that can wrestle. so i say move them to raw have victoria drop the ditsy gimmic and have her go bak her old way where she aint jobbing or doing dumb things, and nattie would have better comp to hone her skills building up to a womans title reighn, cause i dont like the fact seeing maria beat victoria for a belt and then victoria not being to beat cherry or michelle mc cool for the belt

well thats just what i think and this would be my 1st thread started so we'll just see how it goes

Personally i think that everybody that should have been drafted was drafted. Sure the are some wrestler that shouldn'T have been drafted like JAmie noble on RAw and Brian Kendrick on Smackdown but for the most part the draft did was it was supposed to do and the wasn't anybody the was forgotten.

Has far as your comment on sending victoria and nattie on raw. I got to disagree on this for two reason. The first is that they need a good wrestler on smackdown to help the young up and comers like maria and michelle mccool how to put on a better match and that why nattie and victoria are on smackdown. Secondly, Victoria style of wrestling is a little stiff and she can injured somebody at anytime. How many divas where injured in the last 3 years by Victoria because she wasn't careful? So i'm guessing that why she should stay on smackdown because at less if she injured somebody, it'S not like it's going to be a big loss.

I don't know dude. Now that Kane and C.M. Punk have left ECW Elijah Burke could be on the upswing. He's already a cocky heel. He will eventually get into a fued with Matt Hardy and become a big time player in ECW again. I'd even go as far as him being ECW champ by the Royal Rumble......Maybe.

As for Natalya and Victoria. I think they stayed on the right show as well. With the Diva championship coming into play shortly. I'm positive that the Diva title will be built around them. They are also there to help the other "unskilled" divas. Especially with the golden girl Maria coming over and Michelle McCool already on Smackdown. I expect a nice rivalry there.

I think they made the right choices leaving these people alone. They are needed on their specific brand. Now some of the other draft choices could be questioned, but thats for another thread.

I think that Paul London was forgotten in the move to smackdown. paul london and brian kendrick will now just be jobbers. Charlie Hass and Val Venis should have been moved to ECW since now they will be jobbing every third month and making very occassional comedic appearances. I also believe that Bam Neely, Colin Delaney, and Snitsky to the unemployment line was also forgotten.
But, in regards to miz and morrison and elijah being forgotten, I have to ask if you've lost your mind! In the absence of Kane, Punk, Shelton, Kofi, and to a way lesser extent Big Daddy V, Matt Hardy and Mark Henry are the only semi-formidable foes for these three on the ECW roster. With the ECW and US titles both on ECW and the champions being mid-level superstars, miz, morrison, and elijah have a very easy climb to the top, provided that the Smackdown superstars stay occupied with the two world titles for the time being. We may soon see Morrison over Henry and Burke over Hardy.

Apart from sitting on the fence and claiming its too early to call, I will say this....The draft is not the be all and end all of a superstars career. Just because a particular wrestler hasn't been drafted, it doesn't mean that he's been forgotten about and left to rot in the locker room. Also on the flipside, if said wrestler was drafted, it doesn't automatically mean they're gonna get a huge push.

Elijah Burke for example, has not been getting on any sort of roll latley, but a move off of ECW would not automatically solve all his problems. If you look at all the holes that the draft has left in the ECW roster, Elijah Burke can easily step up to being a main event player.
Theres M&M, Finlay, Chavo, Hardy and Mark Henry that are probabally guaranteed a spot, Nunzio, Richards and Delaney are jobbers anyway, Boogeyman........ where the hell has he been the last 12 months?, so theres only really Dreamer, Burke, maybe Supercrazy, Knox and that little guy to hold up half a show. This is prehaps the best oppertunity that any of those 5 guys have had to try and make a name for themself as a MEer on ECW.

On the other hand, I'm gonna take Shelton Benjamin for this example, 7 months he was trying to prove himself on ECW, and although he didn't win the championship, i believe he did a good job making up a part of the roster and maybe he did deserve a switch to Smackdown. But does anyone think that anyone on that brand cares about him now that they've got Triple H, Umaga, Kennedy, Carlito and Jeff Hardy. Poor Benjamin is gonna be way down on the list of people to make an impact on Smackdown after the draft. Tell me now, who do you think has become better off because of the switches made.

As far as the women are concerned thou... If there is going to be ONE womens title, exclusivley on one brand, then it absolutley makes sense from a wrestling point of view for all (or most) of the women that are able to contest to be on the same brand.
Unfortunatley, the eye-candy divas are always going to draw a lot more than the dog-ugly ones, Thats why theres the likes of Kelly, Michelle and Candice, all winning matches against the likes of Victoria. Thats why there needs to be a fair balance of the good women on both shows, to help train the others. Who knows, Kelly Kelly might turn out to be as sucessful as Trish Stratus once was.

Overall, I'm not upset about who was moved and who wasn't, but its just up to the writing teams to try come up some interesting feud to kickstart some lost careers.
