The Departed, Return of the King, Gladiator, Braveheart

These are the top four in my "films that are way overrated" list. The Dark Knight is number five, but you knew that.

I agree with Gladiator and Braveheart. Haven't seen Return of the King (Fellowship was so awful compared to the book, that I chose not to watch any of the others).

But The Departed...you couldn't be more wrong. The movie is phenomenal.

Pretty much agreement on all 5. Departed just was ok to me, ROTK-hated it, Gladiator was probably th emost lackluster best picture ever but it was ok at least, Braveheart went on about 90 minutes too long, and TDK is more overrated than Elijah Burke could ever dream of.

Ive only seen ROTK, nowhere as good as the book. Needed to have the scouring of the shire, I wanted to see some dead hobbits.

I watched The Departed when it came on HBO once and it was AWESOME! I hated Matt Damon's character so much LOL, loved Leo's though. It was sad when he got shot.

ROTK was really, really, really, really long. I bought it once it came out on DVD and watched it once, and that's about it LOL. Did like the scene where they get reunited with Merry and Pippin at...uh oh gosh my LOTR knowledge has fled me, oh yeah, Isengard. I think that was in the third movie. They wasted a lot of time with Aragon and Arwen, of course I never much liked their relationship.

To be honest, I forgot I had seen "Return of the King". I thought it was really shit, but I hate that whole genre.

The Departed was ok. But the only part I really enjoyed was the end. Overall it had to many F-bombs for my liking.


Return of the King was the best of the LOTR series. But that's not really saying much IMO.

you jsut so, abstract Sam. A Movie cant be good unless its painfully long and boring and takes itslef far too seriously. you remind me a lot of a good buddy of mine. The fact that you say TDK is overrated shows that you have no soul, thus justifying you being an athiest.
